1 RV Park near Juntura, Oregon
Aug 2017 - $31.00
This is an older RV park. It is part of a business that includes a restaurant, gift shop and motel. The restaurant has excellent food and all are family-run. The town is so small that you could practically blink and pass it without seeing it. Nice people. It is on Highway 20 between Burns and Vale, Oregon. The restaurant is a popular stop for truckers. The RV park was a welcome sight after a long, but beautiful drive from Vale.
The campground itself is small. The access road is primarily one "horseshoe" gravel road with campsites on both sides. The campsites are grassy and kept well-watered. the sites are mainly back-in with some pull-throughs. There is a shower but it is hard to find as it was not clearly marked. Tall trees surround the perimeter of the property.
The electrical hookups (30 amp) appeared dated, but they worked. The sewer connections are "T" shaped with several outlets. There were no amenities to speak such as a dog run, Wi-Fi or playground. I was unable to get cell service in the area. The campground was quiet at night despite being next to the highway. The green grass made the campground attractive.
This is a good campground for an overnight stay. - ArmandV
May 2017 - $25.00
This was the scariest RV campground we had ever seen. It looked like a semi-abandoned parking lot. The 3 best spots were unavailable as the sewer had major problems. The wiring on the poles was harum-scarum with wires sticking out and connections made in ways even I, not an electrician, knew were not safe. I went back in and got my money back. We continued on the Burns and found a nice camp. Have never regretted me decision.Keep moving. There are much nicer camps available in Burns. Iron butt it, but don't stop here! - idahoblue
