This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this park. Clean washrooms & showers. No wifi or cable TV and no sewer hook-ups but there is a dump station in the park. Well stocked store and they have a book exchange and movie rentals. Traffic noise could be an issue for some because the park is on the Trans Canada highway and the transport trucks went by on a steady basis. Lots of space between sites. - 69636

We received a business-like reception and an orientation. There are a lot of permanent residents. Some of their sites are quite spacious and some have sewers. The short-stay sites are sewerless, pull-through, and quite close. There is not much shade. As other reviewers have noted, the lanes separating rows of sites are narrow and turning can be challenging. Dog walking, when we were there, was limited to the campground on the road side of the railway because the river side was covered in goose droppings. Wifi is strong by the office. We could occasionally get a connection at our site. Road noise from busy highway 17 (Trans-Canada) was constant. Inside the trailer with the windows shut we were not bothered by it. The occasional train did not bother us either. We were there for an overnight and would do the same again but would not stay longer. - Ian in Nelson

Good place to stop in for a night. Pull thru spots with electricity and water. Dump station on way out. They had a nice looking pool but the weather wasn't cooperating when we were there. Laundry facilities worked well. - spanielrage

Campground is on the shore of the North Channel of Lake Huron at Spanish, Ont and is a new RV facility at an existing lakeside lodge/cottage complex. Very friendly manager. Sites are plumbed for sewer and are awaiting gov't approval to be used but till then there is a pay back-in dump station that is free if staying for a week. Toilet/shower/laundry building should be installed by 2018. The all-back-in sites are arranged in a "T" layout with entrance/exit at the bottom of the "T". Turn right at sign about halfway down the entrance road to the lodge/cottages to enter RV area. Gravel surfaced sites are long and spacing between sites is decent but trees between sites may restrict awning use. Limited WiFi, boat rental and 3 course meal (w/ 24 h notice) are available from lodge, small beach area when lake is at normal level. 3 bar AT&T (Rodgers) cell signal, no off air TV reception. - readontheroad

There are just a few campsites with full hook up on a grassy field adjacent to a pine forest behind a small motel. Sites are spacious, most beneath a few pines trees that are in reasonable health. Highway 17 curves around the motel and campsites so vehicles can be heard at a moderate level and crossing the highway to walk on a side road needs to be done so with great care. Backing up to a fern-floored forest is calming. We were attentively taken back to look at the sites and given our choice of those that were open. Convenient to Hwy 17 but take care in pulling out. About 5 km from Blind River. - Hikers

This is small campground associated with a motel that opened before the season had started for us. The owner went out of his way to provide water for us as it was too early to turn the water on for each individual site due to freeze up potential. It was a beautiful level site. Luxuriant grassy setting. - normsoo
