3 RV Parks near Spray, Oregon
Jul 2010 - $10.00
This is a great location to use as a base camp for exploring the beauty of Wheeler County and the John Day Fossil beds. There is a mix of tent and trailer sites. Some of the sites are small and some are absolutely HUGE, about half the sites have water, closest sewage dump is back in Fossil. There is some pit toilets that were newer and clean, the park host here is VERY friendly. We camped in site #2 which was a 70ft pull through, however I wouldn't recommend anyone pulling anything larger than say 30ft as some of the corners would be hard to make. The rates were $10 first night and $5 each night thereafter. it's a very nice campground, our only wish is that it was farther from the highway as you can here the traffic going by occasionally. - josh970506

Monument is located on the North Fork of the John Day River, approximately 120 miles southwest of Pendleton, 60 miles northwest of John Day, 142 miles northeast of Bend, and 190 miles southeast from the Portland airport.
This is a combination Motel and RV park. The park is very quiet and peaceful. Located directly next to a large open field where wildlife such as deer, Mountain Goats and wild turkey can be spotted.
It is a very simple park with a friendly family owned staff. It could stand some improvements, but considering the very small town size, it is amazing it exists at all. - Oregon_Adventure
