This campground definitely needs some updating and clean-up. The two different ladies in the office were very nice and pleasant. There is no wifi at sites. Only hot spots at laundry & office buildings. The laundry room is disgusting. NOT maintained AT ALL. Filthy dirty. No attempt to even try to clean this room. Cobwebs all over the ceiling and windows. Owners should be ashamed of this place. And to NOT have wifi throughout the park is just being cheap and lazy. Get with the times. Also, the speed bumps in this park were everywhere and very hard to see. We camped at Rideau Acres Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed for 7 nites in a pull-through site by the waters edge. It was a great site at the end of the row so no one was out our front door. Great views of the waters edge from out the front window. Close to the city of Kingston with it's many attractions. We were so impressed with the area that we booked a longer stay for next year. The park landscaping was top notch. Made for enjoyable dog walks along the many waterfront trails. One draw back was the lack of wifi but this didn't affect us as we had our own hotspot. We camped at Rideau Acres Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed on our way to Nova Scotia and loved it. We made sure we stayed again on our way back to London. Lots of "Natural nature" things for kids and best of all, no idiot adults running around drunk. The beach was well cleaned and fishing was great right off the dock. The young ladies in the office were all very helpful, cute and funny. All round great experience. Our only complaint is that the multi speed bumps throughout the park were built up too high and although our vehicle and camper are higher, we scraped nearly every oneThanks folks. We camped at Rideau Acres Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Our stay was an overnight stop in the off season so we largely had the park to ourselves. There are a number of permanent units which for the most part appear well kept and tidy. The lake side location is beautiful. Our spot was clean, level and with easy proximity to the hook ups. Services worked without problem. The pull thru site was easy to get in and out of. The roads were gravel and easily navigated. There were mature trees in our section, however, they were not hanging down to the point where they would touch our tall motorhome. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would stay here again. We camped at Rideau Acres Campground in a Motorhome.

In a beautiful setting, but the facilities are a bit "ridden hard, and put away wet"...in other words, they could do a better job of cleaning the bathrooms and showers...Weekends are very crowded and expect that summer is crowded all of the time... Nice campground to visit the Kingston area. The roads and site placements are unusual, but workable. Lots of access to the water and variety of watercraft available for rent. The advertised WiFi at the office and hall did not work for our entire stay. We camped at Rideau Acres Campground in a Motorhome.

We camped for one week and didn't see a single staff member in the park. Seasonal and longer term people were not friendly and very territorial. We are experienced campers and are respectful of written and unwritten camping rules but it seems many other campers here are not. People cutting through sites all the time. Sewer hook ups are high up from ground level. Fire pits are just wherever you want (no pit, rocks etc), just have a fire on the grass. Showers in the field area had no hot water both times we tried. Large camp sites though. We camped at Rideau Acres Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here for 3 nights in June. $54 CDN less Good Sam and Passport America discounts. Very nice RV Park, 50amp full hookups. Has a big hall building for meals, games, pool, ponds, peacocks, ducks, guinea hens and more. Very popular with locals. Would definitely stay here again. Not far from downtown Kingston which is a really cool town, old capitol of Canada. We camped at Rideau Acres Campground in a Motorhome.

Recent Rally attendees found the Campground perfect for Rally needs. Relatively newer area has no fire rings, but campfires are allowed on site. A lot of on site activities, beautifully maintained property. Close to tourist interests. Lots of wildlife on the property....keep your camera handy. Lot sizes are really open and spacious in the NE 1-100 area. Nice walking trails. On site RV service available....very skilled. We camped at Rideau Acres Campground in a Motorhome.

This park had a beautiful lake to look at. Nice place to walk the dog.
The bathrooms were full of bugs, everywhere. I spoke to the park manager and the maint guys said the couldn't spray the bugs because EPA says they can't use chemicals!!!! I don't know if that is true or not. I wouldn't go there again. Roads are dirt and lots of ruts ! Electrical weatherproof box didn't have a cover and larger wooden splice box was leaning over and the wood was rotten. We

Large park - they seem to do a good job separating the areas of the seasonal stayers and the temporary (nightly) folks. The area where we were (M7) had some trees but was open enough to be able to drive around pretty easily. You may need to make a 3-point (or 2-point) turn when exiting so consider whether you want to hook up your car or not.
The garbage/recycling was all in the area near the entrance.
We had read about the skunks before coming - glad we knew about them because they may have been a shock otherwise. They seemed to be active near dusk - people with dogs made sure that they walked them well in advance.
We needed a place that was close enough to the US border to allow us to make a quick trip to get prescriptions and some other errands completed and Rideau Acres fit the bill. We

It was perfect Autumn weather for camping and the park population was sparse. The back-in sites are well laid out for spacing. We had full hookup, but 4 sites shared a common post for electricity and water. Each site had an individual 30amp outlet, but only 2 water taps on the post, therefore "Y" taps would be needed. Not sure if the office supplies them, and not everyone carries one of their own (we do). It is a large well provisioned campground alongside the Rideau Canal Waterway. Lots to see in the local region...1000 Islands Boat Cruises, Kingston City Bus Tours, Casino, Over 30 Wineries within an hour. Grass was a little long, but it's late in the season. We will return. We camped at Rideau Acres Campground in a Motorhome.

Staffing issues which affected swimming pool operational hours. Pool closed during daytime and early evening when the outdoor heat and humidity was sweltering. Lake not clean enough to enjoy. Fire ban in effect, although this is not to be blamed on the park. Running water issues so that was down and so was the Internet. This is all at the same time and this park is not a cheap place to stay!! Also had a skunk family hanging around our site and lastly very dusty at roadside caused by speeding traffic. Yes only stayed one night.... We camped at Rideau Acres Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Park has a security gate but in the area where it's situated, I'm not sure it's really required. Staff in the office were friendly and they have a well equipped store for some basic supplies plus an ice cream parlor. The park is very large and there are lots of permanent residents. The park has a lot of potential but it looks a bit "tired". There are a lot of trees and shrubs that need trimming as well as the grass needed to be cut on our site. Wifi is only available in their hall. There is a nice waterfront walking path. There are train tracks nearby but trains do not bother us. If you don't like them, you probably wouldn't like it here. Far enough off the highway that road noise is not a problem. Very quiet at night. We would definitely stay here again if passing through the area. We camped at Rideau Acres Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The park is very close to Kingston, Ontario where there are lots of things to do as well as shopping & restaurants. We didn't unhook this time because we've been to Kingston before but if you haven't been, it is a very beautiful city and worth seeing. There are 2 gas stations just before the park entrance. One for sure, has diesel.
