2 RV Parks near Morpeth, Ontario
Oct 2017 - $36.00
The camp store was closed for the season, but the nature office was open and was quite interesting. The beaches were nice, but the water was cold in October. Lots of roads and paths to bike. only problem, my sister in law got a tick and had to go to the hospital in Blenhiem. They thought it was a dog tick, not a deer tick. Deer ticks are a problem though, so you have to check yourself constantly. - crunch27

With only a couple caveats, we loved our stay at Rondeau Provincial Park. We were looking for a quiet and relaxing place to get some beach time.
The campsites are fairly private with many trees and bushes separating campers. There is a fill station near the dump station to fill up your fresh water tank. The showers were some of the best that we have every seen. Water was almost too hot!
The beach areas that are walkable from the campground are grown up with weed right down the the waterline and are infested with mosquitos. There are other nice beaches, but you have to drive a few minutes. The dog beach is the farthest away (+5km). The beaches are nice, with a combination of sand and some pebble. The Lake Erie water temperature was "warmer than New England but colder than Virginia Beach".
The staff were quite helpful. We had an electrical problem at our site and someone came right away to fix it. On the other hand some new campers arrived right next to us who were more into partying. The weed smoking would begin early in the day and the noise at night was a bit more than acceptable. We complained to the staff and were promised an intervention, but nothing changed. We just ran the fan in our trailer at night and it drowned out most of the noise...
In the area here is hiking, biking, fishing and beach and that's pretty much it. To go to town for supplies is a 20 min drive.
If you're looking for peace and quiet in a natural setting, that's what you'll get! - Hit The Road

This park has mostly seasonal campers but there are perhaps 25 to 40 transient spots. There are only three sites with sewer hookups for transient; however, they like to keep them for people that are staying longer term. They are right on Lake Erie and have a nice clean beach. There is a marina just down the road. They are only open seasonally. - tefarmer
