Aug 2017 - $31.00
Large gravel site being about 50'x50' (or so) with lots of space between sites. Blacktop loop road and short blacktop stub leading to each gravel site. Well maintained. Sites were not level but with a casual glance at other sites nothing appeared to be extreme. Our site was on the east loop and we were out in the open. Water, 50A hookups were near the rear and sewer was about center of the site. Water pressure was good and tasted OK. We arrived late morning but since there was no one in our site we were able to setup. Verizon voice/data was average. Had plenty of room for our 38' MH and towed. Lots of hiking trails and the Banks Vernonia Trail (a rails to trails trail) goes through the park. - Ramblin On
Jul 2017 - $31.00
This was the first time I've visited in many years. The basics haven't changed except for the addition of many more trails. Hookups are in good condition and the water is excellent. Many (but not most) sites have shade in either the morning or afternoon. Satellite reception should be clear from most sites, but OTA is doubtful. Very quiet campground with large sites makes for a peaceful stay. I'll be returning often. - frmOregon
Jul 2017 - $30.00
We have stayed here several times before and always have liked it. This time we were in the lower campground #5 and it was fine. Great bike trail and we rode it several times. The only issue/concern was the water pressure seemed a bit low...otherwise great SP. Verizon LTE 2 bars worked fine. We were able to put up our Direct TV satellite up and got a good signal... - IslandGuy

Sep 2016 - $30.00
The only thing which has changed since my last report in 2012 is they had a 50% price increase to $30. The "value" is just not there at the $30 rate. Having said that, if you have reason to be in Hillsboro your other choices entail 35-45 minute drive one way to get here. They don't allow non-event RV parking in July & August because of the number of fairground events scheduled. If you plan on staying, call 503-648-1416, Ext. 200 to be sure they will allow non-event RV parking. - A-S_Travels
Aug 2012 - $20.00
As noted before, this is a gravel parking lot, but there are no other RV Parks within 20 miles of Hillsboro. If you have a reason to stay in Hillsboro, this is your best option. Note: if there are fairground events scheduled needing the RV sites you will not be allowed to stay. Call to check availability before arriving. There is 20amp ONLY available and the elect outlets are pretty well beat up. The electric contacts may not make good contact with your elect cord. Don't try to run your A/C. Water is available at each parking site, but no dump station available. No picnic tables. If there are RV's in the sites next to you, you may not be able to open an awning as well as your slides. I am not trying to be negative, just stating the facts so people know what to expect. We stayed here in an motorhome, and will stay here again as we have family in Hillsboro. - A-S_Travels
Aug 2006 - $20.00
This is basically a flat spot at the fairgrounds on which to park your RV. The sites have 20 amp electrical and water - nothing else. There are no restrooms, showers, dump stations or any other facilities. Some of the sites are shaded by trees. Not withstanding these shortcomings the site is perfect if visiting friends in Hillsboro, Oregon and you need a convenient place to camp. The site is directly across the street from the Hillsboro airport. Not withstanding the location, it was surprisingly quiet. Fair staff is friendly and considerate. I would stay there again if in Hillsboro. On Google Earth you can find the RV park at latitude 45°31'52.35"N and longitude 122°56'58.99"W. - Gerry Brentnall

Oct 2018 - $20.00
This is a member only Elks Lodge. A restaurant/grill/bar is available inside of lodge. A large community room is provided for lodge functions. A ribeye dinner is served every first Friday and Saturday of the month for lodge members and their guests. It is highly recommended to make a reservation. The pads are all back in, concrete, with a power pole at end of each pad. Water is shared between two camp sites with a Y-connector already provided. A dump site is available within a 3 mile radius for a $5.00 fee. Sites are off to the west side of the parking lot and can accommodate a 45' RV/trailer. The sites are close but not intrusive with gravel patios. I couldn't fully deploy my patio awning. There is room in the paved parking lot for trailers. There is a camp host that will greet you upon arrival and complete the registration process. Fees can be paid in check/cash or credit card. A nice park is located behind the lodge. There are nice bike paths available through the adjoining subdivision to gain access to the park. The lodge is close to shopping and other amenities. The lodge is about 25 minutes west of Portland. The beaches are about an hour west. I would certainly return to this lodge when camping in the Portland area. Must be an Elks member to camp here. - kihei7

May 2009 - $10.00
This is a primitive mostly tent camping park is nicely sized at 7 acres. There is a couple of spots for small RV's, There is a pit toilet and water via hand pump. The spots are secluded and private. This campground is sometimes known for rowdy party's on the weekends because of it's lack of camp host and sheriff patrols, however it is pretty much unknown to most, so you will likely be the only one there on weekdays. There is no firewood for sale and no cell service in the area. - josh970506

Park is in disrepair, can't use picnic tables, grounds are full of mole holes, rats (we saw two) the size of small dogs with tails a foot long next to bathrooms. It is necessary to rake and clean camp sites before use. So called "Park Hosts" are extremely rude, and were harassing to our family and others we spoke with who were RV campers. In my opinion the park should be closed and there should be customer service classes given to "hosts". Park hosts tried to overcharge us, until we challenged them and requested a written document citing park rules and prices. - Appalled2
Aug 2014 - $25.00
This is the smallest RV park I've ever stayed in. Only 6 sites. Next to an airport where many small aircraft take off and land during the day. Interesting to watch them come and go. Park has brand new hookups. Bathrooms also in excellent shape - looked like a recent remodel. The summer camp host very friendly and accommodating. Playground for the kids and huge trees to give shade, so comfortable in just about any heat. During the day there is a fair amount of truck traffic on the road next to the campground. Very quiet at night. Llama farm next door emits a barn odor when the wind is right. Very nice campground. Would stay again. - vtofa
Oct 2010 - $18.00
Only 6 sites, and they list short lengths, but we parked our 40' motorhome with no problem in a longer site. Half of the sites have water, sewer, electric on the wrong side. Nice park with tall trees, lots of shade, grass, and a playground. No cable but excellent TV reception. There are planes taking off during the day but it is quiet at night. Rate is with Senior discount. - P & C

Aug 2013 - $14.00
It is difficult for us to give a fair rating, as we stayed there during the annual Jamboree and Logging Festival. We were looking for a place to stay for the weekend, and the campground hosts kindly provided us with a space to boondock. This is a small city park, with regular space for RV's, which in our case had already been filled. This is a pleasant campground in a small town up in the Coastal Range. It is an OK place for a weekend and would likely be a good place to stay during the week, when there is less activity about. - hoppytoad
Mar 2010 - $16.00
Small, quiet city campground. Located right along the Nehalem River. Price quoted was for W/E, $22 for full hookups, has a dump station. Some long term residents, but they were not a problem. Can choose sun or shade. No cable TV and no over the air TV. Lots of hiking opportunities. Makes for a very peaceful stay. - frmOregon
Nov 2008 - $22.00
Sites were only $16 for electric only, $22 for full hook up. Location is great. It's in a big park, family friendly. The park was quiet and the park has big douglas firs and the geography is beautiful. Quick walk to Vernonia downtown, restaurants, etc. - SethL

Sep 2018 - $45.00
Interesting place. The riverfront sites are tight, full hook up with 30 amp electric. Our site 20 was next to site 56 ?? And the hookups are on a shared pedestal. Our neighbors connectors were on the opposite side of their rig and they inaverantly hooked up to ours. Easy fix and we got to know our neighbors quickly! The site was level, dirt surface and easy to maneuver into. (You pull in forward and back out). There is no WiFi here. The check in was quick, check or cash only. The store seems to be well stocked with items you need in a pinch along with some of their local fruit and veggies. (About half the price of a store). Check what's in season when you camp there. The access is via the only bridge to the island and about 6 more miles on a paved but winding road. Watch out for bikers, they share the road. The interior road is tight by the barns but open up by the sites. It was fun to watch the ships and tugs on the river going by. - DJR CMR
Jul 2016 - $25.00
On Sauvies Island .Great Riverfront RV Sites. Ocean going Ships come by Daily. Fishing right off the Beach. Office staff(Heather) Very helpful. Make reservations in advance. 30 amp only, full hookups.Dog Friendly. Direct TV OK on some river sites. Plenty of shade. No Cable, but approx 30 over the air local HD Channels. Will return. - silverado
Oct 2015 - $30.00
We stayed 3 nights midweek in our 40' motorhome. Our site was right on the river. We had a very enjoyable time and had to say that it was the quietest campground that we have ever stayed. It is 30amp electrical water and some sites sewer. Most of the campground was long term residents but that was no problem. The bathroom was on the rustic side but kept clean. There was a shower in each of the bathrooms. There was no wifi but the Verizon signal was good. - Oregonhikers

One of the few long stay parks in the area that still has some sites for under $500 a month. Most of the spaces are on gravel, except some of the back loop spaces are on concrete pads, all roads are gravel. Few permanent residents, but most are there for work on the Intel Campuses in Hillsboro are not permanent. Front Spaces rates breakdown at: Monthly: $375 Weekly: $140 Daily: $45 Back Spaces rates breakdown at: Monthly: $425 Weekly: $160 Daily: $50 Front spaces are mostly 30amp service, with a few spots that have 30 and 50 amp. Back spaces all have 50 amp service. Electricity is metered on monthly stays. There is no Wifi, Verizon Wireless is the best option for internet in the area, other Wireless carriers signals are weak. TV is by antenna, or your own satellite system. - The Redneck Express
Jun 2010 - $30.00
If you're looking for a long term stay RV Park, Island Cove is one of the few you'll find for under $500 a month in the Portland area that have monthly rates available (Multnomah County actually has a law not allowing extended stays at RV Parks). The closer together front side-sites are 30 amp and $350 a month, the back, more spaced out sites with the concrete pads and 50 amp service, "Premium" as the previous reviewer called them, are $400 a month. The park does have Wi-Fi, however, the speed can be hit and miss as its satellite based (No wired High Speed is available past the County Line). - The Redneck Express
Jun 2010 - $30.00
We did not stay here. We didn't have reservations, called and spoke to on-site manager who was very helpful and had a couple of open sites. We pulled in and were somewhat put off. Appears mostly long term residents, some sites were junky and on lawn area. The premium sites were cleaner with newer units on concrete pads but none available when we needed to stay. We were not willing to stay in the lower cost area, it is not our style of camping. Cash only at this park if you intend to stay: we were quoted $30/night. - KitandDH

Sep 2018 - $36.00
Well kept park in a busy area. Lots of people here on long term stays and there is an adjoining mobile home park. Site only large enough and finding a parking space for our tow vehicle was nearly impossible. I must add to the issues with noise. The commercial flights out of PDX are noisy enough but the Oregon National Guard planes are horrid with noise. Oh, well consider it to be the "sound of freedom" and enjoy how convenient this place is to Portland and Vancouver. - SteveSox
Sep 2018 - $40.00
The park itself was nice, the employees were very nice and helpful. The sites was average in size, a bit tight to back into. The Park was clean and in good condition. Unfortunately there was an issue that was outside the parks control the impacted our stay. The noise was horrible. The park is directly in the flight path for both commercial and military aircraft. Also the roadway right outside the park has constant semi trucks moving back and forth. Pretty much all day and night. - Mikeflys13
Aug 2018 - $36.00
The last time we were here (9 years ago), we were specifically requested a satellite friendly site at the time of both reserving the site and check-in but were not give one in spite of sites being available. This time we were lucky to get what we requested. The urban noise does not bother us. On the plus side, being in an urban area, there are also plenty of antenna channels. Our site was a level, FHU site. While this park has decent facilities and amenities, it also many extended stay customers and a trailer park next door. As long as I can get a acceptable site, this situation does not bother us the way it does so many people on this site. The bathrooms and laundry were fine. We were able to enjoy the pools. I did not see any recycling - Jerry S
