Not real easy to find but a great park. Most spaces are pretty large and have great privacy because of the foliage. Hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. Very clean facilities and a great park or common area with lots of grass and some nice views. Spaces are paved, have a fire ring and table. Our space was tight for our rig but that was our fault as we booked online. Most spaces looked ample. We would definitely go back. We camped at Harbor Vista Park in a Motorhome.

This is a nice county park near the Pacific ocean. Sites vary in size, so make sure you check that before reserving. Some sites are full service. Ours had only water and electricity. There is a problem with electricity in this park. We were in site 28 and kept getting a low voltage reading in both the morning and evening. It was rather chilly when we were here and we were using our space heater. We noticed that the voltage went up during the day and thought that might be because campers were turning their heaters off as the day warmed up. AT&T cell phone and Verizon MiFi worked well in our campsite. AT&T cell did not work at the park entrance, however. Dish satellite did not work because of the trees, but would probably work in some of the other sites. We did get 15 OTA channels here. We camped at Harbor Vista Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Been coming to this campground for years. Love it!!! Love the walk down to the bay. Seals down there. Easy walk to the ocean. Pack a lunch and take about a 30 min walk along the water and your at the beach. Great spots even for tent camping. Everything you need. Showers, bathrooms, water, power. Can't ask for more. Pretty quiet. Can't wait to be there again in July. Counting down the days!! Can't wait to see the new construction! We camped at Harbor Vista Park in a Tent.

The rangers were very nice and helpful when we arrived and let us check in early. This campground was heavily forested with skinny roads and a lot of dragging brush ("lush green, surroundings.") We were just too big, I guess. We had to wiggle into our site. The tent campers across the way moved their vehicles for us. We were just able to angle in our towed in front We found the beach access after we parked and took a nice walk and climbed on the rocks. In the evening the power started to fluctuate then completely cut out. We disconnected and went dark rather than deal with it through the rangers. We were leaving early in the morning. Luckily, the site across had vacated and we were able to wiggle out and be on our way. This campground is part of the Lane County Parks which are usually well maintained. We were just unlucky with this site. We camped at Harbor Vista Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The ranger said we were in the "old section." If you can, get a "newer" spot it may be a little easier to park and you might get reliable power.

A pretty park literally carved out of the natural vegetation creating thick hedges between sites. Interior roads are narrow and tight for bigger rigs, I'd say we were approaching the max at 38'. Had difficulty manuevering into site without scraping brush. We camped at Harbor Vista Park in a Motorhome.

Great place!! Not on the beach, but nice views of the jetty and entrance from ocean. We were there with son & daughter-in-law for 6 nights during Thanksgiving week. Very quiet, not full by any measure. Good electric and water. Fairly easy in and out.

Our site (8) was very narrow, had to set trailer carefully to open slide and still have room on the door side. Nice treed "patio" and fire ring behind trailer. Only negative for us was the site narrowness. They need to cut back some of the site foliage to provide more clearances for newer trailers. Our sons trailer has slides on both sides, but his site (7) was more cut back and had much better clearances.

Best sites (my opinion) are 5, 6, 7, 9, & 10. These are on the bluff above the jetty, well protected, and near the showers and restrooms. Some have previously stated showers were pay, they are not. Just push in the coin holder and voila, water. Looks like they disabled the pay function.

Lane County is slowly upgrading the campground. They are going to have 6 full hookup sites soon, and will be making the whole (or almost!) place full hookups. Some of the sites in the east loop are "backwards." Backed in: your door will be away from your "patio" area with the water and electric being on the driver's side as usual toward the firepit. Only about 3 or 4 like that. We camped at Harbor Vista Park in a Travel Trailer.

Major complaint was power surges. Were told by host that we were in 'old part' of CG. Site pad was sloped; puddles when raining. Wi-Fi, Cable not yet installed. No check in process go directly to site. Picnic table too heavy to move. Reception for sat tv varied from site to site, heavily wooded in some areas. Close to jetty to watch fishing boats. From female perspective, bathroom unsatisfactory -- entry door did not close, just shower curtains -- would not use again (primarily for rinsing off after beach time). Might return again if in area and specific sites available. We camped at Harbor Vista Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Go to Mo's on the wharf for great clam chowder and blackened salmon; may be a line but wait should be short. Mini golf at Sunland Adventures was a blast! Check out the interesting Darlingtonia plant just north of town. Lunch buffet at Three Rivers casino was yummy. 37th St. Laundromat in Florence was very clean and one of best on 9-wk OR trip.

Rate listed above is for a premium site, with an extra car. This is another amazing Lane County Park. We were here before Rhody days, and had the park to ourselves. We were in the premium spot, and had an amazing view of the jetty area. No park wifi, but VZ phone, VZ mifi,
AT&T phone all worked well. We had a roof top sat friendly site. There is no sewer here, but there is a dump station on the way out. We will definitely return. We camped at Harbor Vista Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very nice county park located above the north jetty. Sites are paved, back-in, and sheltered from the winds by the long hedge rows of rhododendrons and trees. Reservations are advised. Site 9 is about 70' long; the longest one in the park according to the on-site caretaker. If you have slides, position your rig in the center of the site so you don't bump up against the plants. New sites and WiFi are coming in 2016. Our Verizon MiFi worked moderately well. We camped at Harbor Vista Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If you are a geocacher, two caches in the park and many on the way to the beach. Treat yourself to dinner at the Waterfront Depot; excellent food and great location on the river. Reservations required.

Park has paved roads and sites. Sites vary in length, and fit a 37 foot motorhome with toad. Trees between sites for privacy. Only one site has a view of the ocean. Close to beach. Water and cell good. Power low in the morning. No sewer, but dump station. We would stay here again. We camped at Harbor Vista Park in a Motorhome.

We expected no pool, no cable, no sewer hookup. Park is a 10 for us based on site space, privacy, asphalt roads and pad, cleanliness, and information on reservation site being accurate. Access to tidal pool area, views of South Jetty, great place to walk the dog. Quiet, reservations provide for no refunds so be prepared. The best we've seen between Depoe Bay and Coos Bay now that Pacific Shores is in decline. We camped at Harbor Vista Park in a Motorhome.

Park was super clean and very pretty. Host was very helpful but didn't seem to know what sites were available for more than one day at a time, but that probably has a lot to do with their reservation line. Was able to pick up several TV channels with just our antenna. Not sure if you could walk to any sort of beach because the trail was so steep and a long ways down that I didn't even attempt it. There wasn't any place that I could let my dog run. We would stay here again. We camped at Harbor Vista Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a great campground. Most of the sites are nicely seperated by bushes and trees to keep privacy in place. Our kids love exploring the hidden passageways behind the sites. Site 13 has a great view of the jetty and ocean. The park was not crowded while we were there in late April. The beach is about a mile walk or a quick drive. The park host was very friendly and welcoming. We highly recommend this park when staying in Florence. Not really close to town but close enough if you have a car. We camped at Harbor Vista Park in a Travel Trailer.

This park is a hidden gem. Very quiet, private spots overlooking the jetty in Florence. Camped here in motorhome with brother's family in trailer. Had two sites together which was tremendous and very private. Pauline the camp host was hospitable and the grounds are very well kept. No sewer at site or cable, but wouldn't expect this in a county park. Sites are uneven but manageable, utilities conveniently located. Not really near anything so tow vehicle is pretty much mandatory. There is a dump station as you leave campground. Will be back for sure. They do charge $1.25 for showers. We camped at Harbor Vista Park in a Motorhome.
