Park hosts are helpful, provided information about shops, laundry, etc located close by. Clean grounds. 30 amps only, electric & water at sites. Dump station close by- easy access. Sites are close together. River view is nice- if you can see it from your site. This is a city park- gates are closed between 10pm & 5am. Overall, average. We camped at Clackamette RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Bike & walking paths along river. Keep your things locked up- vagrants at city side of park sometimes come into RV park looking for 'things'. Park hosts are diligent about keeping an eye out.

We stay at this park whenever in the Portland area. There is not an abundance of RV parks in the area with a reasonable price. For the value, this park works well for us. We like the river view sites for the extra $5. 30 amp electric with water and a dump station available. Sites are close together and on packed dirt. Host suggested keeping things secured outside as there are homeless people in close proximity. Host very active upon arrival and throughout the day . Gate closes at 10pm. We camped at Clackamette RV Park in a Motorhome.

Hard to rate. A bit noisy with the park in front and next to rv area. A good value for location to city. Good place for a couple days. Lots of shopping close by. We camped at Clackamette RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice close place to Portland. Right next to the lovely town of Oregon City. Only downside is it is first come-first served. Both nights filled to capacity we were there. It was a little free-for-all in where you camp in some spots, but it was fine for us. Only water and power, but a dump station is right at the park. We camped at Clackamette RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

I have actually stayed at this park several times. It is just a couple miles from the Airstream dealer and works great when I am taking my RV in for service.

The gate is closed from 10pm to 5am. And the host specifically checked that I had holding tanks. (Mine is the Airstream Mercedes Sprinter van, so a bit incogneto)

When I have been here in the summer the park has been popular during the day. Things quiet down at night.

This is a great inexpensive place to stay when in the Portland area.

The only reason I gave a lower rating on the cleanliness and the site is because it's been rainy, and the sites are pretty much all muddy. It doesn't not seem they have done anything to mitigate the mud.

The spaces are close together. Plenty of room for a van, someone with slide outs on both sides may find it rather snug.

The host was friendly, as they have been in the past as well.

I would recommend this park to anyone who wanted a safe, friendly stopover in the Portland area. We camped at Clackamette RV Park in a Motorhome.

We needed an overnight stop and most RV parks in the Portland area (very few to begin with) are full for the summer. Make reservations early, the locals love camping in RV's! This was fortunately one spot that seems to get overlooked if you need a last-minute place that is secure at night (gates are locked at 10pm). No reservations, it's first-come first-serve. Most sites are pull-thru and big-rig friendly. Check-in was a little confusing, no place to park without blocking the entrance. Might be best just to pick a spot you like and pull-in? That's what we did and the camp host met us at our site to take a credit card or exact cash only (no checks accepted). Sites right next to the river are extra, maybe $5 more? We arrived on a Wednesday evening and the campground was less than half-full in the middle of July. You will want to be self-contained to stay here, no showers and I can't remember any restroom either, except if you walk over to the park (not far). We were in the 3rd row from the river but could still see it. Sites are crammed next to each other though, so it's practically a gravel parking lot. At least no one pulled in next to us that night - we picked one between empty sites. No picnic tables for sites here. There is a dump available here. Lastly, we work online and make sure to say something about Verizon's coverage - surely no need to worry being in the middle of the city here, full bars LTE data and cell signal. We camped at Clackamette RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The location and the river really is the best thing about this spot - in town close to everything. You can walk to McDonald's over the hill if you get hungry after they lock the gates. :)

The best sites are along the river. 2nd row is pretty good, too. All sites are a little close to the next. Good rate makes up for it, plus you're in the city. Road noise is moderate. Easy to access off the main road. I was able to pull in over 100 TV channels. I think the other review had issues with his TV. It's a great spot to drop in your kayak or do some river fishing. Best kept secret. No reservations. I was able to get a site last minute on weekends. The park has 2 great green parks, kids' activities and water access. Hosts are great people and keep all areas CLEAN. Great park centrally located. We camped at Clackamette RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is a bare bones park. There are no restrooms or showers. There is no TV reception. The camp hosts were friendly and helpful. The sites were narrow and ours was uneven. It costs $25 if you want to be in the front row by the river. We got a nice view in the 2nd row. Their gates close at 10:00 PM, which was a little inconvenient. It is the only park available other than state campgrounds in the Clackamas area. There is ample bank fishing areas if you like to fish. We camped at Clackamette RV Park in a Motorhome.

I gave this park a high rating mainly because it is there! Off river front sites are $20. On river front $25. Pretty quiet even though near I-205. Close to fast food and other shopping. Park gates locked at 10 pm to 6 am, so no drive through traffic during the night. There is a dump site for an additional $5. Friendly camp host. Would certainly stay again. Our daughter got married in Oregon City, and we were pleased to find this small river front RV Park. We stayed here one week. We had a river front site. They are pet friendly. There is a nice park right next door where you can walk dogs. The only problem we noticed is that the park had no trash cans for doggie-clean-up bags. The main gate closes at 10:00 P.M. and if you stay out later than that, you have to park outside the gate and walk in. Not too bad, unless of course, it is pouring outside. Overall a pleasant experience and we look forward to returning often We camped at Clackamette RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is the only park I know of on the Willamette River, the east side of Portland. It is easy access off the freeway. Relatively reasonable cost. There is water and electricity, with a dump station on site. There are no showers available in the restrooms. There is a boat ramp. The only problem is because of the geese, this park is not clean and there are droppings everywhere. Great view of the river. We camped at Clackamette RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

While not your most attractive park, it is a GREAT value. Trees are on the river side but rest of park is basically a gravel lot with hookups. Very convenient if you are passing through or need a short stay in the area. While no sewer at site, the park (city runs) has a dump as you leave. We arrived mid-day on a Friday and most of the slots were taken. River side spots are a bit more ($3) but still a great bargain. Entire park is gravel but level. Never did really find restrooms--appear to be the facilities in the city park nearby. No restrooms directly in RV area. We camped at Clackamette RV Park in a Motorhome.
