I was initially apprehensive to stay at this spot due to the remote nature and relationship to Crater Lake. I was impressed after being here a few days by the Staff, the wifi, and the ease to get to some great hiking, fishing, and exploring. It's not far from Diamond lake, Crater Lake West entrance, and Lost Creek Lake. I had 2 bars boosted for Verizon and 1 bar boosted for ATT. Full hook ups on paved (although a little un-even) sites tucked into the trees. A few long term rigs that I believe worked there. Felt safe and secure the whole time. Unfortunately, we we given sites right on the highway, so we were serenaded daily and nightly by traffic noise. we all can't be on the back side but for a 15 night stay I would have preferred to be farther away. Good value, friendly people, and strong Wifi made up for the traffic. We will be back. We camped at Crater Lake RV Park (AKA Prospect RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

they provide some useful and local to the park hiking options. DO THEM! worth the time and sweat! Prospect pizza is a must. The pizza is good but the owner and staff are fantastic (and love to give fishing hot spots away)

Smaller, older park. A little tight, but was still able to navigate my large rig through the park and into my space. Well kept, and very friendly people. And the key here: location, location, location. No better place to stay near Crater Lake with FHU. We camped at Crater Lake RV Park (AKA Prospect RV Park) in a Motorhome.

This is a bit of a throwback to more traditional camping. Very clean park. One small restroom location which we did not utilize. Host campers are a good help and patrol regularly to see if any help is needed. Our utilities worked just fine and sites are easy to get into. We had no leveling issues. Check in was a bit of a hassle. A new employee was having a difficult time but we got through it just fine. Rate was competitive and fair. Verizon service was next to nothing. Even texts failed regularly. WiFi worked pretty well most of the time. One morning the staff had a small free breakfast with muffins, coffee, tea and hit chocolate in one public area. It was very nice to start the day. They also sponsored an evening of entertainment with a local fiddler group. They were pretty good and a lot of fun. They got campers (and their kids) involve. Campfire, free hot dogs and fixings along with s'mores. Another fun time. Lots of ranges of campers from those with young kids to those more senior in our years. Quiet hour was well obeyed and sleep was no problem. There are short hikes all around. Be sure to take their recommendations and you see some nice waterfalls. Roads can be a bit tight but sites seems very spacious. I did notice a couple with obvious level issues but most seemed good. It is about an hour to the park entrance. What a great view of crater lake. It is magnificent. We camped at Crater Lake RV Park (AKA Prospect RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Nice park with a good amount of space between most sites. High speed internet worked well (28MBPS). We were able to stream Netflix. The place was quite in the mornings while we were there which is a plus for us as we like to sleep in. There are a lot of camp hosts in this park that aren't necessarily familiar with the area. I went to the main office the day before we left to ask if certain roads around there were safe for motorhome travel and the lady told me she had no idea as she wasn't from the area. We camped at Crater Lake RV Park (AKA Prospect RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Lots of cool things to see around here. Pearsony falls on Mill creek, mills and barr falls. Natural bridge is a must see and the gorge at Union City 10 miles up the road was really cool too.

Sites were private as there were trees between them, although they were close. No satellite in our site, some might have gotten it, beautiful giant pine trees, picnic table, fire pit, fairly level, 50 amp, FHU easy to get to, easy to navigate through the park, hosts lead you to site, coffee & muffins on Saturday morning, wifi great. You can walk your dog around the campground and there is a little path through the woods. Informative about nearby sites to see. On the way to Crater Lake, pass Beckie's Diner, which serves excellent pies, and across the street is a food truck "chuck wagon" serving good BBQ.

Nice large sites. The bathrooms are outdated but are being replaced and they are adding laundry facilities. It’s a nice location close to Crater Lake, many sites, hikes, waterfalls, lakes and more. The people who work there are very friendly and accommodating. There is a floating discount the longer you stay the less expensive. There are also more discounts. We camped at Crater Lake RV Park (AKA Prospect RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a lovely campground with huge spaces. It is very well maintained with pretty gardens and benches. The staff go out of their way to make your stay pleaseant. They provided us with a large wooded site, nice picnic table and, if requested, a fire pit for a campfire. The only thing I could say would be for them to boost their WiFi signal otherwise this was a great place to stay. We camped at Crater Lake RV Park (AKA Prospect RV Park) in a Travel Trailer.

This is a small, quiet family owned park. The sites are long, a little narrow and level. There are lots of tall trees which makes it really pretty, but not helpful for the satellite. They charge extra for a DirecTV box so we didn't watch TV. The wifi was so good we downloaded from Netflix. Only got cell service at the office. The staff is excellent! It's a good 30 minute drive to the National Park, but the staff gives you a map of lots of other nature trails and places to visit which was awesome! They do charge for a fire ring and firewood. Our firewood was wet, so we were disappointed there. The staff put on a cute Memorial Day celebration which was fun. There is no laundry at the campground but a laundromat and a very small grocery store in Prospect (not much of a town there) so come prepared. We really enjoyed our stay. We camped at Crater Lake RV Park (AKA Prospect RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This park is very wooded, with paved level sites that are separated from each other, often by large tall trees. It's more like being in a state park than in most private parks. Most of the sites are very long and should be able to accommodate any size rig. The trees make getting a satellite TV signal difficult, and there isn't cable in the park, although I understand that they will rent you a box to connect to their sat system. They have recently upgraded their WiFi, and we found the WiFi signal to be strong and fast, one of the best WiFi connections we've had in 2 years full-time. There's no Verizon signal here, and while there seems to be an AT&T tower nearby, there's no Consumer Cellular signal. There's a very extensive DVD library for free use. This is probably the closest park to Crater Lake, and there are many other sights to see nearby. Our nightly rate was $28.50 + $2.75 for 50 amp service. We camped at Crater Lake RV Park (AKA Prospect RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Great location for exploring the area. The camp hosts were very nice. Our site was shaded and big enough. WiFi and cell service was practically nonexistent but who cares, you are camping. If WiFi and cell are important to you, then camp somewhere else. You are in a national forest for you will not have good cell anywhere nearby! It was a great location for going to Crater Lake, exploring the waterfalls and trails nearby. We checked out a day earlier than our reservation and they refunded the night that we did not stay. Would have given the park a higher rating but bathrooms are in serious need of updating. We camped at Crater Lake RV Park (AKA Prospect RV Park) in a Motorhome.

This was our 2nd stay here. Small campground with sites mingled among the tall trees with plenty of shade. Site was paved and fairly level. Plenty of room for my 5th wheel & truck, interior roads are easy to navigate. Staff is great. Wi-fi at sites are spotty to say the least (you can head up to the office if you really need to connect with the outside world). Great area to explore Crater Lake NP and the numerous waterfalls in the area. We will stay here again. We camped at Crater Lake RV Park (AKA Prospect RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

This park caters to those looking for the camping experience. No cell service, no wifi and the bare minimum of amenities. The park is 20 minutes away from the south entrance of the park and is beautiful being in the heavily wooded area.
