1 RV Park near Marten River, Ontario
May 2018 - $33.00
We visit every year during the May long weekend as black flies and mosquitos are non-existant (you are on an island surrounded by cedar trees). Make sure you book on the Assinika side - Chiko sides aren`t as nice. Bring cribbing as most sites aren't level. OTHERWISE, 2 nice beaches and parks for the kids. Gorgeous walking trail and fun store just metres away from the main park. - angelel83
Aug 2013 - $48.00
This Provincial Park has a number of campsites along the edge of the Marten River which is a fairly wide quiet river, great for boating. Away from the river the landscape is hilly and wooded with the result that the campsites there tend to be small and not very level. Like most of the Ontario Parks campers are expected to take their garbage each day to the pickup near the entrance so if you do not have a car, its a very inconvenient place to camp, especially at the price they charge. - JTD2
Jul 2009 - $36.00
This park, although pretty, is run down. Roadways are narrow. Map of grounds is terrible. We were sent to a, what they called pull through site, at the back of the park. We had a 31 foot 5th wheel. Roads were wet due to rain. We skidded down hills and around hair pin turns. There is no way they should be sending any big rigs to the back of the park due to the park conditions. $36 dollars for an electric site that was mediocre at best. I would never stay here again. Showers were a mile from the site and not that great. The park looked like it was being neglected. I will not stay at a Provincial park again. Stayed at a private site next night. Better in all ways. Full hook up, $29.00. - murph164
