This is an excellent RV park. The staff is friendly and efficient. The park is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness. The roads are paved and easily navigated. The sites are paved with plenty of room for both the RV and toe vehicle. Amenities included full hookups and worked fine (water pressure seemed a bit high but a regulator addressed that). Patio at our site (C-7) was paved with a picnic table but was a bit small. No cable TV was a drawback but there were plenty of over-the-air channels. We would not hesitate to stay here again when in this area. We camped at Deschutes County Fair & Expo RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This was our 4th stopover at Deschutes County Fair & Expo RV Park in the past 3 years. It's become our go-to RV park when we travel from Portland to Eastern Oregon and beyond. The RV Park is adjacent to the Deschutes County Fair & Expo Center. We have found that nightly fees were significantly lower than other Bend/Redmond CGs; the CG was safe, clean, and well-maintained; many sites were Big Rig friendly; interior roads were wide; about half of the CG's sites were pull-thru; all sites offered level concrete parking pads; there was an on-site club house with laundry; it was a very short stroll to fairground events, and a short drive to shopping and restaurants; and the CG's staff was courteous and accommodating. Note: Some back-in sites are more spacious than others. We have found that many of the back-in sites - along the far perimeter of the park - adjacent to the fairgrounds - offer the most privacy. We camped at Deschutes County Fair & Expo RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice facility. Everything is maintained well. Nice concrete sites that are level with plenty of space in between. Big rig friendly. All utilities worked well and are placed the way they should be. Verizon data service was super fast. On site office and management 7 days a week. Better facilities than most "resort" campgrounds for much less. Laundry available at inexpensive rates. We camped at Deschutes County Fair & Expo RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We loved this park and will be back. Every site is level with FHU's and there is ample room between sites. RV's are on cement with a picnic table and cement patio. The roads are easy to maneuver even for big rigs. The entrance is actually on Elkhorn from 19th St. We camped at Deschutes County Fair & Expo RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Obviously a park built with large RVs in mind; interior roads are wide and easy to navigate and sites are extra long, level concrete, and have a patio and separate parking space. Check in was quick with a professional and friendly host, and finding our spot was easy. Conveniently located hookups, although the sewer fitting is at least 6" above ground. No trees for shade, so no obstructions to TV satellites. Great OTA TV with many channels. No cable or WiFi but Verizon cell/data worked well. Noise from aircraft was minimal but train noise during the night was sometimes loud enough to wake us up. The entry road to the park can be confusing; the sign is between two right turns - take the first one if exiting from US 97. Great park staff - I had left a small piece of equipment on my picnic table to dry after a rain. The park host saw it while we were gone, took it to the office, and called me to let me know. When I picked it up she had placed a fan next to it to help it dry. That kind of service will guarantee our return. We camped at Deschutes County Fair & Expo RV Park in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Nice RV park and worth the price of under $35. Level concrete pads, asphalt streets, 50 amps, good water pressure, picnic table and barbecue stands on every site. Plenty of TV channels via digital antennae. Not many trees, pretty wide open and easy to navigate with wide streets. Big rig friendly, very dog friendly. Minor issue is an airport nearby with jets taking off between 6-6:30 am and air traffic throughout the day Train tracks are also near enough that it can be noisy at times with whistles and track noise. Some days trains seem to run more than others. Nice staff, clean facilities and overall, a very nice stay. We camped at Deschutes County Fair & Expo RV Park in a Motorhome.

We have stayed here many times and enjoy staying at the park. They roads are all paved and the sites are cement. The sites are angled and have gravel between the sites. The park is well maintained and clean. There is access to the fair grounds area if you want to walk or ride bikes. The staff is friendly and helpful. We have found it to be the best place in the area for the price and convivence. We will continue to use this park when In the Bend, Redman and Sisters area. RV Park is adjacent to the Deschutes County Fair & Expo Center. There are several reasons for spending a night or two: Nightly fees may be significantly lower than other Bend/Redmond CGs; safe, clean, and well-maintained grounds; Big Rig friendly interior roads; pull-thru and back-in sites with concrete parking pads; on-site club house with laundry; short stroll to fairground events; short drive to shopping and restaurants; and a courteous and accommodating CG staff. However, be prepared for mostly narrow sites with very little space to sit outside. This is our 3rd park visit in the past 3 years, and we plan to return whenever we visit the area. In Sept 2018, started accepting Good Sam Discounts! We camped at Deschutes County Fair & Expo RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We got to the park and were told by the person in the office that rates had gone up $1/night and they would not honor our reservation rate made apprx 6 months earlier. He also informed us of power outage problems that were going on in the park but we never experienced that while we were there. Clean park but very small pads and you are CLOSE to your neighbor. We had to park our 5th wheel 1 inch away from the chainlink fence surrounding the park and even then we had to park our truck sideways in front of our trailer as did everyone else with exception of the pull through spaces, where an extra pad was provided for your vehicle. Probably won't stay here again. We camped at Deschutes County Fair & Expo RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed 4 days in our motorhome. Check in was fast and courteous. The park is mostly asphalt and concrete with patches of grass. There is a dog run, however most folks walked there pets in the adjacent fairgrounds lawns. There was a rally here, so all of the larger pull through sites were taken. The back in sites are tight, just enough space for the coach. There is a bench on gravel with your neighbor about 10' away. They could have done a better job placing the sewer connections since many (for your neighbors use) are close to your door. the highway noise in minimal and the plane traffic same. If Redmond does not have the shopping experience you want, Bend is just down the highway. Lots to do in the area. We will stay here again.
