This park is an easy one day drive on back roads from the SEATTLE area on HWY 97. It gets a ten because of the long LEVEL pull thrus, immaculate shower house, lighting fast internet, helpful park managers, easy hook ups and only 20 bucks! If it were $35 a nite I wood still stay but rate it an 8. Please do not tell these people what a bargain their park is. We camped at Sherman County RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Easy to get to from "downtown" Moro about 1 mile to the east next to the fairground property. Easy to navigate with long pull-thrus. WI-FI worked fine and the laundry was spotless. The lady who manages the park for the County is fantastic. Overall, a good value for when you need a break going thru northern Oregon. We camped at Sherman County RV Park in a Motorhome.

What a great find. Needed an overnight stop to split my trip from Spokane to Bend. The park was only half a mile off hwy 97 so easy to find. Camp host came out as I stopped. Long pull through and level. Bathrooms were very clean with very large showers. Full service on my Verizon but they do provide free wifi. I even got a number of channels on my antenna TV including a good movie channel. Great views of rolling hills and wheat fields. Clear view of the night sky. A small but clean laundry. Some permanent rigs but it was really quiet. Reservations are best made on line by emailing a request. They called me back in 24 hours. For some reason the phone request I made did not work. I will definitely stay here again. The price I paid was for 30 amp. (They only take cash.) We camped at Sherman County RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

As a place to park for the night it was ok. Clean bathrooms and full hookups but basically a gravel parking lot with very close spaces. Extremely windy! 20 mph+ We didn't even put the slide out. Not a place to stay. Just an overnight stop. We camped at Sherman County RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This park is about 18 miles south of I-30 on highway 97. Access is paved road all the way. Parameter roads are hard packed gravel as are the sites. There are a few back in but most are pull through. Services are to the left rear and all worked well. Very strong Wifi and a good selection of Cable channels (with out the box). Check in was quick and easy (self check in). There is no camp host right now a recruitment is in the works. Cash or check only ($25.00 fee for out of country checks)!! If you are Canadian bring cash. We had a bit of a time getting level (points lost). Depending on the site some are more level at the rear and some at the front. All sites come with a table and raised grill. We chose this park hoping to get out of the wind. it is not a bad as beside the Columbia but still can get a bit breezy. There are two wash houses. The one at the entrance is older and dated but very clean. Laundry Mat is there as well. Two washers and two driers and again very clean. The wash house inside the park is a lot newer. It is very up to date and again spotless. This park was purpose built for the County Fair as the grounds are right next door. There is zero for activities other than to rest and relax. The small town of Moro is a bit of a walk and you will find a store and restaurant there. For the price, this park is an amazing deal. We paid $20.00 and feel that we received a bargain. If in the area again we would return. We camped at Sherman County RV Park in a Motorhome.

A great bargain for the price. We had a level pull through site with full hookups including cable with 30 plus channels. All for $20.00. ($25 for 50 amp) The roads and sites are gravel. There are both pull through and backin sites plus a separate section for tents. There are few trees and would probably be quite hot in the middle of summer, but it's dog friendly and quiet. Will definitely stay here again. We camped at Sherman County RV Park in a Motorhome.

I would agree with the other reviews....not much to look at but it's perfect for an overnight stay (however the view of the wheat fields, if that what they are, is very pretty and relaxing). The bathrooms are spotlessly clean, it's obvious that someone cares. A woman from the park came to collect the fee and she couldn't have been nicer or more welcoming. Dollar for dollar you can't beat this park for an overnight stay...$20.00 for 30 amp service, cable TV and fast internet what more do you need. Would not hesitate to recommend this park or stay here again in the future. We camped at Sherman County RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is not much of a park, but it was perfect for what we needed! We had been driving more hours than normal because of smoke from fires. We wanted a place to spend the night that had 50 amp service so we could use our air conditioning. The man on the phone was very nice and welcomed us as soon as we arrived. It's not a place I would stay long term, but like I said, it was perfect for what we needed! We camped at Sherman County RV Park in a Motorhome.

It's not the prettiest park, but it's great for an overnight. And where can you get cable and fast wifi for $20 ($25 for 50 amp) We stopped here to rest as there's not much on this stretch of 07. Checked out the laundry room and it was pretty nice. This park is located next to the fairgrounds (a tiny one) and has some monthly tenants. It was extremely quiet as its not on the highway. Power was strong... good water pressure.. and 34 channels of cable. Site was level and we didn't have to disconnect. What's not to like for $20? We camped at Sherman County RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a nice little park to get away from the crowds down along the Columbia River. And being at a higher elevation, it's usually a bit cooler than down at the Columbia River, which can be a nice during the hottest days of summer. During our visit the park was approx. 1/3 full of permanent residents. The park a bit older and somewhat rough around the edges, but clean and well kept. It sits up on a hill overlooking the town of Moro and offers pleasing views of the surrounding countryside. There's ample room for pet walking next door on the adjacent fairgrounds. Easy access to and from the park through the town of Moro. Very quiet at night. Super friendly and helpful camp hostess. Overall a good value at current rates. We'll definitely stay here again. Easy to get in/out to the paved road. Very nice manager! The wind was howling during my one night stay but no problems. Power, water, sewer all worked well and the site was fairly level. Not fancy but served the purpose. We camped at Sherman County RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Nice pull through sites, level gravel with small grass strip. Coin laundry at entrance, with clean bathrooms & showers. Very friendly host, managing it for 6 years. Quiet, nice local views, but can be windy at times (not for us, though!). Wi-Fi was excellent. Only 30 amp was available when we camped. Less than 1 mile from 97, on an easy road. Tips for other Campers:

This area is surrounded by soft white winter wheat fields harvested in August. Camp host recommended the Sherman County Museum, open May 1, and the Mary Hill Museum that has an excellent art gallery (about 20 miles North). Also, this campground has horse facilities available.

This is an old fairgrounds in the country that is still used for county fairs. We were pleasantly surprised by the location. It's on a hill with great views of mountains, sunsets, and with a little walk, the lights of all the wind turbines in the distance. And for $20, full hookups, cable tv, and adequate wi-fi. The only down was the somewhat close spaces. But they were plenty long pull through. A good place to spend the night. We camped at Sherman County RV Park in a Motorhome.
