This is a very nice campground. Our site was in the direct sun all day and it was very hot. If I were to go back I would choose a more shaded site. Having said that I do not think I would go back. The staff is VERY RUDE! From the person that answered the phone to take my reservation to the snotty young girl that was riding around in the grounds keeper ATV. We camped at Boardman Marina Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We were diverted from our planned trip to La Grande due to flooding in the area and drove back to the Boardman park as we have stayed there one time before. The site (#14) was a pull through and a bit tight. I had to move my rig around to make sure the slide out didn't hit a tree and to make sure the other spaces were clear to enter/exit. Very friendly staff, park was spotless. The back in spaces on the river side were very nice, and will request one the next time we stay. Pendleton is about 45 miles east on I-84. Lots of services there. We camped at Boardman Marina Park in a Travel Trailer.

This was a nice find for one night. We traveled in a 23 ft trailer without any problems with our pull through site. Restrooms clean. Did not use wi-fi. Would stay there again. We camped at Boardman Marina Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is a gem. It might need a little polishing. It was tight pulling in and out of our site (but we are about 67'). Some sites were small and some very large; some were shady others not. There is a lot of green space and a lot of river front with paved trails. Each site has a table and a unique grill that can be a campfire too. Mostly it's location, location etc. We camped at Boardman Marina Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Well maintained park situated right on the Columbia. Grass is green (even in September!) and freshly mowed, and there are many large shade trees. Sites vary a lot. Many have lots of space between them, but others, especially along the road, are tightly bunched. We had a nice back-in along the Columbia. Roads are narrow and getting into our space took some manuevering, but wasn't bad. Utilities are convenient. Only interaction with staff was by phone. The young lady was very courteous and proficient. We will be back. We camped at Boardman Marina Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is another park we haven't been to in a while (2013). Fortunately, we were able to get a spot at this popular park in the middle of the week. Our site was a fairly level FHU site that was also satellite friendly. Many of the pull through sites are satellite friendly but only a few of the back ins are. The Wi-Fi was good enough for our minimal (e-mail and web surfing) needs. While the bathrooms were not as disgusting as they were 5 years ago, they were still substandard on my cleanliness scale. I saw no recycling. This a park with a great location but barely average facilities. We camped at Boardman Marina Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This park offers spacious sites right along the Columbia River. Interior roads are all paved and in fair condition. There are loops on each end that are narrower than the primary roads, which are all one-way meaning many sites have to exit via the narrow loops. Some sites are wide open, and others have shade. Our huge back-in site was half paved and half gravel, an odd combination, but it was surprisingly level once the rear wheels dropped off the pavement onto the gravel. We were completely shaded under a large tree, so were unable to get a DirecTV signal. VZW was good but Park Wi-Fi and Sprint were very weak. This park is popular with locals as well as people traversing I-84, so there were several larger groups using multiple sites partying. Most observed quiet time, though. As we were parked near the main bathhouse, we did have quite a few people walk through our site. The only real problem we had was weak power. The weather was hot (around 100 degrees) and everyone was running air conditioners. Our power dropped from 117-118 volts to 109-110 volts pulling 33-35 amps, almost enough to activate our Progressive EMS for low voltage. With all the Hydro power along the Columbia, this is really inexcusable. We camped at Boardman Marina Park in a Motorhome.

Well, let's just say if you have a class A this might not be the place 4 you. Low limbs prohibited us from the first two spots. Final settled in #36. Staff has NO IDEA what will fit where in the park. If you are in a class C, or small TT, you're OK. Use caution if you have a larger 5er. I would not come back here. Stayed at Boardman for 4 nights and loved this park. We stayed in site 54 which was away from the water but we had a peak of the water. Loved the shade trees in the 80+ weather. Pretty green grass everywhere. The sites were not close together unless you were near the water but there still was more room between sites than other RV parks. There are train tracks nearby but the trains didn't blow their horns and the sounds of the trains going by were barely noticeable. The park is next door to the marina which has a boat launch, playground, picnic areas and swimming area. There is a walking trail around the RV park which goes for about 3 miles. My only complaint is that there isn't an easy way to get on the trail unless you walk out of the RV park or cut through the large open areas between sites. There isn't a lot to do in the area except the Sage Center was really nice to visit especially for kids. There is a splash park in Boardman but we didn't have any luck in figuring out when it actually was running. Great place to get away from it all and we will be back. We camped at Boardman Marina Park in a Motorhome.

This is a beautiful park right on the Columbia River. We were in site 48 which is one of the circular pull throughs along the road so didn't have great views of the marina or river. There was a high wooden fence between us and the road. Other sites were very spacious. Lots of trains going past close by. Our friends had site 7 and that had great views. We camped at Boardman Marina Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The Sage Center in Boardman is a great place to learn about agriculture and industry in the area. The Pendleton Underground Tour is awesome. We drove an hour west on the Washington side of the river to see some of the gorge and Sam Hill's Stonehenge near Maryhill. While there, we noticed Waving Trees Winery just down the hill. What a find! All their reds were delicious, and we had so much fun doing the tasting. Also went to the Discovery Center at the Dalles.

This "could" be a hidden treasure located along the Columbia River with easy access on and off I-84. We only stayed one night and did not want to unhook. Pull through along the south side seemed to have more slope, are a little short for our 38' and utilities, especially sewer, are not conveniently located. They are shaped in an arc and share the entrance/exit so each site patron needs to be considerate about where they park. In the first spot (48) we would be blocking a car if we parked where we could access the sewer. The 2nd spot (50), in order to get level we had to use 3 lengths of sewer hose, which of course, could not be supported the entire way. The sewer inlet was at an angle so one us of had to hold it in while dumping to prevent it from popping out. Had a small tree branch that interfered with the satellite. The pull through's on the north (river) side looked to be flatter. Next time we will get a back-in which all seemed to have tons of room. Wifi was poor. Verizon adequate. Train comes by often, is loud, but no horn. We camped at Boardman Marina Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Opt for one of the pull throughs on the north (river) side if available or get a back-in and unhook. To us unhooking would have been easier and better all around than using the south side pull through's.

This is a comfortable, scenic park on the Columbia River. It's convenient to I-84. There are large expanses of green grass and plenty of trees. Sites are visually close, but they are physically well spaced and arranged. There are wooden privacy fences in strategic places. There is a trail where you can walk along the river. The park area on the other side of the marina has scenic viewpoints. Backed into site #2 you'll have a view of grass, trees, and the river on the patio side. Trains go by frequently but only occasionally use their horns. We didn't mind the trains at all. We didn't use the showers. There are two shower stalls with a shared dressing area. If this park even added a small food/bar kiosk with outdoor seating/views of the river, they could add resort to their name. In addition to the nightly rate, they charged us a one time $5 reservation fee for calling them to make a reservation. We'll use this park again. We camped at Boardman Marina Park in a Motorhome.
