This is more of an update. We drove through just to check the place out. The sites look long enough to hold the largest MH out there. With the toad you may have to get innovative. Everything looked well picked up and green, it's the coast remember. I didn't check for cell/data signal. The roads and sites were paved and it was easy to get around on. They had 20,30,50 amp with water and a dump station. I didn't see any sites with sewer. We didn't go into the bathrooms or showers. I saw none of the problems listed in the previous review, however we were there on December 1st. The rate posted on the board was $25/night with available hook ups. Prices go down from there. We didn't stay here but it's on our radar for future trips through this part of the state. We camped at Boice Cope County Park in a Motorhome.

This is apparently a big favorite of the wind surfing crowd. It's also close to Cape Blanco.

This was my 4th visit. I loved this park before and couldn't leave reviews as they were too close together before. Where did former hosts go? The new host was lackadaisical at best. Seemed only interested in kiter's, not regular campers. The laundry room, was filthy as were the restrooms and shower. When the other hosts were here they all were spotlessly clean. Loved the color of the tables and the trimmed trees and bushes that gave better views of the lake and ocean. I'm done with this park unless it's kiter's and surfers attitude changes and that comes from the host. Also it time for a cleaning. It's a shame when a park changes this much. We camped at Boice Cope County Park in a Motorhome.

A very good value but there are a few negatives. 1. The main loop driveway isn't very wide and the parking pads are poorly angled so it is difficult to back into your site without leaving the pavement. 2. The sites are actually quite close together with no privacy. Luckily it wasn't busy so there was always at least one empty site on either side of us. 3. Only about 20 of the sites are deep enough for a average sized 5th wheel and tow vehicle. On the positive side, the location is wonderful and it was very quiet during our mid-week stay. Every camper except ourselves were there for kite boarding / wind surfing. There is a school for those purposes immediately adjacent. We enjoyed watching them skimming back and forth across the lake. Many sites offer a view of Floras Lake and the ocean. Both are easy hikes from the campground. The water and electric were both good, but the dump station has an awkwardly angled drain. I'm sure we will stay here again in the future. We camped at Boice Cope County Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a really nice little laid-back park. It is on a bluff overlooking Floras Lake. The sites are nicely spaced. Most of the RV sites are in a ring surrounding a big open lawn. The sites are mostly open and unshaded and have water and electric. There are other non-hookup sites as well as tent sites. The utilities worked well, and the wi-fi actually works, and works fairly well! Almost unheard of in RV parks in our experience. The restrooms are older but clean and there are showers however they were under repair waiting for the installation of a new water heater and unusable when we were there so can't comment. There is also a dump station, drinking water fill station, and a small laundry room with two washers and two dryers. They worked well and were reasonably priced although the washers are on the small side. My only complaint is that the only table in the room is covered in books, magazines, and a box of dvd's and was filthy so no place to fold laundry except for the tops of the machines. The dvd lending box was nice though and we borrowed several movies during our stay. There is also a comfy lounge chair in the laundry room. First time I've seen that! And several folding chairs as well as a cell/laptop charging station. Very windy when we were there which is apparently the case most of the time as the lake is well known for wind surfing. There is also a one mile trail to the beach from the day use area. For $24 for W & E in a nice quiet clean place with a lovely view, it's a steal. I wouldn't hesitate to come back. We camped at Boice Cope County Park in a Truck Camper.

This was a great find! Small secluded park, has tents and RV spots. First time a host ever came out to greet us, amazing! Rick was great, even helped us back in (we are new to a motor home). Sharon signed us in. Both hosts very helpful and nice and explained all the features the park has and how to get to beach and lake. The location is beautiful. Everything is super clean. We've traveled a lot all over the world and this small parks rates as one of the best we've ever been at for cleanliness, location, and without a doubt two of the best hosts we've ever had. Laundry is nice touch, WiFi worked well, Verizon had 2 to 3 bars. We will return later this year for sure. Make reservations!!! This is a small park. We camped at Boice Cope County Park in a Motorhome.

A sweet find at the end of a very long day driving. Large grassy area with rigs at the outer edges. Floras Lake is between the park and the ocean. Clean restrooms and coin operated showers. Lots have sunny, open exposures. Site surface is a concrete pad with gravel and grass, featuring a fire ring and picnic table. Dump station is free to campers. Lovely park, will definitely return. We camped at Boice Cope County Park in a Motorhome.

Where do we start? My husband and I stayed here thinking we would stay 1 night, we stayed a week. We travel quite a bit, this is the first time a "Host" came out and greeted us, got us signed in and even helped us back in to our spot. Amazing! Everything is super clean and the park even has a laundry and park-wide Wi-Fi. The beach is beautiful, the lake adds to the magic. The hosts are simply far above any hosts we've ever had. Thanks for a wonderful visit, we will be back if you are in this area STAY, reservations should be made as this is a smaller park. We camped at Boice Cope County Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Campground was very pleasant: lots of green space, trees protecting you from any strong wind and very quiet. We stayed during the off season so probably less quiet with more campers. Our site was long enough for our 38' fifth wheel and HDT but not the Jeep. Power may have been truly 50 amp and not the 100 amp supplied by many parks. Verizon phone was fine but internet wandered between 3 and 4G. Water was fine and dump station is on the way out. The only caveat I have about this park is the narrow interior road (sites are on a loop). We violated the tent site across from us during our back-in and exiting was a tad challenging as well. Our truck has the footprint of a longbed dually. The other side of the loop has a perimeter fence as the obstacle. We watched several others struggle into their sites but the little guys did fine. Even with this challenge, it is a nice park and we will consider it again. We camped at Boice Cope County Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

The RV sites with electric and water are easy back in sites (on the slant). We have a 34' 5th wheel and had plenty of space for it and our truck. They are paved and the hookups are well placed. We had a nice picnic table and a fire ring and a grill. The view is absolutely beautiful. The showers are pay but reasonable - $1.50 for longer than I ever take a shower. If you camp for a week in off-season you cannot beat the price per night. So far on our trip from Tennessee, this is my favorite park. We were going to stay for only 3 nights, but when we saw how nice the park is and the view of the lake and the ocean at once we decided to stay for a week. We did not need reservations since the off-season just started Oct 1, but I bet you do in the summer. A real plus is that there is free wifi (accessed best from the laundry room) and very reasonable washers and dryers. We camped at Boice Cope County Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The little town closest, Langlois, is cute and has a good library, too. The Langlois Market boasts over 100 micro brews. It is on the edge of a state natural area with hiking and Cape Blanco State Park that has a beautiful coastline. It is definitely driving distance to Coos Bay and even the Oregon Dunes, as well as the beaches to the south.

Very nice county park. Paved parking. Next to fresh water lake. You can hear the surf and a half mile walk to the beach. Wind surfers and kite boarders on the lake. The only negative is the small squirrels that like to explore engine compartments. We stayed for a week. Pay for 6 days and get the 7th free. We camped at Boice Cope County Park in a Motorhome.

This is a great county park a few miles out of Langlois. RV sites are paved and have 50 amp electricity, water, picnic tables and fire rings. All of these sites are in the center of the loop. There are tent sites on the outer edge of the loop with nice flat areas for pitching a tent. The park has a dump station which is free to campers. The campground is on a lake, but the ocean is not far. You can see the ocean and hear the surf pounding on the shore from the campground. We would definitely stay here again.
