The Good: Camp hosts and office staff are incredible, friendly and helpful. I would give them a ten-star rating. The park is lovely. The hookups were easy. This could have been a wonderful park. The pull-through and roadway were paved. There's excellent AT&T cell service. The Bad: The wheelchair accessible site uses loose, deep gravel around the picnic area/table. Neither of my wheelchairs will go through gravel. Tons of dog pooh. I pick up my dog's pooh every single time. If I can do it, so can you. Strong mold smell coming out of the bathhouse, so I didn't go in there; deep gravel leading to the women's side. Sites are a few feet from the high-traffic road of the campground loop. Only nature here is the vegetation. Road is very narrow. The Deal Breaker: This place is a daycare center with trees. I don't know how else to describe it. If you enjoy strange children playing in your site and next to your motorhome, even after you've spoken to their irresponsible parents, this is the place for you! Oh, that's not all. Later, their drunk mom will set her drink next to your tire while she plays ball with 15 kids in your driveway. Awesome. You can walk around the campground loop if you want to, but it is the same everywhere. There's no way to relax here, and it is LOUD. It is currently 8pm, and the noise is the same as it was at noon. Barking dogs, screaming kids, constant movement whizzing by your window, and drunken adults. I suppose it is pretty difficult to keep control of your kids and dogs when you're plastered. It isn't worth any price if you can't sleep. We camped at Fishermen's Bend in a Motorhome.

First of all, this is a BEAUTIFUL but VERY small park. It has great scenery and very nice trails thru the woods along the Santiam River....nice......The camp hosts are great.... We stayed in C16 ("C"amp loop) in the "largest backin site in the park" in our 34' coach. VERY tight (shoehorned in). This site only has 30a service (we've done this many times before) and sewer but no water (so while you can dump gray water there's no way to flush your black tank if you dump). The electric service would sometimes run for a day or two, at other times, I'd have to reset the breaker five or six times an hour (mostly during the hot mid-afternoons). The answer I got from three different park hosts was to just keep resetting the breaker. Another camper with a 30 year history with this park said they have had many issues with the electric service over the years, another camper saw me struggling, came over and told me he had had problems with his site too. His answer required resetting a breaker at another campsite across the road...???...(I've never seen a site pedestal that was "downstream " from another site pedestal) All in all a nice little park if your equipment fits and hopefully your site's utilities work better than ours did. We camped at Fishermen's Bend in a Motorhome.

Fishermen's Bend is one of the best kept secrets in Oregon! It is a BLM campground that feels like a State Park. The sites are shady, roomy and very clean, the hosts even rake the sites after each use! There's plenty of things to do there, fishing, boating, horseshoes, volleyball, basketball, 2 softball fields, a amphitheater with evening programs and planned weekend activities for both kids and adults. The bathrooms are clean and the the many hosts there are nice. If I have some complaints it's that it's getting harder to get a spot here as the park is getting more popular recently, for first come first serve you need to get there on a Wednesday morning for a site. The other complaint is the campground is only open May to October. We camped at Fishermen's Bend in a Motorhome.
