Jul 2016 - $30.00
This campground is right off I-5. There are only 12 pull-through full hookup RV sites in the motel's parking lot. Sites are very close together. There is a bathroom but we couldn't get the door open. We did see a sign to the laundry room but didn't use it. Wifi was available and signal was strong. All utilities functioned well. We camped here overnight and will come back again. - gartail
Nov 2009 - $29.00
We pulled in to this location due to bad weather and a review that didn't sound too bad; however, just the appearance of the motel should have been a clue that this was not going to be a quality experience. For $29 you get a tight pull through between antique 30 amp power pedestals, with your tow in a grass/dirt lot and most of the coach hanging into the parking lot. Only the cable TV kept the rating lower. Seedy looking permanent units, noise from the highway, and big rigs using the space behind all night contributed to a restless night. A good $12 stop, but for $29 it's a ripoff. We'll drive through the area in a blizzard next time rather than stop here. - Meanderman
Aug 2008 - $27.00
This is a very convenient park for overnighting. It's literally right off the freeway, easy to pull in, pay, put the jacks down and hook up, and go the next morning. No shade to speak of, but all the hook ups work. It feels exposed, being basically part of the econolodge parking lot, but we felt safe, and it was really quiet. You get use of the laundry and pool at the motel, which was a bonus. Cable is very good with 90+ channels. Decent Wi-Fi signal from inside my trailer all the way across the motel parking lot. If you're either doing an over night stay, or if you'll be out of the camper a lot, this would be a decent option. The others in this area are a bit more spendy, and farther away. Worked perfectly for me. - beartoothweb

Sep 2018 - $30.00
32 RV sites with power/water/sewer, almost all back-in but plenty long. Reservations are not accepted within 2 weeks of your stay, but the county park reservation clerk, when called, will let you know if/how many sites are unreserved at the moment, if you are arriving that day. Without a reservation, drive around checking displayed reservation slips at each site to find one not reserved for the duration of your stay. When driving in, continue past the Oak Slope no-hookups campground entrance (on left) to "The Point" campground. Quiet location, with no OTA TV or wifi, but excellent Verizon bandwidth. When we were there, the lake was *very* low (well below the end of the boat launch) but there was still a rowing club practicing at sunrise and sunset every day. - TheBreeze
Aug 2018 - $30.00
We have stayed at this park several times this year and find it very delightful. The only drawback is that there is no wifi, but knowing that ahead of time, we can make alternate arrangements. Park is clean and quiet and a great place for boating. We don't have a boat, but the sites at the campground allow you to have excellent views of all the lake activities. - B Carrick

I love being able to stay in County and State Parks. They almost always are clean, cheap and oftentimes have something lovely to see. Sometimes they are quite difficult to get in to, but Emigrant Lake wasn't difficult at all - mostly due to the fires in Southern Oregon and Northern California. Which made the air quality around Ashland - well, horrible. That was the only sour note here and nothing to do with the park. We would have been able to walk to the lake's edge almost from our site if the water levels were at normal. But with the air being awful, we weren't up for that anyway. Of course the day we left, we saw some blue skies and puffy clouds. Used the shower facilities - very clean. The camp host lives at the entrance to the park and she was very relaxed - we found a card with our name and dates right on it when we made it to our site, so you can say that their computer system works great, as I booked online. The Lake is very multi-use, and we did see hardy souls fishing and boating, but the nearby kids areas were empty and the RV Park was fairly sparse, when normally this time of year it would be at capacity. We'd love to return during cooler weather, but before the winter. Let's just say - NOT in fire season! - Ellistea

This is an older park and keeping the restrooms clean is a chore, however the restrooms were clean, but the showers could have been a bit cleaner. Our site was level and the hook ups were centrally located. The wifi and cable worked great at the site. The roads were quite narrow for large rigs. The owner was on site and very helpful. - Al and Anne-Marie
Jul 2018 - $36.00
Would not stay here again. Dusty, very un-level site, water pressure was decent and the 30 amp power was extremely high (133 volts), Interior roads were very hard to navigate with a 30' trailer and the back-in site was very short. Stayed only one night and that was enough. A very shady place, be careful for low hanging branches. - SD75mac
Aug 2017 - $41.00
Small, old, 11 full hookups - 5 larger (we had #17 nice) 6 smaller. Bathrooms old but immaculate. Shady. Quiet. 10 min. from downtown Ashland & Shakespeare. - LinBrew

This park is a long ways from the town of Ashland. The marina was open, but everything else had closed. No one to check in with and our name was on the post site. There were maybe 4 other RVers in the park. The site we were given was very unloved. In fact when the jacks were down our front tires were about 3 inches off the ground. Obviously we didn't pick the best time to stay at this park. It was very clean. Lots of pine trees. A little tight for us to get to site in one spot. - Gusie
Apr 2017 - $30.00
Love the store, restaurant, and marina! We camped in the south loop under big pines and near the lake. Great hiking trail and fun fishing jetty. We rented a boat and bought fishing tackle at the marina. The soft serve ice cream is famous in Southern Oregon. The Jackson County staff was kind and helpful. - T_Lam01
Aug 2016 - $30.00
We had a nice site in the trees which worked for our big motorhome. But the sewer was located way in the rear of the site and impossible to hook up to without about 25 feet of hose. The restrooms were very clean and the showers nice. The restaurant had a very good breakfast and lunch - don't miss the onion rings - they are GREAT! It's a very quiet campground. It's about 18 miles from Ashland up a steep mountain road. There's no cell - no WiFi. We had to drive a bit down the road to find a place for cell. It would be nice if there was at least a pay phone or even WiFi at the restaurant. The lake was low when we were there but understand it's popular for fishing and water sports. Staff is great and friendly. - KampingKris

We stayed one night at this site. It is located on the shores of Hyatt Lake. It is beautiful, quiet and peaceful. All the sites have a table and fire pit. The bathrooms are clean and have free and hot showers. The camp host is very helpful and friendly. There is a beach area with playground equipment and supposedly great fishing in the lake. The site has a dump station that is convenient. Some sites have a nice view of the Lake, although I guess they don't qualify as "waterfront". One surprise for us: our friends who arranged for us to camp there told us "It's 16 miles off I-5 on Highway 66." What they didn't tell us that it is a steep winding road that ascends about 4000 or more feet; it might be a challenge for big rigs. Be sure you are all fueled up before you start the drive, as there are no gas stations along the way. We were told there is a gas station about 6 miles past the camp site, but the gas is very expensive. - neuronz

We were here over labor day and were lucky enough to get the biggest site they had for our 35' motorhome with a huge covered patio and "backyard" area. It's a funky little place where we've been before so knew what to expect. We were surprised that there was only a water and electric hook-up and no cable and sewer as others had stated on here that they had. We did not hook-up to the water. We were able to get a few local TV stations with our antenna and our Verizon MiFi, cell phone & AT&T cell phone all worked well here. We would definitely stay here again. - Bill & Debby's Wild Ride
Jun 2011 - $25.00
The only reason to stay here is the large swimming pool, spa and sauna. The camp ground is nearly all long term residents and most sites are junky. There are only a few sites available for brief stays. The spa and pool are open to the public. - waterwoman
Sep 2009 - $25.00
WARNING!!!! DON'T HOOKUP TO THE RV PARK WATER! Make sure your tanks are full before staying here. The sulfur water is not only smelly, but attracts flies as the smell is kin to a carcass. This campground is more for people coming to use the Springs. As stated there is only 5 available spots, the rest is taken by hippie-oneness. Management accommodating & hard working, the rest of the staff is not. Nice facilities for the Springs. Nice pool, hot springs pool, sauna & spa. It seems they only use the sulfur water as the secondary water & tap into a separate spring for the pools. Good place to rent a tee pee, swim naked after dark & remember your youth. - millie5

This is a permanent resident park with just a couple spots available for a one night stop while traveling through the area. A place to spend the night cheap, nothing more. That said, we were pleased with our stay. Due to a truck problem we had to stay two nights. Manager was very understanding and worked with us on the rate. Lot of maintenance work under way, mowing, fixing up laundry and restrooms. This park is just a couple hundred feet from I-5, so a lot of highway noise should surprise no one. We would stop here again for an overnight. - PawPaw
Oct 2016 - $31.00
Some of the reviews I read said stay here only as a last resort. I say keep on going!!! This Park as they call it was 95 % full timers, people who live there. I'm trying to think of a word that would describe the entire park, and slumy is the word I come up with. I wouldn't walk around at night, that is for sure. The sites for people just passing through are just gravel. Nothing more. The pool looks like it has not had water in it 10 years. The tennis courts, yes there is a tennis court at least that's what the sign says, is just busted up Asphalt and no net whatsoever. No amenities whatsoever . I wouldn't stay here again even if they paid me to do so. Keep on going. - Westie mom

"Seedy". Manager in the PM was rude and unfriendly. Person on phone in AM was pleasant. Pool empty. Quiet. Grass spaces. Right off fwy. For cost an overnight stay only. Park for sale. Pretty rose garden. - Havasu Travelers

Aug 2017 - $53.00
Bottom Line: it's a good overnight stop close to I-5 and I would use it for that again. Good: Its close to I-5. No noise in the trailer from the freeway. Clerk at the desk was friendly and helpful. Sites are reasonably spaced and long and level enough that you don't have to unhook. Others: Price is way too high! Showers and laundry weren't a disaster, but they weren't clean either. I wouldn't let my kids swim in the pool...it looked dirty. There was a lot of small trash in the campsite. The picnic table was so rusted, it looked unsafe to use. - Josh H
Apr 2017 - $52.00
Having stayed here before, we had to stay here 1 night as there weren't many options to choose from in this area. This stay was worst than previous stays. The park is a short drive from I-5 (Exit 24: Fern Valley / North Phoenix Rd) along multi-lane busy roads. There is major interchange construction so access is changing during the project. The park is located behind the motel. Registration is in the motel's office. The majority of the sites appeared to be LONG term. The condition of the long term sites really impacts the overall appearance of the park. One of the term tenants appeared to be park maintenance. The sites are a mixture of back-ins and P/T's. The interior roads and sites are paved. The few P/T's that were available are angled so there are easily accessed. But there are some trees at the exit end of the sites which are growing so they are starting to encroach on the lane of travel. The interior roads and turns are adequate that we didn't need to disconnect the toad until we got into the site but we disconnected to make getting in easier. The P/T sites were long enough for coaches & their toads. This park understands the simple concept of the importance of a flat, level site as the sites were level and flat. Distance and a short fence around the utility connections establish privacy between the sites but there isn't much privacy as the sites are close to each other. They have full hook ups - water, electricity (50/30/20 AMP), & sewer. The utility connections were easily accessed. The sewer connection was at the ground so it was easy to establish a downhill flow. The sites have a metal table but no campfire ring. There are a few trees scattered around the park so satellite reception would be dependent upon site assignment, your dish configuration and the time of year. Didn't try to get any broadcast channels. The park provided WiFi was adequate. The access point was located in the pool area. - bsb814
Jul 2016 - $48.00
This RV park's daily rate with Good Sam discount is $48. I do not see any amenity that would justify such a high daily rate. They do have a swimming pool but does not justify such high daily rate.
The sites are paved and level. There is no shade at any of the sites and offers good satellite reception. Long term resident sites appeared trashy and not well maintained. The bathrooms are clean but the ventilation is non-existent which caused the doors to be propped open. It is very hard to have a relaxing bathroom break while listening to conversation in the laundry room which is right outside the bathroom.
No, we won't be coming back here because of the high daily rate and we don't feel we got what we paid for. - gartail

We have stayed here multiple times, either traveling south from Seattle or while going to plays in Ashland. It is a nice park with a creek along one side of the property. Paved sites with grass in between and a picnic table. Spaces are a little tight. Good hookups with cable TV. A lot of long term residents, but they save a bunch of long pull through sites facing the creek for shorter stays. Also some nice pull in sites right on the creek for smaller RV's. Easy access from I-5 but no road noise. - thyde
Oct 2018 - $47.00
We had a long pull-through site that was asphalt. Some grass but also a lot of dirt that got muddy. There was plenty of room for slide-outs but sites were close enough that our picnic table was close to our neighbor's hook-ups. Very clean laundry facilities. The machines were older but in good working order. There was even an iron & ironing board. Many people here appear to be long term residents but most RVs were well taken care of. The person who checked us in was friendly & helpful. This RV park is very close to the interstate but was surprisingly quiet. Trees & a large building & shopping center help block any traffic noise. - storms
Aug 2018 - $40.00
The park was difficult to negotiate with a large motorhome and tow car. It is an older park with limited space. The staff was friendly and competent. The entrance was a little difficult find in behind a strip mall. - Shadoe

This is a fair ground with a few power poles for electric, a dirt parking lot with horse poop all around. Camp Host was rude and all but call my husband a liar. We paid a premium price for nothing we will never stay here again and will consider never coming to southern Oregon again. They are putting in an RV park next to the fair grounds. I would have put no stars if that was possible. - sherryh1014
