Overall Rating:

If coming from the Pa Turnpike, use the directions provided by the campground that goes to Rt 743 and turns right on Market St. My 36 ft travel trailer negotiated that route no problem (follow the KOA signs). The campground is clean and the owners and staff are absolutely top notch. I bought discount tickets for Hershey online that had to be printed and since I was at the campground I had no way of doing that. The staff took care of that for me. They provided a shuttle to Hershey Park and back which was very welcome not requiring me to drive and park there. I would definitely stay here again. We camped at Elizabethtown / Hershey KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed 2 nights in July 2019 in a "Full Hookup/PullThru" site. Paid $65.25/night ($72.50/night less 10% KOA ValueKard discount). There were no additional fees or taxes. If you're big or tall, suggest using Newville Road to go between 230 and Turnpike Rd. This is as opposed to using the GPS result which is the combo of Bossler/Zeagler/Deodate/Toll House streets. If you happen to use the GPS method, it is do-able for big rigs. You'll just have extra hill-and-dale country road diving. I love the KOA online reservation system and was happy to get into this park at the last minute (we landed in the area for an unexpected repair issue). Check in was easy. Office staff was pleasant. The grounds are very pretty and clean. Site was a long, gravel pull through with better-than-average space between rigs. Hook ups were placed well and worked perfectly. Clear sky for DirecTV satellite signal in our section. There are lots of trees in other sections so I imagine not all sites have clear sky. You might call the office if this is important to you. They offer cable with 28 channels but we did not use it. Verizon voice and data worked well. Did not try their wifi. Did not use amenities but they looked nice. Campground store was large, organized and likely to have anything you might need including a good selection of souvenir items. Very quiet and dark at night for restful sleeping. A few gripes - 1. Park brochure has ENTIRE front page FILLED with "Park Etiquette & Rules". I find that a bit off-putting. Normally it's the inside, back cover or on a separate sheet. 2. I specifically asked our escort about trees because we are tall (13'0"). He assured me all was fine. We brushed FOUR different tree branches going to site (no damage done). I made escort aware and he immediately had someone trimming. 3. Site was unlevel side-to-side so much so that our auto level system couldn't level without manual override. Overall this is a nice park and we would consider staying again. We camped at Elizabethtown / Hershey KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

1. Cummins in Harrisburg is awesome. 2. Recommend the free 30 minute tour of the PA Capitol building. It is magnificent and widely agreed to be the prettiest capitol bldg in the U.S. 3. Get a Groupon for the National Civil War Museum. Nice museum with cool artifacts including Lincoln's hat box and Stonewall Jackson's gauntlet. 4. Given the area has mostly 2-lane roads plus some traffic, it takes longer to get places than you might expect (i.e. 20 miles could easily be 45 minutes).

Tips for other Campers:

Go to towns of Columbia and Marietta. Great paved bike trail along the susquehanna river and Columbia had a great restaurant with a real old fashioned soda fountain.

Tips for other Campers:

Trip to Hershey was very disappointing. Unless you are under 10 or traveling with someone under 10, don't bother to go to Chocolate World. We paid 43.00 per adult for four kiddie rides/show. There is no factory tour (another kiddie ride). All it is is a big store to buy Hershey products.

My wife and I stayed with our two dogs in a back in gravel site with full hook up (W-S-E 30a) plus cable, wi-fi, firepit, and picnic table. Due to the time of year we were there the park was not full but quite a few campers. The staff was friendly, courteous, and helpful. Those campers nearby were respectful of others property and very friendly. There were some deluxe sites with a grill, patio, swing, and chairs with a plastic picnic table instead of wood. Interior roads were gravel and on going work was to add camp sites and landscape surroundings. We camped at Elizabethtown / Hershey KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Excellent campground. Staff was very friendly. We only stayed one night so we didn't use any of the facilities, but the campground has a lot including mini golf, dog parks, and a fishing pond. We had no trees so Satellite was no problem and we had good TMobile service. We camped at Elizabethtown / Hershey KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Typical high-priced KOA. This was the first KOA I've been to that did not offer a military discount. What irked me the most was charging $6 per person for guests who were joining us for a cookout. I could understand the fee if they were staying for the day and using the pool and other facilities, but my guests stayed for maybe 1.5 hours max and did not leave our site. Grounds were well-maintained with grass well-trimmed and watered. Very little dust from the gravel roads. Even though the area had experienced heavy rain and flooding just the week before, there was no standing water anywhere in the campground. Garbage was picked up daily on-site. We camped at Elizabethtown / Hershey KOA in a Motorhome.

Stayed here six nights last week of September - this is by far one of the best campgrounds we have stayed at this year. The campground was very clean and well maintained - no trash, no weeds, no ruts in roads. The bathrooms are the best I think I have ever seen - cleaned daily and plenty of hot water. Even with the campground just about full on the weekend, the staff kept up with the bathrooms. Plenty of activities for the kids as well. Would highly recommend. We camped at Elizabethtown / Hershey KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed 4 nights to attend the Hershey RV show and Hershey Chocolate Factory. Follow the KOA sign, turn right, at junction N. Hanover & N. Market St. and avoid going thru town. Check-in confusing due to new work camper manning check-in. Owner/wife took care of situation and made it right. Family run CG with great customer service skills. CG is in a beautiful location in great shape, clean, mowed/fertilized grass, utilities and cable worked well. Garbage pickup onsite. Road leading up to registration is paved. Interior roads are easy to navigate with a 43' motorhome, gravel and well maintained. Our site was in a terraced area, PT FHU, gravel, with fire ring, picnic table and level in partial shade with good spacing. CG offers a free shuttle to RV show and Hershey factory with several morning and evening departures and pickups. Pool was closed for season. Did not use bath facilities but looked clean. Would stay here again rather than closer to Show or factory. We camped at Elizabethtown / Hershey KOA in a Motorhome.

We stayed over Labor Day weekend in a 35 foot Class A. Extremely cleaned and well groomed landscaping. The staff takes great pride in maintaining the landscaping and grounds. Plenty of room in between each site. Bring a fishing rod - they have a pond out front with plenty of panfish and 10-12 inch bass. License not required since it is a private pond. Tips for other Campers:

If approaching from Elizabethtown (east of the campground) be aware that there are two bridges to choose from to get to the campground. One was 13' 3" and the other 13'6'. Their website discusses this under directions to their campground. Approaching from the west off of 441 was not an issue. It is recommended that if choosing the 13'6" bridge to travel through the middle - it is an arch and is only 36 feet long. The lower bridge is flat.

A clean, well-run RV park with many spacious sites. Events for families scheduled throughout the weekend; and daily shuttle service to Hersheypark is available. The nightly rate is rather expensive and the 11:30 a.m. checkout time is earlier than most parks in the area. We called before making our reservation and were able to snag a site on the end of a row - you're unable to specify that on the KOA website. Utilities were solid and the staff was very friendly. We camped at Elizabethtown / Hershey KOA in a Motorhome.

This park is a bit of a drive off the interstate, but worth it. Two laned paved road to park is a little hilly, but go slow and it is fine. Very pretty park with excellent maintenance. Some really nice patio sites and roomy sites with light shade. Good cable, but satellite is accessible on a number of the sites. We had a super nice long pull thru site. One of the best dog parks I have seen which is important to us on longer trips with our puppy. We camped at Elizabethtown / Hershey KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
