This is a National Park campground run by Xanterra. No hook-ups except there are some sites in F loop with 30 amp on a first come first serve basis. It's $2.50 extra/nite for electric. Reservations are not site specific but by size of RV, so driving around to find an appropriate site is a must. We found our pull-through site was long but had a very tight curve so we ended up backing into it & parking our truck behind. We noticed several other trailers/5th wheels had to do the same thing. There is very fine volcanic dust everywhere that gets on everything. Extremely quiet & peaceful. Lots of room between sites. - storms

Mazama Village CG is located just inside Crater Lake's south entrance. It is set in a tall pine forest. Heavy winter snows typically keep the CG closed from early October through mid-June. Crater Lake's gorgeous Rim Drive is about a 7-mile drive from the CG. The CG is designed to meet the needs of smaller RVs, trailers, and tent campers. Larger RVs will not easily fit into many CG sites. CG roads are blacktop, parking pads are either paved or gravel. Campsites are mostly spacious and offer a sense of privacy. Very few sites have electrical service (30-amp), and those sites are not reservable and usually snapped up before 10AM. No sites have water service. Fresh water spigots are located throughout each CG loop. Campground has dump station. CG is well-designed, but often has a long wait line each morning. Restrooms are older, do not have showers but are well maintained. Mazama Village amenities include a small grocery (with expensive and very limited supplies), pay-for-use public showers, large full-service restaurant, well-stocked gift shop, and non-diesel gas station. Summary: Absolutely delightful CG to spend a few days - or more - while exploring a truly beautiful national park. - Kona Boy

This is a GREAT national park campground. We stayed in the D Loop and loved every minute of it. We were there in the latter half of August, and the campground was probably 80% full. It was quiet. Our site had very good privacy from the neighbors, but I noticed that some of the other sites weren't quite as "private". There was a Ranger talk at the amphitheater every night, which we loved attending. The dump station was easily accessible and clean. - jensentn

We stayed seven nights in a 40 foot fifth wheel. The park and check in is across from the bar/restaurant. Don't confuse this park with the National Forest Park. This is a great park that is very convenient to the north entrance of Crater Lake NP. The interior roads are paved and most of the sites are gravel. Some sites have a patio area. Our site was not level side-to-side and the way they mapped out sites is a bit haphazard. For instance the site next to us backed in at an angle toward our site. Folks this is a very dry environment and conditions are dusty so just be prepared. With all the fires and being late in the summer season we were understandably under a burn ban. - Moe and Flo are on the go
Sep 2018 - $43.00
We planned to visit Crater Lake National Park and this park was perfect for our needs. It is a 5 min drive to the north entrance and about 20 min to the overlook. Access is excellent. We came from Roseburg via 138 and my RV GPS directed me to turn on Diamond Lake Loop. You can pass that turn and take hwy 230 to the Loop road and avoid the back road. Check in was easy and I was directed to our site by the assistant. The site was level and long enough for the RV and car but my slides brushed the branches. Our site was tight with our neighbors, others looked more spacious. Hook ups were good, my water was about 26 feet away, good to have a 50 foot hose. The site had a small concrete patio which was great at the door but lacked a fire ring. I did note other sites had fire rings. There was a small picnic table too. The office has $1 DVD rentals, logo shirts and a few sale items for laundry. No Wifi, no AT&T signal and no OTA TV. As noted in other reviews, the day use area down the street had four bar 4G signal. - DJR CMR
Sep 2018 - $39.00
We stayed here on our 38 day Northwest Caravan. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The check in process was simple and they guided us to our sites. We had a back in and a separate place to park our vehicle. Our group was close together and we sat outside each night and enjoyed the mild weather! Phone coverage was spotty, but OK. - NYParsels

Aug 2018 - $11.00
The price reflects a 50% discount. We also paid a one time $10 reservation fee. This is an incredibly long and narrow national forest campground. It took us an hour to do a walk from one end to the other. It's on the shore in a thick conifer forest. Most sites are short and narrow. There are some that will fit a class A. The loop roads are narrow, curvy, and tree-lined. June into September some loops are only available by reservation. The forest service web site has a pdf campground map showing which sites require reservations. Check rec.gov to see what the specific reserve dates are and for details on the levelness of each site. It will list how long the pad is and how many feet are considered level. Then it will tell you the amount of incline percentage for the slanted portion. The slant will be at the front of the site. Some sites are close to each other. Many sites are generously spaced and private. There are some wonderful waterfront sites. These are sites we especially liked C8, G25, G37, and M15. G25 had sun in the morning and shade in the afternoon. It is on the waterfront, partially blocked by trees. We stayed during the week just before Labor Day weekend. There were many open sites. We did not have a problem with mosquitoes. - Neil and JoAnn

USFS camp. Check Rec.gov for description of site to make sure you will fit. Some sites are a challenge and will require leveling. Roads are narrow with nasty speedbumps. Sites ae nice and spacious and in most cases screened by vegetation. Restrooms needed more detailed attention. - gumper
Jul 2017 - $30.00

This is a very large campground with asphalt access roads and sites, some of them are "double" which means you pay more, but most of them are deep enough to back up anything you are driving. Some pull through sites near the entrance. There are about 10 loops, I would avoid J loop if you are driving a motor home or pulling a trailer as the sites are more suited for tents. We basically had this campground to ourselves, it is not on the water but there is a ramp close by. This campground is about 4 miles south of Diamond Lake Campground ( both USFS) and is way better for RVs. There is a paved bike/hiking path that goes to the Resort area. - 10-10

Pros: campground is on the lake, where you can rent a boat, fish and swim. Lots of hiking trails. Close to numerous waterfalls CONS: Sites are NOT LEVEL, and the park is one large dust bowl. Just walking throws up dust, which covers your RV and vehicle. I travel in a 42' class A which I don't recommend that large an RV stay here. - 8345
Jun 2015 - $30.00
My site was not level and all sites are all dirt and dust. Sites are quite close together. The main "resort" is across the road. Nice little restaurant with somewhat overpriced food and a nice view of the lovely lake.
Showers cost $0.50/minute, with a minimum of 4 minutes. They are constructed in such a way that you have no privacy when you get undressed and there are no hooks or benches in the shower stall. Weird.
My frozen, pre-formed hamburger and fries at the resort restaurant cost $11.00.
As far as I could tell, there was no one on site to monitor noise and the dogs (lots of very large dogs in the campground) that were roaming off leash. - mitch5252
