Building out the expanded site. Great setting and will serve travelers well. Quiet with acceptable Verizon signal. (didn't try to connect to their wifi). In time this park will be very popular as nature takes over. We camped at Big Pines RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Get your groceries before arriving. The nearest full-service market is 20 mile drive. RV clean up is discouraged so plan to clean the bugs and grime somewhere else or pay extra for RV or tow vehicle bath. Overall this park is going to be very popular as it completes build and matures.

Large sites, accommodated our 40 ft. 5th wheel and truck with ease. Park well maintained. Water pressure awesome. Owners very friendly. Right off of Hwy 97 but road noise not an issue. About 15 miles to a few small grocery stores and small restaurants. We camped at Big Pines RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very pretty park among tall pines. Just off Highway 97, but I could barely hear the traffic noise. Large sites with nice picnic areas. Large clean laundry room with all working machines. Wifi - you are given a credit for a certain amount of use - if you don't stream anything, you will be fine, and the wifi works really well. Lots of cable channels. Verizon signal strong. Not near anything, and not much in the way of extra amenities, but great place to just relax and hike or bike. We camped at Big Pines RV Park in a Motorhome.

This was easy to access from the highway, and well marked. Although there were plenty of trees, they were trimmed back nicely and did not scratch the coach. A good spot for a big rig. We would stay here again. We camped at Big Pines RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice owner showed us to our spot. Big tall ponderosa pines spread through property. Mlies of forest road to ride bikes, motorcyeles or walk on in park. Has cable tv with some good stations. Some didn’t work all the time which was a direct tv issue. We used our own Verizon Jetpack and could stream tv work and so on. They have limited daily use WiFi because they don’t offer unlimited in the area. Very clean park. No road noise even thought it’s not far from 96. La Pine has a couple of grocery stores and a dollar store too. We camped at Big Pines RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is lovely, the sites are natural but clearly marked and defined. They are adding a number of new sites in the park, while we were there they were hard at work on the addition. The owner is my savor as he drove into the forest looking for us after we became lost and exhausted. I felt as he enjoyed meeting and greeting each one of his guest. This is a very small town, economy has hit hard. Crater Lake is a bit of a ride but so beautiful. We camped at Big Pines RV Park in a Motorhome.

Gravel roads winding through a number of tall pines. Pull thru sites plenty large enough for 35 ft. 5th wheel and long bed truck. Our site had a nice grass / shaded area to relax in. Owner was very accommodating and friendly. Bonus was many miles of bike trails that started at the campground. Be careful or you may get lost. We camped at Big Pines RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice park off OR-97. Very easy access. We had a reservation, so check-in took less than 3 minutes. We were led to perfectly level gravel site with a fire ring and picnic table. Hookups were very convenient. Bathrooms were very clean. They also had a dog area with green grass...even in September. The only black mark is a biggy for me-road noise. I forgot how much truck traffic there is on 97, and it really does not let up much at night. And for light sleepers like me, it can be a problem. We camped at Big Pines RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground is currently adding on. Available sites are scattered in no particular fashion. Some older, permanent structures are in the mix as well. Good location for going north to Bend or south to Crater Lake. Crescent is very small so arrive stocked! We camped at Big Pines RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

We only spent one night, but a nice find in the pines. Old style feel with nice sized spaces. You don't feel like you're in a parking lot. Sites are not lined up like most parks. Staff guides you to your site. There were some long term residents. Driveways and roads are dirt with some grass struggling in the shade. They are expanding. That area is being planned to look like most parks. Staff is very nice. We didn't use the WiFi. Verizon Cellular was adequate. We had no satellite reception, but the park provided cable. 50 amp sites are currently limited. We would overnight here again, but we wouldn't stay longer. We camped at Big Pines RV Park in a Motorhome.
