The lady at check in was very rude and said to make sure your tow vehicles was parked on the black top. Got to the campsite and just had enough room for the trailer, but not my vehicle. Had to jocky around to get it to fit cross-ways on the front of the pad. Spoke with other people in the campground same complaint. My advise is, don't list it to fit 26' trailers. Also campsites are close together. We camped at Harris Beach State Park in a Travel Trailer.

This park is in a beautiful setting on the ocean but only a handful of sites have a view. The loops are small with tight turns into most of the sites and the loops are awkward to navigate since they are small and one way. I watched a couple of people struggle with trying to back trailers into a few sites. We camped at Harris Beach State Park in a Motorhome.

This is a beautiful state campground on a bluff overlooking the ocean just outside Brookings, Oregon. The campground itself is well maintained, clean and has a friendly staff that takes pride in keeping it that way. You can see the ocean from a few of the sites, but most will need to take a short walk to enjoy the wonderful views. You can also walk down down the bluff road, or drive down if you prefer, to an area with clean restrooms and free parking just above the gorgeous beach. Dogs permitted on leash. We camped at Harris Beach State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Favorite getaway. Used to make reservations just to get a premium spot, but nowadays need to make reservations- booked solid most every night. The sites are varied as to length, grassy/tent area, privacy. We hike a great deal... there's a trail to the main beach, or the road, a 2nd beach trail that seems less populated, 'Sunset Trail' along the cliff, Harris Butte, the old highway road is great for bicycles, or a trail to town (about a half hour walk). The park is usually very quiet, the volunteers are helpful and put in a lot of hours. The roads can be narrow but well marked. Near the back you can hear Hiway 101 and a lumber mill, up front you hear the ocean. Spaces have level paved driveway, cable no longer available. We camped at Harris Beach State Park in a Motorhome.

We've stayed here several times, mostly in the A loop. It is a beautiful park in a very picturesque location. This time we reserved in B loop and had a site long enough for our rig (32 ft fifth wheel), but due to the narrow road, the site angle, and the direction we had to take, we were unable to get into the space (B41). The staff was very helpful and we managed to get another site, but it was quite a stressful experience. Be very wary of the sites on the narrow one way B loop road; the angled ones will work but a few are not angled and may be impossible to get a larger rig into especially if someone is occupying the site across from you. We camped at Harris Beach State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

One of new favorite parks. Spacious, semi private (hedges between). View of the ocean. Had we know we would have booked one on the over side of the road so the ocean would have been out our back window. Easy to back in for even long trailers. Very quite at night very little road noise from 101. 30 amp worked well, great phone service, and excellent Sat. view. Very little shade as the trees were behind us, but not a real concern in April in Oregon. We camped at Harris Beach State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This state park is a combination of fairly tight small sites, and some very open large sites. The site we had was very large and our 41 foot motor home and tow fit just fine. The site was wide with plenty of outside space. The view of the Pacific, rocks and beach from the motor home was very nice. Just a note about the Oregon state parks, they have a 4 pm check in time that is not enforced at all. We saw people coming in as early as 11 am. There is no ranger at the gate to check you in, so, you need to find your site, fill out the forms, and hope the roads are not blocked, as they were on our visit with half of the park closed. We were lucky and chose the correct way to go, even though the signs leave a lot to be desired. We like this park, but it definitely could use some upgrades, especially the sign-age in the campground to help new visitor find the best route into their site. We camped at Harris Beach State Park in a Motorhome.

Harris Beach State Park is gorgeous. The park is spotless. The sites are level and paved, all hookups work well. The hosts and volunteers are friendly. This park has trees, views, walking in trails or the beach. We would definitely return. We camped at Harris Beach State Park in a Travel Trailer.

The park is very clean and beautiful. It has lovely walking trails all around and hidden picnic spots everywhere to have a lovely romantic meal. It is right across the street from the Ocean. The trails lead right to it and there is no busy traffic to cross. On the slightly negative side, the spots are a little close for my comfort, however, nothing like I have seen. Very nice park with good beach access. Looked like some upgrades had been done to paths and asphalt parking pads at each site. Hedges had been pruned severely so less privacy than before pruning but not a big issue. Would avoid spaces around playground unless you have children. This was another great state park to stay in. We weren't fortunate enough to land one of the first dozen or so sites with ocean views, but we still enjoyed our stay here. Backing into our site was a little tricky as the road is rather narrow and the tow vehicle across the way was parked in such a manner that made it difficult. With a little work we were able to get settled. Shrubs between each site seem to provide privacy despite everyone actually being quite close. We were in loop D, which is closer to the road, but didn't seem to notice any significant road noise. As others have stated, beach access is down a steep incline but seemed to have ample parking each time we went down. The beach is great! There were some tide pools a little ways off on the right-hand side that we spent a lot of time exploring one day. There is a really cool nature trail that winds through the campground. Great way to go 'exploring' yet never really leave the campground. We camped at Harris Beach State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Nice park in beautiful setting. Close to town. Some sites can be tight to get bigger rig into. Noise from lumber plant across highway disturbs the serenity. Would stay here again. We camped at Harris Beach State Park in a Motorhome.

This is a really nice state park by the beach. It is on a hill and the walk to the beach is a bit long and uphill on the return, but you can easily drive to the day use area. The campground was very clean and exceptionally well kept. The restroom was bright and clean as was the shower room. The showers are all tile with a small stool and several hooks in the separate stalls with a long bench in the open area. There was plenty of hot water and good pressure although the shower heads are rather low. At 5' 6" I could barely get my head under without stooping. That's being picky, though. All in all the facilities are very good. The sites are a combo of FHU and W & E. Most are big enough for normal sized rigs, although big rigs with tow vehicles might their choice limited. There are many garbage cans very conveniently places as well which I really appreciate. There is also a dump station that is easily accessible. Most of the sites have decent separation and many have enough vegetation in between to give quite a bit of privacy. There is a line of sites right in front that actually have a great view of the ocean. I would assume you have to reserve well in advance to snag one of those primo spots! There is no wi-fi, but we got adequate coverage on Verizon to use data. No T-Mobile though. The D loop is quite close to Rte 101 though and seemed to get a lot of road noise. I would avoid that one if possible. Otherwise, it's just a really nice place to stay and I am sure we will be back. We camped at Harris Beach State Park in a Truck Camper.

Very nice park. Lots of trees, but we were able to get satellite coverage. All utilities worked well. Private with shrub between sites. So nice to have FHU at a State Park. We were in a site that was more of a 90 degree angle to park in and had to work at it, but most sites are angled. Would definitely stay here again. Could not get a signal for Verizon or AT&T.
