The only reason I wouldn't give it a 10 is the roads into the park are pot hole ridden so you really can only go 5 mph like the sign says. We were in spot 419, back loop which gave us a beautiful view out our windows of the bay. It was backed up to a big grass area also. The spot was very close to the one in 421 but fortunately no one was parked there The other side was spaced further apart. It's clean, nice office staff. RVillage discount is for Sunday-Thursday for $20. Good Sam gives you 10% off. Saw eagles out flying here also. Marina is close by. Would definitely come back here. Ask for the last row that backs up to the grass...if you can get site 419 or about that then you will have a great view of mountains and bay which is beautiful. Close to marina. We camped at Old Mill RV Park & Event Center in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

We have camped here many times in the upper grass field, and have seen great improvement over the years, and have had a lot of fun here. The loop sites are more well defined (although still close together), there are gravel pads, and there is more oversight on the fewer folks that live here full time. However, along with improvements comes a lot of rules... This camp ground seems to make a rule against every dumb thing that any camper has ever done so that future guests are quite restricted. Example - you can't keep your boat in your camp site, not even on the gravel, because somebody parked on the grass at one time. We don't like having the boat out of sight so had to move. Another example - somebody did something dumb with a fire pit at one time, so now you can't have a fire pit in the loops. And the most frustrating rule of all is their pet policy which insists that every dog be on a leash at all times, even in the open grassy area - this is new. Their pet policy also states that certain breeds are "NOT ALLOWED" - breeds like Mastiff, Husky, Malamute, Boxer, St. Bernard, and of course the usual restricted breeds because they look scary: Doberman, Rottweiler, German Shepherd and Pit bull... We camped here last weekend and were throwing a ball for a couple of labs (in the field, well away from other campers) and the manager came up and very condescendingly scolded us and then asked if we had a German Shepherd with us because apparently someone saw a dog that looked like one. Would I have had to ask any friends with a contraband breed to leave? Then, I received an e-mail yesterday letting me know that we have been warned and if we break the rules again, we will not be allowed to come back... Even if we did break the rules by having labs off leash, it felt a little extreme. We did have a great time and I'm happy this place is improving. But if you have pets, you might want to go someplace that's more accepting of them. We camped at Old Mill RV Park & Event Center in a Motorhome.

Managed to snag a back in spot in the RV park proper for Friday night good 50amp pedestal, We knew ahead of time that the space had a reservation for Sat & Sunday, so went "up the hill" to the dry camp section for Saturday.. What a view!!!! Well worth the $25 IMHO (The "dry camp hill" is closed during late fall until late spring due to wet & soft turf conditions) We WILL return again! We camped at Old Mill RV Park & Event Center in a Motorhome.

Office girl recommended a restaurant near by.. Friday night special was prime rib & my wife had Prawn fettuccine Alfredo, both were very good & the portions were large enough that we took what we couldn't eat back to the Motor Home for a "left overs" lunch & dinner the following day.

Large Park, lots of seasonal and overnighters. We stayed in large pull thru (70+ feet) they call it (Partial Area). Good Short term sites. Dog Friendly. WI-FI iffy. Utilities worked fine. Even close to Hwy 101 it was quiet. Daily Coast (Sight Seeing) Train within walking distance. Marina and Plenty of Fish Markets and Restaurant close by. Dump Station on site. As a Full timer we like service, office staff very helpful. Will stay again. We camped at Old Mill RV Park & Event Center in a Fifth Wheel.

We have stayed there three times. The first time was very pleasant. We were in the back of the park by the large field. This last time they stuck us in between some permanent residents. The sites were very close together and dirty. IF we go back we will only dry camp in the large field or get a partial hookup; where there are no permanent residents. The people who live there full time act as though we are invading their territory. Not pleasant! Stay away from the 100, 200 & 300 circles! And there are very few fire pits. The three times we stayed we didn't have one. We camped at Old Mill RV Park & Event Center in a Travel Trailer.

We chose this place because it is very close to clamming, crabbing and the little city of Garibaldi. If you stay here just stay away from the 100-300 loops.

We were here for three days with a large group. This is a very old, worn down, poorly maintained park. The managers are understanding, but the owners apparently could care less. Over half of the park are permanents in various stages of disarray. The weekenders keep their sites relatively clean, but the remainder are full of junk with many covered by torn tarp. We lost electrical power twice during our stay and the WiFi is poor. There are potholes in the interior roads and mud at the sites. If you need a place to stop for the night, maybe, but don't bother to hookup. We camped at Old Mill RV Park & Event Center in a Motorhome.

The museum in Garibaldi is a gem, don't miss it. There is also a Bakery across 101, which has the most delicious pastries.

We didn't stay here, we drove through and stopped in at the office for a few minutes. We didn't see anything which would improve the 2012 reviews. There are ocean views (actually views of a bay), but very few of the sites have them. The best ocean views are from a nice grassy dry camping area. There seems to be lots of long term residents in the full hookup sites. Not really trashy, but not very neat either. We camped at Old Mill RV Park & Event Center in a Motorhome.

This campground is old and tired. Rate is based on group caravan. My site was supposed to have 50 amp but the plug was removed. Wi-Fi was OK for me. The coach next to me went to dump and the camp sewer line was plugged. Not pretty. We camped at Old Mill RV Park & Event Center in a Motorhome.

Price reflects a group caravan and the actual price was included. This is a busy, dusty, and very crowded campground with no apparent organization to the camp sites. They seemed to just cram sites wherever they could. Sites were also poorly marked. Sites were 30 amp and mostly back in. Interior roads dirt/gravel and very tight. Not a good campground for big rigs. Poor Wi-Fi connection. We camped at Old Mill RV Park & Event Center in a Motorhome.

We had high hopes because the surrounding country is very scenic. The park is large and has lots of various site types. The hookups were old but worked OK. Our site area for travel trailer was not very level-lots of dips and mounds. Some other loops had more level sights. The bathrooms/showers were dirty and in need of repair. The office was to open at 10 AM but we waited until 10:40, nobody showed so we left inserting a note in the door for follow up contact. No response. We would not stay here again unless we were desperate. We camped at Old Mill RV Park & Event Center in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Old park, pretty run-down. Notices out that it is under new ownership, and is supposedly being renovated, but there's a lot remaining to be done. A lot of the electric poles were leaning or damaged and the water tasted rusty. Park is centrally located, with restaurants, shopping, wharf "trolling", etc. available. Grassy sites, pretty muddy during our visit. A considerable portion of the park was closed off, perhaps due to ground water saturation. Wide spaces, plenty of privacy, some pull-throughs. A pretty good view, but wharf activity was noisy with heavy equipment, chainsaws, diesel engines and so forth. We camped at Old Mill RV Park & Event Center in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

We have stayed here many times over the past. The place used to have a very nice large pool. They filled it in - so that's gone. Playground is really just a swing set and a see-saw (nothing more). Gravel sites. Current price is OK - but not worth paying any more! Drinking water appeared to have rust or something in it last time we used it. Recommend a screen. They tend to "mess" up reservations and double book on spots. But, usually plenty of room if you gotta move to something else. Don't stay toward the back of the park - hit the middle - everyone else goes for the back of the park! Place also no longer has the marina - they closed it - probably because the small area of the bay is too shallow and needs dredged. New owners took over it and I guess trying to fix things - but seem more of just cutting costs then fixing. Not really impressed and per our last visit - was not really wanting to come back. Big field for tents in middle of place. Some fire rings. It is nice for its location to another close marina for crabbing, etc. Steam engine also is right in front of the park that runs between the two summer holidays - fun to take the family on a small trip. Park seen better days but not the worse thing out there. We camped at Old Mill RV Park & Event Center in a Travel Trailer.
