Nov 2018 - $35.00
This is our second time in the park this year. It is still clean, well maintained, and managed. Water is turned off at most sites due to cold weather; permanent residents have been moved into the few rows that still have the water hooked up. We took one of the pull in sites (#77) around the lake at a discounted price ($35) because there was no water hookup. Regular, full hookup price for any site is $50. Good Sam discount brings it to $45. If staying this time of year, make a reservation if you need to have water hookups. Check our review from May 2018 for most information on the park and surrounding area. - DiplomatTraveler
Oct 2018 - $60.00
We were invited over to this park for a weekend with friends. We had never stayed here before and were initially surprised by the $60 a night price tag. It's worth every penny. The park is beautifully landscaped all around. Lush green grass between all the sites (almost all pull-throughs) and large open grassy areas on all sides. There is an outdoor heated pool and hot tub, nature/excercise trail and a modest off-leash area for pets. For a small fee there is unlimited putt-putt golf and fishing for trout in the lake. The bath houses are very clean and well layed out and the office/store is well stocked with good inventory and very reasonable prices. Fire pits, high quality picnic tables and modern full hookups at every site. Cable hook up and remarkably good wi-fi. The staff was friendly and helpful and they will pick up your refuse at your site as well as your propane tanks to refill and return. It's really hard to point out any deficiencies in this park, it's one of the nicest we've seen. Yes, it costs more then a lot of other parks but the value is certainly there. It is located right on Highway 20 and you can hear the road noise, but we stayed in spot 17 - about halfway across the park from the highway - and were not bothered at all. They are about 5 minutes east of Sisters which is a fun tourist town with all the amenities you would need. Overall a top notch park. - Trespasser

South Shore is your typical US Forest Service campground. There really aren't any amenities. The campground is situated along the south edge of Suttle Lake 14 miles NW of Sisters, Oregon. Some of the sites overlook the lake and a few go down to the water's edge. There is an area with a dock for launching boats and a trail around the lake. The area has many bird species including osprey and bald eagle. Most site are large and the campground is full of trees. The restrooms are concrete buildings that were very clean. Water is available from several spigots throughout the campground. We plan on staying here again. - Another brick in the wall

We stayed in Space #1, which is by the rear road. Site was gravel with large boulders to define the space. We used our Honda Trail 90 all over town. Golfed on two great courses and drank awesome ales. Then departed for Oregon Jamboree music festival. - Nevadatude
Jul 2018 - $15.00
Worst campsite ever. We've been full-timing for 2 years, and move often, and of all the campsites we've had, site #22 ties for the worst. The campground map doesn't show that there is a parking area (for other people) next to our door, or that the dumpster is near our picnic table. We might as well be parked in the road. And the gravel pad is terribly uneven. I wouldn't stay here again it it was free. - Ardi
Jun 2018 - $35.00
This campground was a nice surprise. Our site was very pretty, neighbors were not close, and lots of things to see in the small town of Sisters. Our site had a cute stream behind it, and no other campers. I would definitely stay here again. Make sure you look at the direction of traveling down the road to your site. Our host told us the wrong direction and we saw it happen many times. - Cindy8720

This is a standard forest service campground with a pit toilet in the center but no frills. There are lots of tall trees but a few spots have several hours of sunlight if you need to recharge solar panels. The loop road is paved; the sites are dirt. Each site has an old picnic table and fire pit with a metal grate. The sites are huge and your neighbors won't be close. Some road noise from highway 22. One loop is for tents; one loop for RVs. More scenic sites are nearby along the Metolius River, near Camp Sherman. - John Mosley

This is a small very tight friendly park in a great part of the state. Only have some sewer hookups and they are under the rig and not on the side so makes it a little hard to hook up. I have stayed several times and while not my favorite park will more than likely come back due to the location. Satellite is a little hard due to the trees and no cable. Some sites are a little uneven while others are OK. Have several full time run down rigs but that is not that big of a deal. Wi-Fi has a lot of problems and only was able to sigh on for about a hour during our three day stay. No cell coverage or at least on Verizon. - RV Jim of Oregon
May 2011 - $30.00
This RV resort is a joke. DO NOT STAY HERE! It is the maintenance yard for Hoodoo Recreation Services. Their company trucks and employee private vehicles are parked everywhere including the reserved spots. The sewer connections are conveniently located in the middle of parking site so you have to crawl under your rig to hook up. Electrical post are knocked over and Wi-Fi: forget it. Roads are too narrow for rigs much over 30 ft. The management is unresponsive to complaints about unruly staff. RV'ers be warned. - camper 38
Aug 2009 - $28.00
Small park in a nice setting. Right off a Forest Service paved road but real quiet. Short walk to the Metolius River with a lot of fly-fishing. Gravel bike and walking paths across the road from the park. Sites are closer together than I prefer and the roads are extremely tight. The road layout leaves a lot to be desired. When you stop at the dump site you completely close the road. Gravel pad was very close to level. Pad was a bit narrow so you were on the grass when you stepped out of the rig. Also a number of long term occupants but things were neat and clean. Restrooms neat and clean but men’s shower stalls were cramped. I could never get the Wi-Fi to work even though it said I had a good signal. Office staff seemed very pleasant. Overall enjoyed the stay here biggest negative was narrow main road. - SWID

Cold Springs Resort is the perfect example of Location! Location! Location! It epitomizes camping in a beautiful, peaceful, relaxing, get away from it all environment of tall, tall Ponderosa Pine trees just a few feet away from a clear, gurgling, spring-fed mountain stream full of trout. Did I mention quiet? Not even a Verizon signal to disturb you. Sites are situated in the middle of an old-fashioned cluster of log cabins. All are full service along with picnic tables and fire rings. All have lots and lots of shade and most seemed big enough for large rigs to back into. Just a short walk from each site are park benches along the Metolius River and across a log pedestrian bridge from the wonderful Camp Sherman general store. Everybody needs a few days here once in a while. Sisters, OR is just about 15 miles away and provides lots of good restaurants, stores, an accommodating pharmacy and a great bakery. (Get there early before they sell out all of their yummies!) The surrounding mountains offer all kinds of activities--but best of all is the peacefulness--grab a good book, your favorite beverage and settle in. It's heaven! - MissouriBird
May 2018 - $45.00
This park is quiet and peaceful. A short walk to the Metolius River and also to the Camp Sherman Store. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. From our site we could watch and listen to the birds. No AT&T or Verizon cell service, but able to connect with excellent WiFi. Also able to make internet phone calls. This is our third time here. - Lynne L
Oct 2015 - $37.00
The entrance to the park is, first, easy to miss and, second, traverses through private property to get to the park. It's a bumpy road so take care. This park is more for cabin rentals, which are on the Metolius River, than an RV park. The main RV sites are in a sort of circle in the middle of the cabins, and they are all back-ins with full hookups. The "outback" sites are grass and back up to a very small creek. They are 30 amp and water only. The water hookup appears as though you are attaching to the water sprinkler system. The price is the same whether you have a full hookup or not, grass or not. What? We called ahead to see if we needed reservations and were told we did not. When we arrived, all the full hookups were taken, and we were directed to an "outback" site. The Wi-Fi did not work, and there is no cable. My spouse thought it had a "campy" feel like something from Dirty Dancing and didn't like it at all. It is quiet at night and easy access to the Metolius and other visitor attractions. The price, however, is ridiculous for what you "don't" get. We won't be back. - Free

Nov 2018 - $33.00
After Nov. 1, just B loop is open. Site B26 is the longest site in the loop. It claims to be 47' but our 43' coach did not fit until we slid the end curb back about 4'. We still had to park our toad in the overflow area near the entrance. Getting into many of these sites is a challenge for large rigs because boulders and trees have been placed right on the entrances severely restricting access. Many trees have not been trimmed properly, so watch your overhead clearances, too. The showers in B loop are terrific, with unlimited hot water and really good heaters. The day use section across the road is very pleasant and a great place to walk dogs. - bobcovey
Sep 2018 - $33.00
Wow! Great State Park. Some sites with full hook-ups. Sites are a little short but well-spaced. Lots of trees and grass. We were here on a weekend but it was still pretty quiet. The campground was full & they were turning people away so reservations definitely recommended. There is an $8 fee for booking online. - storms
Aug 2018 - $33.00
Smaller than some other Oregon state park campgrounds; the terrain is somewhat hilly (though sites are generally pretty level)This was our 2nd stay in this park, and we enjoyed our overnight there. Our paved site was just long enough for us to stay hitched up, a bonus for us. Utilities worked well, and it was nice for us to be close to the bathhouse, which has separate shower rooms, as well as a men's room & women's room. The camp host we interacted with (there are several) was very friendly and helpful. The campground was quite full but was nice & quiet overnight. Some road noise here from local roads & US 20, but not bad. Sites are nicely spaced side to side, but can feel close across the rather small campground road. Not much privacy for tenters - in some sites the tent pads are right by the campground road. Most sites seem too short for larger RVs, though smaller and medium-sized ones (up to 28 feet) have lots of site choice. - PokyRVer

We stayed here last year for two weeks, and it is the same as we reviewed then for this two week stint at $125 a week. We were comfortable here, but it is not everybody's cup of tea. They have finally supplied toilet paper in those giant Texas toilet paper dispensers. The long termers may look seedy, but they are friendly, helpful, and kind. One of the worst places we stayed at was a high dollar park where everyone seemed cold and judgemental. I would definitely stay here than there. - mycelia
Jul 2008 - $12.00
The place was tacky town. All but 3 or 4 sites were full time(monthly). Stereotypical trailer trash. Joe Dirt would have been at home. We were glad to have it as an emergency came up and we had to stay 2 weeks...at $75 a week. That's the best thing about the place. We felt safe but were cautious. Some people asked for $20 that they would pay back on Tuesday. Bring your own toilet paper to restrooms. - mycelia

Made reservations 43 days prior to our arrival. When we arrived they did not have a space for us. Sent us to another RV park claiming they were their "sister" park and said we were all set up there and they knew we were coming. That was not true and they told us they had sent other RVers over saying the same thing. Copper Ridge also made an unauthorized charge for a deposit for other people on our credit card. After numerous calls to Copper Ridge with no response trying to get my money refunded I finally turned it over to my my credit card company as a dispute and they resolved it. We had a 40 ft MH and the park is very crowded and small. They did not have a space large enough for us in the first place. There was not even a manager in the park. The other RV park did accommodate us and assured us they are not affiliated with Copper Ridge in any way. Would never stay at Copper Ridge! - Ron Rusher

Sep 2015 - $17.00
Very nice camp and camp hosts. Very clean, park was full. Good water, good electricity, good sewer hookups. Very good WiFi. Gravel, hot water in showers which are clean. Sites are close to Crooked River bluffs. About half residents seemed to be seasonal. - Jim Lee
Jul 2015 - $27.00
We stayed in our fifth-wheel for 4 days. We made a mistake with our reservations and they still accommodated us. Apparently lots of the customers come and stay for 3 or 4 months during the summer, but the park owners are on site at all times and so the sites are clean and the park is extremely quiet. Not a place that caters to children, as no play areas, but we prefer the quiet. Bathrooms are the cleanest I have ever seen at an RV park. Wi-Fi is fine for basic use and they tell you it is not designed to watch Netflix, etc. TV reception is great. Would definitely come again. - mrs-c
