Overall Rating:

Nice older park that is being resurrected by current owners. Roads are tight for big rigs, but doable with a little patience. Nicely shaded, decently leveled gravel sites with good full hookups. The current owners are definitely trying to improve their facilities. I-5 is close by and can be noisy sometimes what with the inconsiderate Jake-Brake Jack-A*s semi drivers late at night...certainly not the fault of the park. Overall, a great stopover on the way from Portland to NorCal. We camped at Sunny Valley RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Neat covered bridge short walk away and a quirky interpretive “museum” along the way. Grants Pass is 15 minutes away for all those that can’t survive without a Walmart or Fred Meyer for more than a couple days. Great restaurants there too.

Overall Rating:

This campground used to be a KOA. It looks as if they've been putting a lot of effort to improve the overall campground. We just needed a quick stop for the night before continuing on, so we didn't even unhitch. The site was a pull through and mostly level on an asphalt pad. It was quiet even though we were just off the freeway. We'd stay again next time we're in the area. We camped at Sunny Valley RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Very nice people running this campground. We got here the first day they were open after being closed for the winter, so they had a lot of cleanup work going on. These are not pristine campsites, but heck, we're on a road trip and camping! Excellent bathrooms and showers - among the best we have experienced. We camped at Sunny Valley RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Our tale begins broken down on Interstate 5 just north of Grants Pass Oregon. After arranging tow trucks for both our 5th wheel and our pickup our 5th wheel was towed to Sunny Valley RV Park. Because our insurance company had already contacted the husband and wife owners of the park, they had made a space available with easy access for the tow truck to deliver and park our 5th wheel. The next morning, the owner moved our rig with his own pickup to a more desirable full service space. Besides being the most accommodating hosts that we have met in our years of travel and camping, the campground itself is wonderful, bathrooms and showers impeccable, and the whole park very well maintained. There are a few permanent residence that we met while they were tending their community garden; they were friendly, helpful and more than happy to talk with pride about the garden. Wish we could have stuck around to enjoy the fruits (ie vegetables) of their labor. The owners showed great concern and went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. Sunny Valley RV is a full service park able to accommodate just about any type and size vehicle. We will definitely stay here again when we next pass through in June. We camped at Sunny Valley RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
