2 RV Parks near Nipigon, Ontario
Aug 2013 - $35.00
As someone else has said, the folks here are great and very accommodating. While their website did say the business was for sale, it is not, and that is good for us all! Yes, the 30 amp power is a tad on the 25 amp side but if you are an RVer and do not use a protective power supply transformer then . . . what more can I say. We stayed here for three days on our way to Dryden and will stop by again on our way home. Place is spotless and level with easy access. - Aftica

Very friendly personnel who allowed us to choose our site so that we could be assured satellite reception. They only have 30 amps and it is not good clean power. We had to run a cord from another lot because we could not get consistent power. Nice location; clean and well kept. Electric is only problem. Nice stop for a couple of days. - Freedom Bus

This is a really nice tent and RV park with grass sites (ours was level), 30 amp electric, water, decent Wi-Fi, and sewer, 7 miles east of Nipigon. It is well maintained by very friendly and helpful owners and a peaceful place to stay. It has a small laundry with one washer and one dryer at $2 (loonies) to wash and dry. Right on Highways 11&17 with some road noise. - nedmtnman

Don't let the entrance to the park fool you. It's also a rental center for U-haul. All you see when you get to the park is gravel and an office and the U-haul trailers. I wanted a 50 amp pull-thru so that limited my selection to a gravel area with no trees and nothing special. If you want a 30 or lower amp site, you will probably be back in the woods down one of the quaint gravel roads. It really looks like you're just in the woods with a picnic table here and there. The hook-ups aren't noticeable at all, so the sites are very natural-looking. There is a creek running along the campground. I would stay here again. OH, the guy who lives on the campground and works in the office is super friendly and helpful. He answered my calls and made changes for me without any problem. He's one of the best I have met thus far on my trip. Internet worked really well. That's been rare in the RV parks where I have stayed over the last 4+ months. This campground is nothing special, but if you want to feel like you are out in the words where the sites are grass and everything is left natural, then you will like it here. - EdinFL

We stayed here overnight, and didn't really have time to explore the park, but were well satisfied with with our site and its services. We received a warm welcome and outstanding assistance in dealing with a vehicle service matter. Would stay here again. - Auld Scot

This was an extremely convenient campground used as an overnight stop on our way through. The convenience to the highway means you are going to experience traffic noise, but it wasn't terrible. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The site was level and all of the hookups were in close proximity and worked without problems. There are no low hanging trees or tight turns making this an easy place to get in and out of. Would stay here again. - Riptorn
