Aug 2018 - $50.00
We were last here 5 years ago and were not overly impressed by this large park but wanted to be east of Portland to make the start of our Columbia River Gorge drive easy. We just made the RV age limit and had a level, pull through, FHU with cable site that was satellite friendly. It was near the front of the park and, thus, close to the office, bathrooms, laundry, and pool. As others have noted, the majority of sites are for extended stay customers. Unlike last visit, the bathrooms we used were clean. The laundry was modern and reasonable. I don't understand why a park this big has such a small pool. I did not see any recycling. - Jerry S

This is a very nice park with level sites that are somewhat close, some have shade and others are full sun, full hookups, cable or ota channels, very good WiFi, good ATT cell signal and a nice pool...Check in was very nice and the showers are very clean as well as the park itself...the laundry is excellent as u can use your debit card to pay for the $2 washer or $2 45 min dryer no hassle with quarters and have your cell phone text you when the washer or dryer is done...this is a very large RV Park that is big rig friendly and has 3 different levels...you can also wash your RV for $5, a nice thing if your take the time like we did....a lot of shopping, restaurants near by, close to I84 and a nice drive to the Falls or Mt Hood...sometimes a park like this is nice relief from the dirt and grass of a state park with no cable or WiFi....we would stay here again if in the area.... - smoky40
Jul 2018 - $52.00
Very nice campground just outside of Portland. Excellent utilities, good wifi, OTA channels and satellite tv worked well. Interior roads were paved as well as pads with grass in between sites. A little close but doable. Allowed RV wash for $5.00, a really nice touch. About 20 minutes to Multnomah Falls. Close to Walmart, Fred Meyer and several restaurants. We did not use the pool, but noticed several people enjoying the pool in the hot weather we were having. Very pleasant staff and appears to be one of the better run Encore Parks. - Tomandgloria

We stayed here for a week, and were not especially happy with the park. The sites were too short for our 39 foot motorhome. The grass/weeds were not taken care of. There were many resident rvs, some not well taken care of. The rules, especially for quiet time, were not enforced. We will NOT return. Also many of the sewer connections did not have covers. - Kent Savage

10 level sites. Good location easy off and on freeway. Without full hookup I cannot give any site more than 8. But it is a good place other than that issue. - Gilbert & Gail

Park hosts are helpful, provided information about shops, laundry, etc located close by. Clean grounds. 30 amps only, electric & water at sites. Dump station close by- easy access. Sites are close together. River view is nice- if you can see it from your site. This is a city park- gates are closed between 10pm & 5am. Overall, average. - TJJones
Sep 2017 - $30.00
We stay at this park whenever in the Portland area. There is not an abundance of RV parks in the area with a reasonable price. For the value, this park works well for us. We like the river view sites for the extra $5. 30 amp electric with water and a dump station available. Sites are close together and on packed dirt. Host suggested keeping things secured outside as there are homeless people in close proximity. Host very active upon arrival and throughout the day . Gate closes at 10pm. - Dick & Bev
Jul 2017 - $30.00
Hard to rate. A bit noisy with the park in front and next to rv area. A good value for location to city. Good place for a couple days. Lots of shopping close by. - Candy pop

Sep 2018 - $28.00
This is a nice find. The park is ten miles off the highway, but worth the drive. It is nice, quiet and has spacious sites. Easy access to back-in sites. There were a few other campers spread out in the newer grassy site area. This is a good spot to get away for a few days to relax and enjoy the sunshine. - G Mahon
Jul 2018 - $28.00
Lovely, partially wooded park with level sites and some privacy trees. Don't GPS the park, go by directions or you will come in on a very narrow road. Good Verizon. Some sites don't get satellite including mine but I think site 66 in front of me would. The entrance to the park is very narrow and I hit a low hanging branch. - fritored
Sep 2017 - $26.00
Very pleasant. Full service, back in, asphalt level site. Bathhouse was clean throughout our 3 day stay. County park attendant provided good security and attention to grounds. - FrederickC

Aug 2015 - $35.00
I've visited here many times over the last 11 years and if never seems to change...except they keep raising the nightly/weekly rates. WiFi is email and FB speed only, short term pads are broken up and tilt to the right (uncomfortable during showers and stuff), cable requires box, with a $50 deposit (refundable), and then doesn't work (OTA is OK though), bathroom is clean but it's 100 yards away, and requires a key ($5 deposit...refundable). All in all, I would not stay here if it wasn't so conveniently close to my friends living in the area...
When I'm lucky, and a good pad opens up, I stay here for weeks at a time. But that was last year and years past when the weekly was $180, now it's freaking $220. Really, place isn't worth that. - User35
Aug 2014 - $40.00
The place is rundown with 99 percent permanent residents. The pads are terribly un level and narrow. The manager is an older woman with a nasty attitude. Don't waste your time stopping here - Doctorlock
Jun 2012 - $30.00
Price was OK for the area and what you get. Office personal was very dramatic and every request and change seemed to frustrate her. Most sites are permanent residents. Laundry and restrooms are clean and nice. Most spots have trees, making it difficult for satellites to receive. We would not stay here again if we could find another place. - JoyceG

Oct 2018 - $47.00
Agree totally with the previous review. This park is about 2 blocks from town so easy walk to bars and antique shops. Factory outlets a very short drive away so this is a "city park" and one expects it to be less spacious than other parks away from town. Sightseeing and historic highway 30 is just around the corner. Be sure to see Crown Point then on to Multnomah falls. - Idletime
Oct 2018 - $47.00
All sites are 60' long, with adjacent parking spot big enough for a full size crew. Roads are wide and blacktop, all RV sites are concrete and level with FHU, and are approx 22' total width. Wifi is free and decent. AT&T 2-3 BARS/LTE giving 35 MB using Hotspot. Some previous reviews complain about full timers, which I usually don't like. But all the RVs in this RV park are modern, very nice or like new. Some other reviews complained about difficult approach from 84, that has been remedied with a new entrance and directions on their website from exit 16 from 84. This route is easy and no problems with our 43' A class plus tow. This RV park is walking distance to restaurants and shopping, and on Historic Route 30 for all the tourist spots without having to deal with busy Portland traffic congestion. Before booking and staying at the park, I tried for over a week to book a site at another RV Park. It took several calls a day for 8 days before someone answered the phone, and then told me they were fully booked with permanent campers for October. It is a few miles from Sandy Riverfront RV Park, so I drove there and took a look around their campground. I am so glad they were full and I stayed at Sandy Riverfront, because this campground is 1000% better and nicer. We would definitely stay here again. - JeffK
Sep 2018 - $47.00
Older park in very nice condition. Follow directions on website for easy driving access. Office folks very friendly and helpful at check in. Our site was a back in along the creek with plenty of room; site had an extra parking pad, so there was no street parking throughout the park. Many long termers here, but all have very nice 5th wheel or motorhomes. Our neighbors were from Florida and they spend the summer here visiting family and escaping Florida summer heat/humidity. That's the type of long termers here, not people in run down trailers and kids on bikes. Yes, there is a train track nearby but apparently there is only one intersection that it must toot its horn, so you really don't hear it. Yes, this area is near the airport but we never heard planes during the night time. We thought it was a nice, quiet park. Showers very clean. We didn't use the HD cable box and instead used our antennae and got about 50 channels; that met our needs. Good dog walking area to the left as you enter the park. Overall we enjoyed our 3 night stay and when we return to this area next time, we will definitely choose this RV Park again. - Scott V

Sep 2018 - $41.00
Level concrete sites, decent length. Paved streets. Free WiFi, limited cable too. Utilities located at rear of site - off door side. Staff was friendly and helpful. FYI, it is located near the west end of an international airport about 1/4 mile south of the flight path of commercial and military jets, so if the wind is out of the west it will be noisy. I would stay here again for a few nights when passing through the area. - RPBonnette
Sep 2018 - $37.00
In Portland for a family wedding in late August, we stayed through Labor Day. First, this is an urban park, not a resort facility of any sort. Yes, it's across the two-lane highway from the Columbia River, but it really doesn't have river access, as there are homes and businesses lining the riverbank. And it's right under the path of the airport. Now, being there for ten nights, the commercial planes, although not silent, didn't bother us much after a day or so. But what did bother us were the fighter jets from the Oregon National Guard station that take off from the airport, too. They have a vital function as they protect the West Coast from Canada down through Northern California, but they are LOUD. Like rattle the coach loud. The good news is that they aren't taking off as frequently as the commercial planes - the bad news is they are taking off at all. But like I said, they have a vital function. There's a move afoot to limit them somehow citing noise pollution, but the typical response is - why'd you buy a house in the flight path? Now, the park. It's adequate. You're close to your neighbors, there's a couple of off-leash areas for dogs on either end of the park, the wi-fi is typically a bit spotty, but considering how close you are to Portland, it's going to work for a lot of folks. The staff were fine, generally helpful and nice. The one shower facility closer to us (at the back of the park) wasn't as clean as I'd like, but the one near the office was better. I did laundry and for two good-sized loads, wash and dry was $6.00. The folks we met there were uniformly nice (dog owners often are and that's my entree to most people). All in all, we were pleased with our stay which allowed us to explore the area at a leisurely pace. Would come back again. - Ellistea
Sep 2018 - $45.00
Location- Good location close to highway. It is close to the Columbia River, but no views. Entry / Exit- Easy to get in and out of park and site. Cleanliness-Area around trash cans is cluttered. On our visit, someone had spilled cat litter in front of the trash bin. They didn't bother to clean it up. RV Site- Site was large enough to extend out awning. Was able to park car on the site. Although adequate, somewhat close to neighbors. View- Other RV's. Full Timers-Yes, and sites are untidy and unkept. One site had motor oil all over the pad. Landscaping- Nice landscaping but maintenance is lacking. Lawn looks like it hasn't been mowed in a while. Utilities- Power was good, good satellite, internet on par with other parks. Park Road Surface-Paved. Noise- Close to Portland airport. You will hear planes taking off, but noise level is acceptable. Staff- OK, customer service acceptable but not over the top. Issues-None. Comments- Should be a nicer park with some TLC. Full timers should be re-located to a separate section as it gives park an overall bad appearance. - OwenTen

just one night.. Great place to stop... lots of trails... found one horse trail that had a sign indicating you should pick up your dogs poop.... but no one picked the horse dung... Discrimination? Camp host cleaned the sites every day.... raked, firepit, and I did the same on departure... We will be back... - Bob Nelson
Jul 2018 - $28.00
Beautiful "real camping experience!" Meaning is was extremely dry and dusty. If it rains you will have muddy shoes! RV parking is on asphalt. You will be nestled in the tallest of timber. Yes... only 30 amp at every site. Only sewer is at the designated dump site. - Full Timers 2

One of the cleanest, quietest campgrounds in Oregon. There are good hiking trails and lots of things to do at this State Park. Clean, beautiful and off the beaten path. Look forward to my next visit. - Nothing But Blue Skies
