4 RV Parks near Onaping, Ontario
Aug 2017 - $45.00
Stayed one night. Park isn't highly technical - no email, no credit card machine, and had some challenges contacting them. They advised in advance that they were a cash-only place, so I was prepared for that. They had somewhat "lost" my reservation when I arrived. There is an EXTRA fee for dumping, which I did not know about - some sites appear to have sufficient location for grey water at a trickle, at least. Facilities are VERY old, but washrooms and showers were functional and as clean as possible. The lake looked very good. There were a few swings in the "playground" although one of the infant swings was missing a part. The park could use at least 1 more sign on the way in to advise you that you're on the right road. Appears to be mainly seasonal campers, and as such, we never felt truly "welcome". - Webbeyes

A good park if you like canoeing. Three lakes accessible from the campground and more elsewhere in the park. Gravel sites in Hawks Nest North campground where we stayed. Hiking trails for those who hike. Not a lot of highway noise (in Hawks Nest campground) even though Highway 144 runs thru the park. I imagine it would be noisier in Wild Rose. Tree cover/shade isn't as good as it could be due to tornado damage in 2002. Poplar and birch are growing up now. - revrnd
