Overall Rating:

This park was originally laid out for travel trailers and tents. The sites are generally short, but with good separation, so they seem private. We had a real challenge parking our 32' fifth wheel as the site was very unlevel and barely long enough to fit the rig and our tow vehicle parked across the entrance. The 30 amp outlets do not have on site breakers - but we did not experience any problems with voltage drop while there. The water pressure is good. Showers and toilet buildings are old, in need of updating, but were clean. The majority of the sites are seasonal. Park suffers from a lack of maintenance. Roads are tight for anything over 35'. We would stay elsewhere if we come again. We camped at Providence Bay Camp and Trailer Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Absolutely see the Mississagi Lighthouse and Meldrum Bay! Huron Chips is a great place for fish sandwiches and burgers - 10 minute walk from the park. In Mindemoya, use the laundromat behind the ice cream shop - avoid the other laundromat down the street. Don't miss Mum's Restaurant & Bakery in Mindemoya - terrific! Finally, a "shout-out" to Clydes on Hwy 551 on the way from the park to Mindemoya. BEST burgers and fries in Ontario!!!! Try the Haweater burger - it won't disappoint.

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here while visiting relatives in the area. A wonderful, relaxing place. Top notch in all respects, spacious sites, helpful and pleasant staff, nearby beach on Lake Huron provided excellent swimming. The only negatives are that no cell service is available, Wi-Fi only near the office, 15 Amp only and no sewer hookups although there is an easy access dump station. We would stay here again. We camped at Providence Bay Camp and Trailer Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

What a clean, comfy and beautiful place! Fire pit, electric and water on lot. Firewood 7$ for a wheelbarrow that lasts for 3-4 nights! Store with treats, groceries, milk, eggs, etc. Walking distance to the most beautiful beach on Lake Huron. HUGE children's park a short walk away - lots of things to go see near park (Bridal Falls, Cup and Saucer hiking trail, ChiChimaun ferry, etc). Staff super friendly and sites super clean! Thank you! We camped at Providence Bay Camp and Trailer Park in a Travel Trailer.
