23 RV Parks near Clarks Mills, Pennsylvania
Apr 2018 - $25.00
The campground is actually located in Clarks Mills, which is close to Sandy Lake. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The sites were spacious and well-maintained. There was a beautiful lake only a five to ten minute walk from the entrance and it is full of fish. Eagles can also be seen nesting nearby. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. - John A Guderian
Aug 2018 - $40.00
This place gives you the impression, that back in the day it was probably good. We were in the only pull thru area, but roads are not wide enough to make turns, had to pull in on 1 spot to get into our spot, spots are not angled so pretty impossible to get out too, without driving over grass, The place is pretty run down and not very well kept at least in the section that is Not Seasonal Campers, where we were. We have dogs and we went for a walk and walked they the park, some one from the permanent section yelled at us no dogs in the park, the park a rules did not say this, but he felt that this was necessary to inform staff. This place at best is worth 20 a night, the view from our sight was facing the back of someone else's shed - User3138
Jul 2017 - $40.00
Crammed in like sardines, they don't take bank cards at Snack shack, no change machine in laundry facility. .25 for three minutes on dryer! Spent 13.00 on one load, left with damp clothes. Our site was literally two feet off the road! Couldn't use fire pit, too close to our camper, 50.00 fine if you move it! Bingo was a rip off, spent 40.00 and yelled bingo but she said she didn't hear me! She said oh well , I guess I'm the bad guy! You couldn't even understand her calling, she mumbled and was a poor individual to be calling numbers. Entire place was a money pit! Not worth the money. Sites were awful!!! Rude front office workers. Do not waste your time or money camping here.Fines for everything, Not a friendly place to camp and relax. - Deb Mailliard
Sep 2016 - $45.00
We love this campground. We camp there yearly. 3 times every Summer. They are always nice, caring and helpful. So many improvements are made yearly. Great stays every time. - Mark and Sue

We only stayed in this park for one night; we were in a pull-thru and didn't disconnect our Jeep. The gentleman in the office showed us to our site. Even though the electric had a 50 amp outlet, our motor home's meter only showed 30 amps coming through. The man had explained that that might happen, but that it really was 50 amps. Strange. It didn't matter to us that night as it was cold and we didn't need any a/c. There was nothing special about the campground; looks like there are a lot of seasonal rigs parked there. It was not convenient to I-79 so we wouldn't come again. Also, a warning for anyone pulling out onto route 358 (Hadley Road), it is a narrow, blind intersection and the traffic comes at you at 60 miles per hour. - dbcordello
Jul 2014 - $26.00
This is a very nice park; family owned for many years. Staff is very friendly and helpful. After they saw the size of our rig, they willingly changed our reserved site to a larger one and escorted us to it. Many full-time residents but all sites were very well maintained. Lots of trees and plenty of shade but no problem getting large rigs around the roads. The sites are gravel but very level. They even have a flush toilet in the outhouse in the tent area. - SandyA
Jul 2018 - $36.00
Small, new campground with very clean sites. Well positioned water, electric and sewer. High water pressure. Well seasoned firewood available on site. The owner stopped by several times to talk and make sure we didn't need anything and were enjoying our stay. Great fishing in the pond. Extremely quiet and peaceful. A welcomed change from the larger, busy campgrounds we have used this summer. We will be back next year. - Price-man
Sep 2017 - $48.00
Powder Mill Campground is like an oasis in the desert... Once you stumble upon it you'll be refreshed for your journey on. Although a relatively new Campground everything was well thought out. Brand new full hookup 50 amp service, great well water with good pressure, convenient sewer location, level sites, Big rig friendly, Plus 4 cabins for rent. They've got everything. There is a lake & a creek nearby, storage units and a wedding reception pavilion. Everything is brand new including the restrooms and showers. I recently stayed there for just four nights, And didn't really want to leave. The roads there aren't that bad for a 40-foot rig. Only about a mile off a major highway, with all paved roads to get there. Easy in easy out. Lakes for fishing, Trails for hiking, beautiful country side view, Peace and quiet. Who could ask for anything more... - _RAY_

This park was rated a 9.3 on RV Park reviews, and I am not sure that is a good rating. It is nice and secluded, and weather should not be a factor even though it poured and acorns were bouncing off of our RV all day and night, but there was no wifi, and their DSL internet was only good for one device per site? The park was empty on our stay because they close up on October 15th, and we were there Sept. 25th-27th It might be really thriving between Memorial day and labor day? Price seemed awfully high for off season rates? - Vipermanden
Aug 2018 - $72.00
Fantastic park, especially if travelling with kids. Lots of room between sites. Rather large campground. Great general store. Also had a snack bar we did not use. Pool is large, clean, and was uncrowded when we were there. They also inflated a 30 foot high water slide and bounce house that my kids thought was great. The only problem, is at all with the park, is the seasonals right next to the river access points and they access was not clearly marked. Felt like we were tramping through someone's yard to get to the river. Everyone was very friendly. They guide you right to your site at check-in and make sure everything is to your expectations before leaving to guide the next camper. - nittanyguy
Jun 2017 - $60.00
This park was packed when we were here on a weekend. Most sites are seasonal but they are for the most part neat. Our site was a pull through, plenty long and all level concrete. Roads are curvy, hilly and tight. Biggest drawback are many golf carts. Roads are too narrow for them running around along with people walking and vehicles coming and going. I can see need for them if someone is disabled, but most could benefit from the walking. Only one wifi pass per unit. Cable and other utilities work well. Lots of shade in most sites. - padre
Sep 2017 - $18.00
FHU, 50 amp, pull-through site. 17 OTA TV stations available, excellent WIFI though the park is fairly empty since we arrived after Labor Day. Many seasonal rigs here and the roads are somewhat narrow and turns are a bit tight for our rig and towed vehicle but manageable. Staff was very helpful and friendly particularly warning us about using the printed directions in our Passport America book rather than GPS. Actual rate was $17.50 for the night. Site could use some leveling since it sloped to our left. All the picnic tables appear to be brand new. We would return if in the area. - Bob & Stephanie
Aug 2017 - $26.00
This was our first stay, traveled 2 hrs, campground had a lovely country feel even had Amish come in to set up bake goods, but staff hardly saw, but those I did, I didnt care for. Store assumed we knew where everything was. Someone I assume was staff spoke rudely to me and my 2 kids for sitting on playground riding animals that we had just taken a picture on - we will not return due to her rudeness. Had to buy a floor jack 1st night to level out our trailer because site was to unlevel. Power went out twice. Activity equipment was rundown or broken, no planned activites, fishing pond dirty, pool was nice but smokers. Store was basically obsolete. They need to update the place and their staff if they want to be a resort. No Thanks...what a shame. - mother 211
Aug 2017 - $18.00
Rest rooms were clean. Picnic tables were like new. Sites very close. A lot of permanent residents. Sites for overnighter are very unlevel. With my motor home I had One wheel off the ground due to the slope of the site. Well covered with trees. I was told I'd get satellite reception but I could not. Road coming in was very narrow. - PWMC58
Jun 2017 - $12.00
The Shenango Rec Area is a really nice facility. They don't try to pack them in, leaving nice private spaces between the sites. They offer electric in some sites but there are no full hookups available. Trash bins are located all through the campground and all the roads are nicely paved. My only complaint: The dogs. While most dogs were well behaved and quiet, one dog, just two sites over, barked incessantly. It was making us upset to the point we were going to report the owners but we didn't. We will use this campground again. A reminder to all seniors. June 30, 2017 ends the one-time $10.00 fee for a lifetime pass to all the national parks and most federal parks. The senior pass is good for the cardholder and three others in the vehicle. Our campground site at SRA was half price! - Have Camper-Will Travel
Jul 2016 - $12.00
Friendly staff, all that one expects from the Army Corp parks! Clean site, facilities. Senior pass rate always a welcome value.
OTA and Verizon both good. Stayed two nights and was so pleased I stayed another two.
Will be sure to return yet again. First come sites are great for travelers! - Wicked Witch
Jul 2016 - $24.00
This is an old Army Corps of Engineer campground that is in need of upgrading. Of the 321 sites, only 109 have 30 amp power. There is no 50 amp electric or water at the camp sites, however you may be lucky enough to have a site close to a water hydrant that you could tie into with a "Y" or "T" adapter. There is no sewer at any site although there is a dump station with two access points.
The electric sites are situated very close together. The non-electric sites are more spacious, especially those that back up to the water. Those are lovely sites if you want to/can boondock.
If you camp at an electric site, plan on taking leveling blocks with you as many will require side to side leveling. Also you may need blocks for your rear stabilizers because some of the sites "drop off" in the back.
The restrooms/showers are very old and need major refurbishing. The restrooms were clean and serviced regularly, we didn't use the showers.
The rates vary for the campground: Electric-$24.00; Lakefront non-electric-$21.00; Other not-electric0$19.00; and Multiple Family Site-$34.00. They do accept the "Golden Access" and "America the Beautiful Access" cards which gives you a 50% discount.
All in all, it is an okay campground and we will stay there again. - dmoore1108
Aug 2018 - $58.00
As most of the other reviewers have stated, and I agree, this is a beautiful campground. It is well maintained and every site is manicured and clean. It is easy to see that when the CG owners care, so do the people who stay, whether for one day or all season. During several long walks with the K9, I did not see one site that needed cleaning or updating. And being out in the country, the "sleepability" was excellent. It was peaceful and quiet at night. My only complaints, and they are not huge, is that there was no Wi-Fi the night we stayed, and I thought the rate was a tad high for a transient. The Wi-Fi was not a big deal for one night, but if we had stayed longer, it would have made a difference for us. No question, if in the area again, it will be Rocky Springs for us. - Love To Travel 2
Jul 2018 - $47.00
$47/ day FHU rock site with picnic table and firepit Pros Absolutely beautiful campground Sites are spacious and beyond well maintained Wildlife galore - loved watching groundhogs and chipmunks peak out of the forest Family owned and run - they really care about the campground and it shows Pool was the perfect temperature Nice camp store with last minute items/ice cream/souvenirs Clean restrooms Laundry available Cons WiFi was a pain - you have to log back in constantly Not within anyone's control but the deer flies were intense (early July) - hopalongrving
May 2018 - $45.00
This camp was a beautiful find!! The owners were extremely helpful and accommodating in every sense of the word. The cleanliness, scenic beauty, peace and serenity were tremendously comforting. Wish we lived a lot closer...we'd be there at every possible occasion! There was ample room to set up our trailer. Other units were visible, but the setting was simply idyllic & quiet, privacy was upheld beautifully. The road in to the campground is apparently part of an Amish community. We were surprised to see the horse & buggy traveling down the road. Lovely in every way. - donna mcfarland
Aug 2018 - $62.00
We stayed here for an weekend trip and picked this CG because of the proximity to Grove City Outlet Mall. Easy to get to the CG off of the Route 79 exit for the mall. Entire CG is gravel including all sites and roads. I see a lot of reviews about lot sizes being too small, which is true for some of the back-in sites. Most of the pull-thru sites in our section were very large. Our site was on the end and was very spacious and private. It was very quiet. It wasn't too difficult to get level on the site. The store was average and the pool area was a little on the small side, but serviceable. Dog park was very big. Most of the pathways are wood chips and I could see where heavy rains would affect them. They had several planned activities for kids but some of the amenities offered for playgrounds, bocce ball, ping pong need a little maintenance and updating. There were a lot of weeds growing in and around those areas. Staff was friendly but this CG appears to run only on the bare minimum number of staff with limited hours of operation for the office. We were escorted to our site as were most arrivals but I saw some that were not escorted. There appears to be several seasonal sites but golf carts are not allowed and that really keeps the noise and traffic down. Restrooms were above average, they were clean. Overall nothing spectacular about this CG but no issues, either. I would stay here again. - Big P-Daddy
Jul 2018 - $52.00
We arrived after a heavy rainstorm and our site was heavy flooded and soggy for 2 days and we were not able to change sites. Sites are gravel/dirt, with good distance between, grassy and some shade, however, the WiFi is poor and the park can be very smokey from everyone's fires even in extremely high daily temperatures. - KE Hogan
Jul 2018 - $56.00
We made online reservations before realizing how close we were to the campground; we arrived 30 minutes later and signed in without a hitch. We were also provided a value card, a rear view mirror hanger for our campsite, a map, and a very friendly welcome to the campground. We were then escorted to our campsite and assisted with backing into the site. The latrine facilities are clean and well kept... as are the grounds and other facilities. This stop is only our second on our maiden voyage and KOA has set the bar very high for future campgrounds. Our site was gravel without much shade; our stay is short so we don't mind. The campground store is well-stocked and was very useful - especially the 24-hour service on the laundry. Good value for the money and highly recommended by us IF you happen to be in the neighborhood. Yes, it is a bit tricky getting here, but the final destination is well worth the challenge of the journey. - Erl J
