Timothy Lake South is a very nice campground. We got to choose between spots in the open or wooded areas. We chose a fairly large back in site in the open area. The site backed to the woods. Some friends parked in the wooded area and ended up moving to the open area due to the number of acorns falling on their motorhome. The amenities were in good shape and the pool looked nice although it was closed for the season. The campground was quiet the whole time we were there. Our stay was great. - RLKeller
Nov 2018 - $50.00
Big park with lots of spots. Has three bath houses. Went during the fall, so the pool was closed. Gated entrance which they close at night. Need a code to enter after hours. Went to East Stroudsburg to the Escape Room and had fun. - Yamileth Karina

We stayed here to start our winter escape from New England. As Thousand Trails members our site we free. There were a fairly large number of sites to pick from and they were plenty long. However several park roads were very tight for maneuvering our 43' fifth wheel. We were saddened that the attendant in the office at the time of our visit was less than helpful. All in all, we'll stay here again on our return. - BluesmanG

Sep 2018 - $45.00
Very small park, very crowded, almost all seasonal campers, very noisy and smoky from everyone having a fire in their fire ring. Only 30 amp service, very weak WiFi, which had so many people on it, I could not even connect. Very narrow roads inside park crowded with multitude of kids walking around and golf carts. Very windy narrow roads to get to the camp. I have a 37 ft Motor home with a toad and it was difficult. I had talked with them about a larger site. I got probably the only one that I could back in the 37 ft MC. - A Adams
May 2016 - $20.00
I've camped here several times in a motorhome and tent. The sites are mostly seasonal with water electric and cable hookups. No site dumps but they do offer to clean out your tanks for a small fee - $12.00. There is also a dump station. You can also rent a trailer, park model, and cabins. The cabins are small but they are lake front and nice. The campground, located at the base of the Appalachian trail, is clean with a picturesque lake for fishing, a clean pool with a game room, volleyball, and a pavilion for weekends bands, DJ, and even Sunday church services. The baths and showers are decent but can get a bit overwhelmed on holiday weekends. The rental hook up sites range in size from small to very large and spacious. For me, the true gem of this place are the primitive wooded sites. All densely forested and large. About half are trailer and motorhome accessible. The rest are tent or popup only. They all offer a true boondocking experience. The staff is nice and accommodating. There are also many activities available. - DumpStation

Jul 2019 - $27.00
This campground has two personalities: (1)quiet and peaceful from Sunday afternoon through Friday afternoon and (2) rowdy and loud during the weekends. PROs: Lots of trees/green grass Relatively quiet during the week. After 11 PM the campground gets pretty peaceful. Decent cable(no HD) No sewers, but tanks are pumped twice a week for weekly, monthly, and seasonal campers For Monthly or long-term campers you are given an electronic pass for the gate ($25 refundable deposit). Campground is bordered on its west side by the Delaware River,so it's very convenient for boaters and rafters. CONs: Although there are signs posted in several spots in the campground about NO LOUD MUSIC with threats of expulsion for violators, on the weekends there are always units that blare music that can be heard 100 yards away - and farther. It goes on for hours and hours so obviously nobody is willing to enforce this rule. Visitors are charged $10 each no matter what time of day they come. (A nearby competing campground charges $5 after 5 PM). The office staff is often unfriendly/uninterested. The rules state that all dogs must be on a leash, but several times I was approached by unleashed large dogs while leash-walking our two small dogs. Thankfully these dogs were not vicious, but still it's unnerving to see a 75-pound bull pit galloping directly at your two little dogs. Too many campers (mostly tenters)have no reservations about walking though others' campsites as a shortcut -even though the written rules state that you are violating someone's "home" when you do this.We finally roped off out campsite during the July 4th weekend. 30-Amp power only. No WI-FI repeaters. If you are not sitting near the pavilion,it is very difficult(or impossible)to get a connection. - w3sjkb3aam
Jun 2018 - $52.00
Location! Location! Location! We chose this campground because of its close proximity to the Delaware Water Gap National Recreational Area. It did prove to be good for that. The campground is quiet despite how many units are in it. MANY seasonals. There is a boat ramp to the river. Diesel is available nearby. Easy access from I-80. Friendly check-in. Showers are coin operated but didn't use them. WIFI is available at the pavilion. Our site was down the hill and wifi reception was occasionally available. Grass sites. 30 amp only. Honey wagon available on Monday and Friday. Leveling required more blocks than we have ever used. Overall, we were fine. Served the purpose. However, WIFI is important to us. The rate is too high for the services available. - lovingthervlife
May 2018 - $52.00
Overall, we had a good experience, even after a little bit of an issue upon our arrival. We stayed on Oak 41, friends had Oak 39 and Oak 42. Oak 39 is meant for a smaller trailer and does appear to have a low spot which could hold water, but even after the rain we had we didn't notice any standing water. Oak 41 and 42 are very similar in size. They are meant for longer units, we have a 43' 5th wheel. These sites sit about 1 foot lower than the road. Being grass, it can be tricky getting into the site and worry about wheels and jacks sinking, but if you use boards under your tires or jacks, no issues. We did have difficulty getting into our site because the 4WD wasn't engaging on the truck, we we got a little stuck, luckily we were far enough into our site that we just dropped the camper where it was and enjoyed our weekend. When we left, no problem getting the camper out of the site. Our site was definitely spacious as plenty of room behind our unit to put down our ramp door and open our 3 slides. Sites are not perfectly flat, but you will need to do some leveling, but not too much. It is a very crowded campground, especially the tent sites, which all seemed to be nice and well used (not in a negative way). They offer port-o-johns throughout the tent area so you don't have to make the long trek up to the bathhouse in the middle of the night. Staff was very friendly and I was constantly seeing maintenance crews working around the the campground. Upon leaving, they were starting to go around and clean up the fire ring areas. They were picking up trash from the tent area, but it appeared if you were in a camper you took your trash up to the dumpsters, which we didn't see as a problem. The pool was very crowded so we didn't bother to use it. Though everyone we noticed in the pool seemed to be enjoying themselves. When we were there, Verizon had no cell service. AT&T services was full 4G. Make sure you put your jacks on boards or blocks so you don't sink. Even recommend putting tires on boards, though we did not do this and didn't have any issues when leaving. Overall, we all had a good time. - cplofhds

Jul 2017 - $56.00
Stayed during the 2017 "RiverFest" weekend in July. Big rain (3-5") first night, many campsites and some roads near us had huge "lakes" of water, but basically all drained during the next 24 hrs. Staff was very cheery and helpful, and ran many fun activities for the kids and adults, with all of them being free (many other c'gs would no doubt charge for them.) Bathrooms were clean & kept in good shape during our stay. Biggest draw for us is the very pretty site right on the Delaware river; the river is split around an island beginning at the front of the campground, and the river between the campground and island is like a large creek, about 4-5' deep at center, and fun and safe enough for even littler kids to play in. They do also have a nice concrete boat put-in right at the front of the campground for bigger boats that want to go in the main river. Site are generally large, and most have at least some shade. We always have a great time here, and will continue to return every year. - Will Dennis
Jul 2016 - $57.00
Great family owned campground. Right on the scenic Delaware River. We really enjoyed camping here. The staff was very polite and helpful. There was plenty of activities to do. We did an 8 mile canoe trip on the Delaware River . It was AWESOME. They bus you up the river and then you canoe back to the campground. We really enjoyed our stay here and cant wait to go back. - scottrig09

We stayed here on Cardinal 5 in a 34 foot travel trailer. Being the weekend after labor day and crappy weather, the park was super quiet. Our site was HUGE with plenty of room to pull through. No issues with water or electric. Seasonals are super friendly! - SSport
Aug 2017 - $36.00
Ugh! What a disaster. Checked in after having made a reservation using my Good Sam Discount. The shower shall I used in the Men's bath house didn't drain. Wound up standing in 4 inches of water. While we were there, 4 police cars raced into camp. Don't know why. We stayed in our camper. The sites have some kind of black gravel that you'll track into your unit. Numerous potholes throughout the dirt roads to the sites. When we went to the office in the morning to tell them we were leaving (* AM on a Sunday), the office was closed, but a sign on the wall said: "Overnight sites, $30". Yet we were charged $36. While they offer cable TV, we needed a barrel connector to hook up. Fortunately, I had one. The 30 amp electric was terrible! 112 volts without any electric appliance in operation. I had to use an auto-formr to be able to run the air conditioner. Find another place to camp! - thetravelkids
Jun 2017 - $41.00
This park has a large number of seasonal and a few year round residents. Park is neat and well maintained. They have about 10 sites for short term campers. They have a well maintained pool that seems to be in constant use by mothers and kids. We're here for a month while visiting family in the area and regularly stay here each year. It's quiet and OK for our needs. It has a very sharp uphill blind corner on the approach to the entrance that can be exciting if you happen to meet another rig going the opposite way. We got invaded this stay by small ants. - SuperRep

This campground has its own private fresh water 10 acre lake. They have a nice sandy beach. My children enjoyed digging in the sand. They rent row boats and canoes. There is also fishing. The campground has blanket fishing license. Sites were very large, level and has stone on them. Well run and very organized. I had an issue with my trailer and one of the staff was there in a few minutes to help me out. We will definitely be back. - Josephg

Rustic campground, reliable elec. My site was sloped fore and aft., Tick city so inspect you and your dog after walking. - Bill Kelly
Aug 2019 - $44.00
Camp Taylor is in fact a 100 % genuine outdoor experience as they advertise this place to be. I took the time to leisurely walk the entire campground and took note of as much as I could. First, other than around the small lake/really huge pond area the entire campground is heavily wooded. In fact much of this part of NJ is heavily wooded. The roads are a little narrow yes but that helps give you that in the woods surrounded by nature feel you get here. The sites here are huge compared to most other campgrounds. Even if you were here when it was filled I can't see where you would feel crowded. The tent sites are a ten star rating by any standards. Water pressure was good and the 30 amp power was good and steady. No sewer but they have water and there is a pump out service. They have a nice clean little swimming area, game room, mini golf and even gem mining. No cable and I don't care. Don't know about wi fi and could care less when I'm camping. Would a 40 foot motorhome fit here I don't know, maybe in a spot or 2 but then again there were some pretty large 5th wheels parked in here. The seasonal sites were all really kept nice and clean and some had some pretty cool stuff set around them. There are a few really nice little cabins to rent (See pics). The showers and bathrooms were spotless. Actually the whole campground was spotless. Its a good hike up to the wildlife Pens and I saw a pretty good sized bear on the way. They do have activities on the weekends but if you really like the being in the woods outdoors kind of camping then this is it. Access to miles of wilderness hiking can be had right from this campground too. We will place this on our return list for sure The owners were really nice folks too. - GDM
Jul 2018 - $42.00
Mixed emotions about this campground: Beautiful spot, site was great and backed up to woods and a little stream. Quiet hours start at 11 PM, and other campers were blasting music and making lots of noise up until 11. We go camping for the peace and quiet, and this was awful. Maybe they could have a set aside "quiet area" for those of us who don't go camping to party loudly. Power went out twice, and water went out once. Not long, about an hour or so each time, but it was a little frustrating. Site was not level. I used several boards to try to level the RV but still had a lean on it. Follow the written directions to get there. We did and had no trouble at all. - Kevco

Stayed overnight passing through the area. Interior roads are very narrow and steep in places. We were in the hilltop loop in back and the site was on grass and needed quite a bit of leveling material. Folks in office were nice, we had a few OTA TV channels, and we had 3 bars of Verizon 4G. - jtl2
Jul 2019 - $60.00
First the good: Lots of trees, nice pool area. I liked that they have an adult only pool, and nice jacuzzi. We liked the security gate, but didn't like the surprise of handing over $20 cash deposit to use the card. The roads to the CG are a bit difficult, narrow and a couple sharp turns. But for us the big negative was how very sloped and uneven the sites are. We had site 5 for 4 nights. We could not get level. Major slope front to back, and enough side to side that after 6 tries, ALL 10 of our rubber pads. Problem with being unlevel is if it rains, the rain can breech your slide seals. AND water didn't drain out of our shower pan, AND doors won't stay open. It rained a lot one of the days we were there.... We had to put in two of our slides, and wipe up a lot of water. It was uncomfortable leaning. For a resort, this is unacceptable. We looked at the other nearby sites that are not for all-season people, they were just as bad. They are gravel with grass, not very defined at all. When I told the front desk, they didn't seem surprised or concerned. I did like the privacy and quiet of where we were. - Diane and Tom
Sep 2018 - $55.00
This campground is primarily for long term campers. This might be why the men's restroom neither had a lock on the door or a shower curtain on the old avocado shower. I saw a school bus with a deck built on the side and an old travel trailer with a blue tarp to keep the elements out. The place has potential if someone would clean it up. Many wooded electric and water sites were wooded and private. The staff was friendly but we would not return even if it was free. - mojomoho

Sep 2019 - $48.00
We just 'overnighted' on a weekend and that's about as long a time as we'd want to stay here. The campground is 3-4 miles off of Hwy 209 on some very narrow, twisty roads. In fact, we scraped the side of of our 38-ft fifth wheel trying to negotiate one of the tight, tight corners. So be aware if you're planning a visit. Inside the campground, interior roads are dusty gravel. Made worse with the speeding vehicles (cars, trucks, golf carts, etc). Interior roads are fairly narrow with some sharper turns and hills to negotiate. Not necessarily big rig friendly. Sites themselves are gravel/grass and very close together. Quite a few seasonal campers and not all of them do a good job of maintaining their site. The weekend night we were there, the park was nearly full and noisy. May be quieter on a week night. Also, might be a good place to bring the kids because of the swimming pools and fishing ponds. Just not a place to go if you're looking for peace and quiet--at least not on a weekend. - boardman

Says pet friendly but that's incorrect. I can understand not wanting dogs near the water for those fishing at high prices, or swimming. But the rules of where you can walk your dog are very strict. The staff isn't very friendly. And I'm sure unless you're a permanent fixture here, you're treated like crap. Sad, because it's pretty. But I doubt we will be back. I've been to so many other places in this state much much nicer. This one happened to be 10 minutes from home. I was hoping it could be a nice stay-cation. - Crystaljean

Beautiful park with plenty to keep you busy. We went fishing at the lake, had a great time. We also played mini golf and after that we relaxed by the fire while the kids played in the arcade. I really like the fact that there is security at night and quiet hours from 11pm to 8 am. Its a fun place for the whole family. - paulyboy
Oct 2017 - $38.00
We stayed at Evergreen Lakes for 13 nights to visit family and friends in the area. This is an older campground that is mostly seasonal RV, older TT and fifth wheels. The first site we were put into was to low in the back for a motorhome, so the let us move to D46. The interior roads have a lot of low branches. While the wooded setting is pretty and quiet, it was not a big rig friendly CG and I'm only 35 foot. I saw voltages as high as 132 at night when the demand dropped due to cool nights (45-49) and few RV's had Heat Pumps. You are required to run your hot water on propane because of the 30 amp service. After my lengthy stay I came to find out that they have at least eight 30 amp/water/sewer setups right at the entrance in a stone area. I asked if they'd let me stay there if I come back and they said yes if it is after April and before mid-October. Unfortunately this is really the only CG close to the Bethlehem/Easton, PA area. On future trips I will return if I can stay in the open area at the entrance rather than have to be in the sites in the woods. My Rate reflects a weekly rate. I paid for 2 weeks for a 13 day stay as it was cheaper than there nightly rate. Cash or Check only, no CC. Staff: Friendly and Helpful Inner Roads: Paved/stone Site No.: D46, Wooded so No Satellite Site: Backin, Power and sewer were convenient, but water, cable were between our site and the one behind us, Site Level: level Power: 30a, 118-132v Water: 40 psi and lower depending on demand Sewer: No issues WiFi: No WiFi, but had 3 to 4 bars with AT&T Cell. - Russ G
