One of the finest RV resorts we have ever visited. Mostly owned sites. Situated on a bluff overlooking the Pacific. Lots of good hiking areas. Facilities are ADA and well maintained. Nice heated pool, spa outside plus a sauna inside each sex's shower room. Dedicated unhooking and hook up areas. We stayed a week and would stay again. We camped at Pacific Shores Motorcoach Resort (Formerly Outdoor Resorts) in a Motorhome.

Beautiful, with lovely landscaping, paved roads, all sites are back-in or pull-in, and are concrete. Plenty of space, great for walking, nice trails down to the beach. We're a bit prejudiced, since we own our lot here. We camped at Pacific Shores Motorcoach Resort (Formerly Outdoor Resorts) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Lots of good restaurants in Newport; Georgie's (a bit spendy, but worth it!); Chowder Bowl, Newport Cafe, among others. For day trips, the coastline is gorgeous, both north and south. Historic Florence, Lincoln City, Tillamook Cheese Factory, Sealion Caves, lighthouses, etc.

From check in to check out and everything in between, this is a superior resort! The sites are individually owned, so each is a bit different in amenities they have built in. The ocean front spaces are off the charts amazing with super views of the ocean and light house! Also, a lovely grass area strip runs the full length of the ocean front spaces. The club house is centered in the middle of the upper tier, swimming pool, spa, party room, work out area with elliptical and tread mills. All staff super friendly and will go out of their way to help. We camped at Pacific Shores Motorcoach Resort (Formerly Outdoor Resorts) in a Motorhome.

Lots of good restaurants in Newport and nearby Depoe Bay. Tidal Raves in Depoe Bay a favorite...reservations suggested. South Beach Fish market is just across the bridge in Newport and has all types of fresh seafood, you can buy and cook at home or eat there. It is superior!

We have stayed here twice before. It is probably our favorite RV Park. Location, location, location. Private beach access, lighthouse, views just can't be beat. Pricey, but we feel it's worth it. Registration queue is nice and you can unhook and hook back up in the RV storage area which is easy and convenient. Sites, especially the ocean and view ones, are all really nice. No pull throughs, back in or pull in. They now have cable at site w/o needing a box. 62 channels. Big improvement! Lots of work has been done to the trail system and pickle ball court. Very nice! Internet was still weak and very frustrating until just before we left, when they installed a new system and repeaters. The last few days we were there it was great. Pet off leash area at the front corner in storage area. Outside mail room door to check on packages. Upkeep as good as ever. Gym has a couple more pieces of equipment but no weights. Indoor lap pool. Wide paved roads and wide, long concrete sites. We camped at Pacific Shores Motorcoach Resort (Formerly Outdoor Resorts) in a Motorhome.

This is a top notch 5 star RV Resort for motor homes only. Has everything that you could want. Two pools, two hot tubs, sauna, laundry room, pickle ball court, beach access, great views. This is definitely a 5-star resort! We booked an oceanfront site and enjoying seeing the ocean from inside the coach and on the patio. You could also hear the waves crashing. It's a bit of a walk down to the ocean (steep walk plus stairs), but the surroundings were beautiful. We didn't use the facilities, but they looked very nice. The internet was fast and reliable. We walked around the resort and the owners we ran into were very friendly. The grounds were immaculate! We camped at Pacific Shores Motorcoach Resort (Formerly Outdoor Resorts) in a Motorhome.

Stayed here numerous times. 5 star resort right on the ocean with a "private" beach. Stay in the upper section to see the ocean and have bigger spots. The big news is the resort now has great wifi. We camped at Pacific Shores Motorcoach Resort (Formerly Outdoor Resorts) in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We've stayed here several times before and, while not a great value, it is predictably well-maintained, and reservations are mostly automated. We opted for a back-in site in the "low rent" district. Since this park was designed as an ownership resort for large Class A rigs, interior roads are all paved, and sites are all solid surfaces (various textures and treatments). Backing in was easy in spite of some junk, er, decorations, that the site owners placed right at the corner of the pavement. Utilities are well placed and working well. With the rig parked to allow access to the utilities, parking for the toad on the other side was very tight. Since all the sites are open, we had a strong DirecTV signal. VZW and Sprint were good, but Park Wi-Fi was very weak. We camped at Pacific Shores Motorcoach Resort (Formerly Outdoor Resorts) in a Motorhome.

Beautiful RV resort located on a bluff above the ocean and on the west side of hwy 101. Check-in was easy with escort to site. All sites are back-in, paved, long, extra wide, FHU, and open. Interior roads are also paved and wide enough for easy navigation. There are two pools with clean and modern bathrooms and laundry rooms. There is a gorgeous ocean view from the front sites but there is less wind and it is quieter at the lower sites. This is an ownership park so the amenities and landscaping vary from site to site. There is a trail to the huge, uncrowded, and dog friendly beach. There is also a fenced dog park and green space for walking a large dog. We camped at Pacific Shores Motorcoach Resort (Formerly Outdoor Resorts) in a Motorhome.

We booked an ocean-front site and stayed a month. Unfortunately, the sun only came out about three times during our stay. It seemed exceedingly cold to us. We weren't prepared for the mist, cold and wind. The beach is a bit of a slope to get to but accessible. The area is strategically placed to be within an hour's drive of some incredible areas including Cape Perpetua, Cape Foulweather, and Heceta Lighthouse. We loved the clubhouse and the indoor pool and spa. There were lots of others that also enjoyed these facilities and so there were times when children were allowed into spas and pools with behavior that the parents were not controlling, ie, babies in the spa, screaming children in the pool. The indoor pool is a very secure area so lots of parents relaxed in the spa while their children went unsupervised in the pool with a lot of running, jumping and cannonballing. Also, the indoor pool and spa were closed twice for reasons unknown or explained. Our site was beautiful and the groundskeepers kept the place spotless. Newport is a fun town to explore. We camped at Pacific Shores Motorcoach Resort (Formerly Outdoor Resorts) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

While it is wonderful to be right on the ocean front, you pay premium prices and get more wind and wet than if you were in a site back further in. You pay ultra-premium prices for ocean front and much of the time it's so foggy that you can't seen the ocean or the lighthouse.

We booked an oceanfront site for a week--and the view was incredible. We could whale-watch from the patio. The beach was just below, but there is a rather steep walk with switchbacks to get to it. Nice wide beach with a little bit of tidal pooling at low tide if you climb up on some of the rocks. You can see Yaquina Head Lighthouse from the front sites. Even if you don't book oceanfront, you can whale watch from many overlooks with benches and tables. The sites are nicely landscaped. We camped at Pacific Shores Motorcoach Resort (Formerly Outdoor Resorts) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The resort is convenient for exploring the Oregon coast. Visit Cape Perpetua (45 min. drive south), Seal Rock (25 min. south), and Depoe Bay (great whale watching, 5 miles North). Eat at Tidal Raves in Depoe Bay.
