Elevation 1500 feet. Campground has 10 sites and a group shelter. Swimming in the Nestucca River. Nearby access to the Siuslaw National Forest. A number of area roads are good for mountain biking. This is a primitive Bureau of Land Management campground that is part of the Nestucca Recreation Area. Campground is literally on the side of a hill that eventually makes its way down to the Nestucca River below. There is river access for swimming and what not, but unless you snag the one campground that has this access, you are unlikely to get a chance at using it from Dovre. The bathrooms, permanent outhouse structures, were clean, and stocked with toilet paper. Sites are very small, you'll be hard pressed to get anything much bigger than a Truck and Slide-in Camper into these sites. Major detractors to this campground are the lack of water access, and the fact that Dovre seems to be more the "Party" Campground of the several BLM campgrounds in the area. Alder Glen and Fan Creek, just down the road from Dovre are flatter campgrounds, and seemed to be somewhat nicer layouts, plus having far more universal access to campers to the river than Dovre on its high hill. - The Redneck Express

Stayed 2 nights. Nice shady spot. Park store did not carry very many items. Office/store closed at 5:00 pm which seems very early for summertime traffic. Staff was very professional. - Lorelie
Jul 2017 - $38.00
The cable is being changed over to digital and worked for some channels. When we tried to connect to WIFI we couldn't find a password on the paperwork given to us. We called the office and asked if we could get the password. Then we were told we probably couldn't get it from our site (#3 close to the office) but we could come up to the building if we wanted WIFI. We should have been given that information on check in along with a password to use if we went up to the building. We had stayed there previously and received WIFI from the same site before. We were not able to receive a signal at all even with an extender. The stantion where the cable is was broken and part of it lying on the ground. The majority of the tenants in this park are full timers. We won't stay here again. - traveling
Jul 2016 - $32.00
The park was ok. A lot of permanent residents that keep their lot pretty trashy. My only complaint was the wifi. The owners need to provide proper wifi connection or take it off the amenities. - Guzmanka

Called to find out when we could check in was told "noon" so got there about 12:10 as was told check in is at 3:pm but will see if your site is open and will let you check in. Person who waited on us made me feel like I was doing something wrong. Park was pretty empty. Convenient to town and other points of interest on the Oregon Coast. Bathroom are clean showers are pay buy the minute. Laundry is only open from 8am to 5pm. Oregon Coast is beautiful. - Cactusflower
Aug 2014 - $25.00
Basic RV park with some grass & trees. Mostly what appeared to be permanent residents but unlike many other parks with many permanent residents these folks seemed to keep the place nice. I arrived Thur of Memorial day. Desk person acted like she wasn't sure if there was a space available but "found" one. I observed 3 empty spaces that nite and next. Next AM I asked if I could stay another nite and she said yes so maybe I'm not reading her correctly. Would stay again. - Tireman9
Sep 2013 - $30.00
This park provides little more than full hookup sites. There is no cable TV and over the air TV is not available. The Wi-Fi is provided by a third party and costs $5/day or $20/week. This only provides a connection for 1 device. If you need to connect a second device, then you have to pay another access fee. Cell phone reception is spotty at best. The sites are very narrow. We were only able to open our patio awning because we dovetailed with the slide outs on the adjacent 5th wheel. - Indio_snowbird

We stayed here two nights for a MTB race in Falls City. Shower/bathrooms were clean and rates were good. At the time we were the only people there that were not permanent residents of the park. We had no problems with anyone and everyone we talked to was friendly. - TwoWheelerHealer

This is a good RV park at the county fairgrounds. It's a gravel parking lot with sites that are large and well-spaced. Sites that back up to the perimeter also have grass behind them. Caretaker is very friendly and helpful. He greeted us when we drove in and let us choose where we would like camp. We had good WiFi (Verizon) and cell phone (AT&T). Also several OTA TV channels. This is a great place to stay for a day or two. We will definitely stop here again if in the area. - Bobbi1948
Jul 2018 - $25.00
I echo the previous review in all aspects. This place is an excellent "no frills" overnight or base camp place, assuming there are no large fair events going on, which detail is posted on their site. Actually, the serenity of being in a very large gravel lot with only four other RVs, and virtually no road noise was welcomed and refreshing. No shade and not a campground but a very good option for an overnight stay. Dump station open for one use only. - homey
May 2018 - $25.00
The rear area of the main fairgrounds parking lot is open for camping when no events are taking place. It features a vast expanse of level, compact gravel with plenty of room for big rigs to maneuver around. Electricity and water are located at various points throughout the parking area. Sewer hookups are not available at the campsites, but a dump station is available on site near the main building. Be aware it can be blocked if the parking lot is being used, like it was when a flea market was in progress during our visit. Only one free dump per visit is allowed and the dump station is kept locked when not in use. We experienced some logging truck noise early in the mornings coming from nearby highways. Check in procedure: Pull through and clear of the entry gate then park out of the way on the gravel lot. During regular business hours (Monday through Friday) you can walk over to the fairgrounds office located in the main building to check in. After hours and on weekends, contact the onsite caretaker for assistance. The caretaker's cell number is on the fairgrounds website. He was friendly and helpful. There are no self-check in procedures here. Only cash and checks are accepted. - Gyropilot

Oct 2018 - $41.00
We are not full timers, but have been RVing for the last twenty-five years all over the country as well as several coast to coast trips. Believe me, we have experienced the full range of places to park. Old Stone Village is the nicest park we've experienced. Sparkling clean bathrooms and laundry, very nice grounds, great staff, and great location among other features. Also just an $8 Uber trip to old town. Don't miss it. - User3369
Aug 2018 - $46.00
What a find? Great location, sites are perfect. 33 pull-through sites, 38 back-in sites, free showers and restrooms, laundry facilities, heated seasonal pool (from Memorial Day to Labor Day), level concrete pads, playground, beautiful landscaping, covered gazebo and barbeque, free cable TV, free Wi-Fi high speed internet. Close to Portland, Salem and coast. We stayed there twice in a month. - Charlene Clegg
Aug 2018 - $46.00
This is a highly rated park in Oregon's wine country area. It's unique in that one half of the park is park model's and permanent residents, and the other is all rent-able RV sites. The sites are all paved and have concrete patio areas. The only problem I had at the site was that while the site was long enough for the rig, the patio was towards the back. There was a nice lush grass area at each site as well, but I have learned that it usually means that the park does frequent watering to maintain that lush grass. I tried jockeying the rig back and forth trying to reach a happy medium between getting the entry door of the rig to be on cement, and still be able to access the bay doors on the drivers side. The RV pads are a bit close with no real barrier between you and your neighbor, but sites are well taken care of. There are good size shade trees on most sites that we really appreciated on sunny afternoons, as the sun was on our patio side. But the trees tend to be planted at the ends of each RV site instead of the middle. I did choose to back out of the site when leaving though to avoid any possibility of scraping tree branches down the side of the rig. The sites across road angled opposite from ours and would have had afternoon shade. They had a pool and a small workout room. Right next to the park is the "Evergreen Museum" which is a Aviation and Space Museum, and is the current home of Howard Hughes' plane the Spruce Goose. Included in one of the museum buildings is an indoor water park that has a full size airplane on the roof. The plane is an actual functional part of the water park, and two of the water slides are started by climbing to the top and entering through the hull of the plane. Pretty amazing. The restrooms are new and handicapped accessible, but you do have to enter them going through the laundry room facility. All are kept in excellent condition. They do offer free wifi, but our T mobile air card worked great here. - SargeW

Very nice RV park in West Salem just off hwy 22. Roads are paved and wide enough. Sites are paved, both back-in and pull-through , FHU, 30/50 amps, angled, close together with grass or landscaping in between. However, they are not especially long. The utilities worked well and all of the facilities were very nice. There was a dog park and lots of trails for walking a large dog. - JoyceM
Jul 2018 - $56.00
Ended up staying here due to a mixup at another park. The staff was helpful, welcoming, and friendly. When we had a problem with the 30A service at our site, they sent someone to fix it right away. Nice grounds, tidy and clean. - Boonville Jim
Jul 2018 - $40.00
This is an older park that is kept clean and well maintained. For a larger coach, the sites are narrow and difficult to get in and out. They do offer super sites which are two sites together; one for the coach and one for your tow vehicle. The pool was always busy and management always has some special event planned, whether an ice cream social or munchies with a live performer playing music. The park is very dog friendly with lots of trails around the park as well as off leash areas. This is our first time at this park and will stay again. - ranchoddellago

This is a mobile home park with RV sites and many with permanents. Roads and sites are paved and level. Sites are not long, but fit a 37 foot motor home. Small grass area and bushes between sites. Close to shopping, etc. Water, power, and cell (AT&T) good. We would stay here again. - kmgulf
Jun 2010 - $12.00
We stayed the whole summer here, because we were building a home in the area and needed an interim residence. The park is clean, and the staff is very friendly and responsive. Many of the campers are full-time residents or summer residents who go south in the winter. The park is clean and well cared-for. Pets are welcome, although it is a bit of a hike to the "pet area." We found the residents all to be friendly and cordial. There were some "overnight" guests during our stay. They were often "berthed" in the pull-through spaces, which are long enough, but a bit narrow. Campsites are paved, with ample room and privacy. All are full hook-ups; some have 50A service. The rate we paid was the monthly rate, $340, which included all utilities. We would stay here again. - punomatic

The small park has many older RV's, some long term. The grounds need maintenance. The park is not a good choice for larger RV's. We had to unhook our Jeep to maneuver through the campground to leave. We did not stay here due to the run down condition and overall appearance. The large 5th wheel that arrived behind us also did a walk through of the campground and departed. Sad to find a campground not worth $12 Passport America rate. - Navy RV Traveler
Jul 2010 - $12.00
Rate quoted is PA. This is an older park and has a number of either permanent or long-term residents. Sites are generally level and gravel. Park is quiet except for the occasional train, and the tracks adjoin the south side. Laundry is workable, but could use some cleaning. The park in general could use some sprucing up. On-site managers are friendly and helpful. For the price, it's OK considering the full hookups, but not sure we would stay again. - gardenmom1234

Very nice resort with friendly staff. Too bad that there are not enough camping spaces to accommodate the demand and because of that we had to move around resorts, but a big bonus is that they keep the pool and hot tub open after Labor Day.
There's no cable TV and the reception via the antenna is limited. - henny04
Jul 2016 - $40.00
Desperate for a place to spend the night before visiting the Evergreen Museum, we stumbled across this little gem of a park. The staff is friendly and helpful and went way out of their way to find us a spot. There was no extra charge for our children or pets. The pool was warm, well-behaved, and clean, as was the furniture around it. The bathrooms were immaculate, even late in the day. The showers were clean and hot. There is ample grassy space between sites, there is some shade, the pads are level, and the utilities are in good order. All in all, impressive service and facilities and a great place to stay! - User1103
