I would like to begin by stating that the internal communications among staff and the owner is lacking, which affects campers. Upon our arrival we were greeted by excellent front office staff, or so we thought. We were given our site and a list of the rules as well as things to find in the area. We set up on site (had difficulty fitting and leveling a 35 foot trailer). After a few tries we were able to park on the site but needed to park my truck so it was on the gravel/ dead grass. That evening the owner was driving around and stop at our site and informed us that we could not park on the grass. We had to either move our truck to the front parking lot or rearrange our camper on the site. After discussing that if our trailer and truck did not fit on a site, why would we be assigned that site. The owner then claimed that it was campground "policy" and that was our only options. So we reconnected our trailer and was over hanging the road a few inches in the back and when the truck was parked in the front it too was over hanging the road as well. Next item, the pool. The pool is a large pool without any chairs or loungers to sit on when you are swimming. Perhaps it is because they only allow 10 people in the pool at 1 time. Perhaps they don't want you hanging out there. The pool was also filthy with dead bugs in it. Perhaps instead of policing the sites at night he could go and clean the pool instead. They claim that the wifi has been updated, but it is still very slow. After our 2 night stay I went into the office to turn in our key card, and mentioned to the front office that the owner was not very personable and asked if they had any knowledge that campers cannot park on the grass, and they assured me that many of the complaints and poor reviews are a direct result of him! I do not recommend this campground and I would never return despite its proximity to Toronto. We camped at Milton Heights Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Price reflects US currency. Small sites, with excellent WiFi and many TV channels. Level site with grass and pavement. Good for 1 night stop over. Bathroom could use updating. Some sites were close to the noisy highway, but our site was fine. Small store and pool. We camped at Milton Heights Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We hadn't been here in 2 years and not much has changed except the daily rate which had jumped quite a bit which might explain why the park was not nearly as busy as in past years. FHU 50amp back-in site. WIFI worked fine, several OTA TV signals from Toronto and Buffalo are available. This park is bounded on the east by a highway which generates quite a bit of noise and the west boundary is a road utilized by heavy gravel trucks so if peace and quiet are your forte you might want to go elsewhere. Toronto traffic is a nightmare to say the least just as any other large city so it is wise to avoid it. We camped at Milton Heights Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

This area has everything any large metropolitan area has to offer and of course Niagara Falls is about an hour or so south. Hamilton has a very nice Canadian Aviation Museum that is worth visiting and there are several provincial parks around with hiking trails. We avoid Toronto simply because of the traffic and it is very crowded.

This campground has more acreage with more tents and campers than I have seen, so far, in my travels. There are a lot of tent sites, a lot! I walked around and saw the seasonal area which was more homey and shady and removed from the rest of the grounds, as it should be. The rest of us were lined up like we were in a parking lot with many rows, although we parked on grass instead of asphalt. It felt impersonal and certainly didn't lend itself to getting to know the neighbors. Everything was satisfactory, but I'm not sure I would return here again. We camped at Milton Heights Campground in a Motorhome.

This a large park needing some maintenance of the sites and the roads. Our site was a FHU on a gravel turned to dirt base that wasn't level. Although they claim cable, there was no connection at our site. The park is convenient for visiting Toronto. Over half this park is devoted to tenting. We stayed here on our way back home for a night. The park was easy to get to via GPS and signs. Once there the check in was quick and pleasant. Once at our site we found it easy to maneuver into and the amenities were set near the rear but reachable. Water pressure was good, electric stable and sewer close enough. Cable is available but you have to make arrangements with the local cable company yourself. WiFi was good even near the back of the park. If there was anything negative it was the buzz from the highway 401. Other than that it was an excellent experience and we would defiantly stay here again. We camped at Milton Heights Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

A large and beautiful campground with huge, wide open spaces and green grass everywhere. We had a back in site (J14), which meant we faced a huge, wide open tenting area that was completely empty when we were there. Check in was easy, and staff was helpful and friendly. Road are easily navigable. Site was somewhat level, although one of the back, outside tires was off the ground when we leveled with our jacks. 50 amp power was stable. No cable TV, and no enclosed dog park. Wide open view to Dish satellites so locked on to all three satellites. I found the WiFi to be reliable, but we were there during the week and the park was not full. Highway noise was quite noticeable. We've camped in places close to freeways before and have not heard the noise inside our motorhome, but this time we did. Water faucet was not mounted on a pole but was at the end of a hose that came out of some odd in-ground concrete structure. There was a power outage one day we were there, which resulted in the water pressure going down to zero. It returned a few hours later, but then we got a phone call saying that the water should be boiled before drinking. As a result, when we got to our next destination, I had to flush our fresh water system and change the filter. This was the first campground I've ever seen post a notice that drones are not permitted. That was disappointing since the property is beautiful. Despite the water issues and highway noise, I would still stay there again if in the area. We camped at Milton Heights Campground in a Motorhome.

I have been staying here, on and off, for about 15 years. It is one of the closest campgrounds to Toronto, where I have many friends and family. The park has gradually become worse. It lost most of its trees to disease, and is now very open. It has also become a more seasonal park, with many of the sites occupied by people on contract work in the area using most of the better sites. The showers, while a bit dated, are clean and have good pressure. The water is from an on-site well and, while potable, has an off taste that kept us from using it, even for coffee. The store sells 1-gallon bottles of water for $4, although they are $1 at any Walmart or grocery nearby. The girls in the office, and the maintenance guy are great, and will help with anything. The owner is a little dour, though, and can be difficult to deal with. We camped at Milton Heights Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is a good campground for visiting Toronto but traffic to/from the city can be a nightmare, 24/7. If possible, drive into Milton and take the GO bus or GO train. Google GO Transit to get prices and schedules.

The campground is well laid out, very well maintained, and upgrades are ongoing. It is convenient for visiting Toronto. The staff was helpful in recommending things to do and how to get into Toronto. The staff was friendly, but the owner tried to be invisible when making his rounds. He wouldn't even acknowledge or speak to anyone when meeting them on the roads. Certainly not a people person. The only complaints: The shower water was not hot enough, apparently trying to save on propane. Just barely warm enough to tolerate. IF YOU ADVERTISE THAT YOU HAVE WIFI, AT LEAST HAVE A SYSTEM THAT WORKS. It connected easy, but there was not enough bandwidth to even check email. It was that way all week. We hit town on a Canadian 3 day weekend so could only obtain a 30 FHU site when we would normally use a 50 amp site. Several OTA TV signals are available from Toronto. WIFI is always problematic regardless of park loads. This weekend the park was packed full and the signal was very weak, this is a recurring situation which the park seems to simply accept rather than remedy. There is also constant highway noise which had increased when the border trees became insect infected and had to be removed last year. We camped at Milton Heights Campground in a Motorhome.

Not a destination, but fine for one night while traveling through the area. We camp in a Little Rig "Tear Drop" style RV only 15' long w/o toilet or shower ~ plus we like to eat outdoors using the picnic table and set up our dining canopy for sun and weather protection and thus rely on condition of campgrounds facilities and being nearby our site ~ so our critique is focused in that area. Got fairly close to restroom/shower building - the only 1 on site. Had appearance of having been updated with full tile on floors and walls but shower curtains are in need of replacing. Had a bench for seating, no rubber floor mats for your feet when exit showers, no hooks or shelves for your stuff - also none at community sinks area + no paper towels - air dryers only. (towels would have helped to reduce the messy area and campers would use them to keep area cleaner) no convenience items (aside for the nice bench) for campers Showers are adequate and hot Overall park is ok with fairly level paved (cracking asphalt) level sites and paved roadways. Sites close together, but not cramped each with picnic table & fire pit with narrow strip of grass between each - hey this is a rv park after all not like camping at public campgrounds although they have tent sites on the grass and under the trees, however not handy to the restrooms We camped at Milton Heights Campground in a Travel Trailer.

50amp, FHU, back-in site. We come here because we have family close by otherwise we would find another park. Several over the air TV signals from Toronto and Buffalo. WIFI here has been and remains a serious issue, it simply does not work even though the park was virtually empty and we were right next to the building housing a router, however management is wonderful at offering excuses for it. Electric was not a problem this year as in the past. The park lost 400 trees to disease this year and it changed the setting immensely and the loss allows more traffic noise from the 401 and the area. We camped at Milton Heights Campground in a Motorhome.

Price reflects one night stay under Canadian amount. Paved interior roads and sites. Had a 60 foot pull-through, 30 amp electric, water, and sewer that worked great. TV antenna received 15 channels. The Internet was worthless in the evening. Good in the morning before we left. Need to cut back tree branches. Some road noise. Allows campfires. Somewhat easy in and out with a 60 foot combo.
