We booked a 5 night stay at the state park down the road. We didn't check reviews and found no cell (so no internet) or satellite view due to trees. We stayed 2 nights and moved to Bay Pointe for the remaining 3. One of the nicest parks we've stayed at in our journeys. We booked a back in bay view at the end of the row. No one within 5 spaces of us. Great Sat. views though no shade trees. Some of the best wifi ever, and not extra charge, we could stream. The office and other buildings are finished but they are working on landscaping. Would have put in more mature trees it will be years before what they put in will be trees. Roads easy to navigate and lots of room to turn for back in's. Great bay views, with access to clam if you want and they have buckets and shovels available. Most modern facility in the area, and of any we've stayed at in the 30 odd states we've traveled in. For a few dollars more then the state park well worth the money. One of our favorite stays. We camped at Bay Point Landing in a Fifth Wheel.

I didn't stay here. I was driving by and saw it and drove around and looked around. I didn't see it when I was searching for campgrounds in this area so that made me wonder what it was. Most of the campgrounds in this area are smaller and older which has it place. This is the most modern campground I've ever been to. The campground is not finished yet, but they are open and a few people are staying here. The buildings are modern and the layout is updated over the older campgrounds that sprang up in the 50s and 60s. This place was thought out differently and I find it a refreshing change from the usual. The sites are very large and wide and have a stone fire pit, paver patio, and picnic table. I think they'll have two sections - long term with some rental cabins and 8 rental airstreams and the more transient section. The park is on the water and there was a nice beach where I looked. The landscaping is modern and natural and lots of space. The roads and sites are gravel and nicely done, but paved would probably be better at the prices they're asking. I think this will be one of the premier parks in the country (eventually) if they follow up the excellent planning and design with service. If I was coming back to the Coos Bay area, I'd definitely stay here. We camped at Bay Point Landing in a Motorhome.

NOT ready for prime time! Most we have ever paid for a site. Right on the water so I expected to pay for that. But restrooms are the ONLY amenity/facility they have ready. There is no vegetation (just some sand mixed with sawdust), no store, no restaurant, no pool (but under construction), temporary office on wheels, only a few fire pits they had to move around. Although view was good, fog obscured most of the time. They would not even consider any discounts. Don't stay here for several more years. We camped at Bay Point Landing in a Motorhome.

We stayed at Bay Point Landing for 3 days to get out of the smoke from all the fires in So. Oregon. We thought the space fee was a little spendy, but the website made it sound so glorious that we thought we'd give it a try, and besides, it was Fish Fest weekend and nothing else was available. This is a new RV park and they are still building the next phase. There is a little playground for the kids, which was nice. Each site is spacious and far enough away from your neighbor, which was great, and the bathrooms are also very nice, but we were disappointed to find that the areas between each site was full of weeds. We even had to cut down weeds in the so called patio area of our site just to walk through it. It looked like they had seeded the areas with grass seed but never watered them so all the grass had died. We felt that they could have at least discounted the space rent while it is still under construction and until they get the grassy areas green again. There is no cable or wifi available. Other reviewers talked about fire pits, but we didn't see any, (perhaps it was due to fire season). There is only gravel roads but no speed limit signs, so people tend to travel a little fast and stir up dirt and dust, which traveled right into our space, which was on the back row. They are right across the highway from a fire and ambulance station, so you hear sirens all day long and quite often at night. They do allow dogs, but there is no dog run and you have to keep your pet on a 6 foot leash at all times, except on the beach. Speaking of the beach; this bay is more for crabbing and clamming, which is what most people were doing on the beach, and quite a few dead crabs lying around. Don't expect to fall asleep hearing the waves crash because there aren't any. If you want that you will have to travel down several miles. Hopefully, when they are done with all the construction, and the pool is in, it will be a really nice RV park. We camped at Bay Point Landing in a Travel Trailer.

Folks, save your money. This place is still under construction. The pool has not been built yet, the roads and parking pads are gravel, grass has not grown in and there is no landscaping. Even the office is a portable construction shack. Additionally, there are poisonous flowers/weeds around which is not something I would expect in a developed area, especially with a three year old child on board. This might be a nice place in two or three years but is certainly not worth what is charged at present. We camped at Bay Point Landing in a Motorhome.

Very new park. This is going to be an excellent park when complete. Very spacious sites. I am hoping they put more gravel into the actual pad area. Paving the pads and roads would be the best scenario for the prices they are demanding. We took the center sites at $45, but the other sites range from $45 to $65. They are seeding areas, but it looks like they are seeding with native? vegetation. The areas between the sites are currently "sand dune" vegetation. There are a few tiny trees planted so far. On this date the cable wires are pulled and were at our site, but not hooked up. We could get six channels with our antennae. There was also no Wifi offered and no towers that we could see. I put "satisfactory" value because as of this date the only amenities were the bathrooms and laundry facility. As of this date, there is no cable TV and no Wifi. BUT this is going to be an awesome park, and still, today, a nice place to stay while visiting the area. We camped at Bay Point Landing in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Just a short drive away are several Oregon State parks. Make sure to visit Cape Arago. Just a right turn out of the park onto Cape Arago road and make all the stops in the parks. Beautiful!!!! There were rangers with telescopes at one stop letting people look through them to see the seals.
