Excellent little park right in the heart of town. 1 block off Main Street and right behind a fantastic Mexican restaurant. The owner is friendly and helpful and the park is spotless. We stayed in one of the new spots. Hook ups were excellent and the gravel spot was level. The owner gave us a tip, that if you back in at an angle instead of straight into your site you get a much better view of the mountains. WiFi was good, cable is analog, but lots of channels. Sites are wide and have a picnic table with an umbrella. Would stay here again. We camped at Five Peaks RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Small in-town park, walking distance to many places. All sites level back-in quiet location. We'd easily stay again. Make sure you have reservations. Joseph and Wallowa Lake are a vacation destination well known such that campgrounds quickly fill up during tourist season. We camped at Five Peaks RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Consider taking the tram up the mountain for unforgettable views (weather permitting). Several places good to eat. However, we couldn't get a seating at Wallowa Lake Lodge for dinner ... fully booked. Is a special place. Have your camera ready for the many photo opportunities in the area.

Very nice owner. Some sites have much more room than mine. Very nice location as it was 1/2 block walk to be on main street with many restaurants. Would have given it a 10 if paved site and closer to the sewer. We camped at Five Peaks RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

5 Peaks RV Park is a 6-site RV park. It is set at the end of a one-block long cul-de-sac, just a block off Joseph's Main Street. All sites offer a balance of shade and sun. Sites accommodate up to 45' units, have full E/W/S service, free cable TV, and free Wi-Fi. Electric is 50/30 amps. No on-site CG restroom/shower facility. Pets welcome. Our back-in site was 40' deep and had a level, gravel parking pad. It was no more than 25' wide. Picnic table was set on site's gravel parking pad. A wood-rail fence offered limited privacy from our neighbor. Back fence separated our site from the out-door dining area of a restaurant on Main Street. Restaurant and street noise was minimal. Internet had adequate speed. Verizon cell had 2-3 bars. All sites had full or partial sky views for satellite setup. Pros: Reasonably-priced, full-service RV CG with free cable TV and WiFi. Located one block from Joseph's main street, with its popular restaurants, brewpubs, and shopping. Well-kept park with excellent on-site owner/manager. Cons: In-town CG in a neighborhood of private homes, auto repair shops, and other small businesses. RV sites are tightly-spaced. Sites no more than 20-25 ft wide. Picnic table provided, but it sits on a bare gravel pad. Shrubbery and wood fencing provide limited neighbor-to-neighbor privacy. Recommendation: If your intent is to hang-out around a woodsy campfire and BBQ, this CG is not a great choice. If your intent is to locate a short walk from Joseph's restaurants, brew pubs, and touristy stores, this CG is a good choice. We camped at Five Peaks RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The city of Joseph sponsors the annual Chief Joseph Days Rodeo in late July, Bronze, Blues and Brews in August, and Alpenfest in September. Alpenfest resembles an Oktoberfest but has more yodeling and alphorn playing, reflecting the area's reputation as "Oregon's Little Switzerland."

Greatest thing about this park is the location just a block from the Main Street of Joseph with restaurants, galleries, and shops. Also a block away from a foundery which is world famous for their bronze sculptures and offers very interesting daily tours. Very small park, so make a reservation. When we arrived someone had extended their stay so our site was not available. The owner worked it out and temporarily put us on an overflow spot in his yard. We had full hookups with 50 amps and liked the spot so much that we talked the owner into letting us remain there for the rest of our stay. We had view of the backyard with a stream and enjoyed watching chickens, deer, and cat on the lawn beside our coach. The RV sites in the park are gravel, level, and separated with shrubbery. It's a very nice little park that is owned and managed by a wonderful couple. We will stay here again. We camped at Five Peaks RV Park in a Motorhome.

Great Location. This RV park is only two blocks from downtown Joseph, which makes exploring downtown or walking to the local grocery store very easy. The park has 8 RV sites, with a few big rig friendly sites. When we made reservations, they let us know they had a perfect spot for us - it fit us and it was easy to back into. Very nice owners. We will return to this RV park, the next time we visit Joseph. We camped at Five Peaks RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The Five Peaks RV Park is clean and within walking distance to the shops and restaurants in Joseph, OR. It is quiet and peaceful. You will have to have at least two extensions to your sewer hose, because the sewer is located at the rear of each site, a long distance. There are only 5 to 6 sites available. The owners live on the property and are very nice! They provide you with info on the area, and they gave us fresh eggs from their hen house! There is no laundry in the rv park. We camped at Five Peaks RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Delicious Chile rellenos at La Laguna, within walking distance. The Embers Brew House serves many types of beer, and try the delicious huckleberry and Pear ciders! It is relaxing to sit on their patio with views of the Wallowa Mountains drinking a brewsky or a cold cider! The only laundry in town charges $3.00 to wash and $1.75 to dry...very expensive. Wallowa Lake is not far from town, and is a beautiful/scenic drive. Propane available at the Chevron station.

Joseph Oregon is one of the most beautiful small towns we have ever visited. And being a small town, well off the "beaten track" rv park choices are few and far between.

This place is a gem. Just a block off the main street, which is home to coffee shops, brew pubs, restaurants, galleries, etc, this park also boasts a spectucalur view of the Wallowa mountains which tower over the town.

The park is very small: 6 or 7 spots depending on how they configure overflow. Clean, gravel level back-in sites configured in a "horse-shoe around a pretty flower Garden and the owner's home. No bath facilities are available, so you must be self-contained. Full hookups and cable tv are available at each site. We camped at Five Peaks RV Park in a Motorhome.

This a small RV park (5 FHU and 2-30amp/water sites) located right in the town of Joseph. This is a "humble" park as stated by the very personable owner.

All sites are easy back in and our 40' 5 er fit fine.

We will definitely stay here again. We camped at Five Peaks RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Visit the visitor's center on main street. Try a great hamburger at The Outlaw restaurant and drive to Hatpoint that overlooks the beautiful canyon area.

You can't beat the location and the convenience to Hell's Canyon and Wallowa Lake activities. Joseph is a scenic and fun little town and you can walk to it easily.

A rather different place. Requested reservation on line and owner confirmed the next day via phone with a credit card to hold. Arrived and no one was there. Called the owner to see which site to take (two were empty and one preparing to vacate). He returned my call quickly and said to take any spot which was fine with me. Took the one being vacated and it turned out to have 50 amp. The only problem was the sewer was 30' from my discharge point and I was 10' short. A trip to the Joseph hardware store went well as I got their last extension hose. The owners were out of town so we didn't get to meet them during our four night stay. Another couple stops by but we never saw them until 5 minutes before our departure. They asked that we pay by check as that was the owners preference which we gladly did. Of the six sites, two remained empty, two have RVs but no people, and one had a couple visiting the area. To say the park was quiet is an understatement but a nice feature. The area surrounding the park is quite run down but easy to ignore as Main St. Joseph is so pleasant and the towns folk so friendly. Deer roam freely all around town and frequently visited the park. Water pressure was strong (recommend a regulator) and electric spot on. Cable reception was a bit intermittent but ok as we didn't come here to watch TV. WIFI was available but required a security code which we did not have. Verizon worked fine so our hotspot worked with no problem. The site was easy to back in to, was plenty big with lots of room for parking. Wish we could have met the owners as they sounded very nice on the phone. The best feature is perhaps the location...right in town, easy walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. We would not hesitate to stay here again if we return to the area and would recommend it to our friends/family. We camped at Five Peaks RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Took the tram to Mt Howard and walked the trails -very nice, great views. Had a great humus plate at the Gravity Brew pub in Enterprise. Scenic drive via hwy 350 and NFS road 39 to Hell's Canyon Overlook. Good eats in town...Embers pub good lunch spot, great coffee and baked goods at the Red Horse. Other spots looked inviting but ran out of time to try them all.

We stayed at this small campground for a week. The proximity to the town of Joseph was a real selling point. In fact, the easy access to all Wallowa County has to offer made our stay really enjoyable. Our campsite had adequate space, was quiet and the owners were very friendly and helpful, giving us great tips for things to do in the area. We would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended. This campground was very small with only 5 sites but very private and quiet. Full hook-ups were easily accessible and the distance between sites was very nice. Cable TV was provided and the owners were very friendly with suggestions for hiking and kayaking. We were only two blocks from town so access to art shops, groceries and restaurants was easy. Wallow Lake is a few minutes away and the towns of Enterprise and Willowa are only a half hour. Our weekly rate was $120. There are no restrooms or showers. Overall Rating:

This park is conveniently located two blocks from downtown Joseph. It only has five sites so you won’t find it listed in either Woodalls or Trailer Life since they require a minimum of ten sites to be listed in their guide. All five sites are gravel back-ins with FHU including cable. Each site has a picnic table. The WiFi signal is very weak and not usable but Verizon phone and aircard work here. There are no amenities, not even a bathroom so the daily rate of $25 is rather high compared to other places but the weekly rate of $120 makes it reasonable; monthly rate is $300. There is one “overflow” site which is water and electric only, on grass; rate is $20/day. The owners live in their home across from the park. The park is very quiet. We would stay again. We camped at Five Peaks RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
