This was our second visit to this campground. It is one of my favorite campgrounds in Pennsylvania. It is immaculately maintained. The bath house/laundry facilities are the cleanest I've ever seen. It has the feel of being recently updated. The sites are gravel and are very level. We styed in the "Big Rig" section. The sites there are very spacious and open. There is one small between sites and the sites are separated by grass. Which my dog loves, no walking on sharp gravel. The fact that there is no shade was not a problem for us but if you were there in the middle of summer that could be a problem. The connections were conveniently located to the camper. We had full hook ups. Water pressure was good and electrical was stable. Sewer connection was low to the ground and convenient. We were there for the annual balloon fest which is just down the road. The balloons even flew right over the campground. So, would we stay here again? Answer: We already booked our stay for next year. We camped at Country Acres Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Excellent place to stay. The staff is great. Sewer is in a good location and low to the ground. A lot to do near by. Tanger outlet about 5 miles away. Hersey park about 20 miles. We camped at Country Acres Campground in a Motorhome.

We agree with everything stated in the previous review, which gives a very good overview of the park and the amenities. Overall, a very clean park with lots of well maintained landscaping - very well done. We arrived in the recent 95 degree heat wave and were placed in a site in the blazing sun. We were able to move to a shady site after the first day and that was a big relief. The campground is located in a very touristy area, so there is lots to do and see. Unfortunately, it is landlocked if you don't have a car, which we do not. Once checked in, even our bikes were useless, as the traffic on Rt 30 is not safe for biking, and there are no sidewalks for walking anywhere. They advertise a free area tour, but you have to drive to their "sister location" 3-4 miles away to catch the tour bus. Their suggestion, "call an Uber". Having said that, we enjoyed just relaxing and hanging around the facility for the days we were here. We camped at Country Acres Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Pretty park that backs up to Amish farmland with a mix of 30 and 50 amp back in and pull through FHU spaces with cable, W/E sites with or without cable, primitive tent sites and cabins. All sites are gravel. Interior roads are also gravel and easy enough to navigate but are narrow in places. We stayed in site 890, a back in site which was mostly level but on the short side, leaving little room for our tow vehicle. To get to our section, we had to go down a narrow one-way road and wait for campers to back into their spaces and unhook before we could pass. Narrow gated entry/exit which only allows for one vehicle at a time coming and going, so you have to back up if another rig/vehicle is coming in or out. Newer section (sites 920-938) has longer, wider sites which are more spacious, but is mostly open with little shade. However, this section, along with sites 801-820 are closest to Route 30 which is quite busy and loud. Sites 801-818 are very short and would not be appropriate for big rigs. Park has a very nice pool with two sections, one for kids with a zero entry/splash pad and is very shallow, and the other side which is 5 feet deep. There is also a cute playground, dog park, volleyball/rec field and large pavilion. Bathroom/shower/laundry building in our section was nice and clean, but was VERY hot (either no a/c or it just wasn't running). Ditto for the main bathhouse and laundry area next to the pool. Office/store onsite which sells gifts, snacks, ice, rv supplies, milk, ice cream, etc. Utilities worked well however we could not get the cable to work at our site. Maintenance said there were no problems on their end. We hooked up our cable to the site next to us and it worked perfectly. Manager loaned us a splitter for this purpose which was much appreciated! She also gave us the Good Sam discount even though our membership had expired. Free wifi but we didn't use. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would return. We camped at Country Acres Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Probably one of the nicest CGs I've stayed in. Park is well designed and sites are superbly landscaped. Convenient to many tourist attractions, such as Sight and Sounds Theatre. Will stay here anytime we're in the area. The staff made arrangements for me to check-in early, as we had tickets to the mid-afternoon show at Sight and Sounds. Beautifully cared for park. Bath house has great tile work and is very clean. Nice fenced in dog park. Pool was not yet opened, but looks to be a nice size. Our site overlooked an Amish farm. Could hear the road noise of the passing vehicles on RT 30. Reservation includes a free 2 hour bus tour of Amish country. We camped at Country Acres Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Close by outlet shopping at Rockvale and Tanger Outlets. Farmer's Market and antiques in Bird-in-Hand just a few miles away. For pizza and Italian, check out Pizza City in Strasburg and for good old-fashioned home cooking visit Katie's Kitchen near Strasburg. In the spring check out the local fire department Mud Sale auctions.

This is our go to park when in the area. Very clean, grounds well maintained. Site level. Small trees on site. We stayed in a back-in site in the front part of the campground, corn field behind us. Only complaint is the WiFi way not good. We could get on but when tried to go to a web site, it just kept searching. I went to the office and told a gentleman, he was surprised about this but nothing changed the 10 days we were there. We will stay again on our return trip. We stayed 10 days. Beautiful campground. Extremely clean and well maintained. Their bathrooms are the cleanest we've ever had. Nice roomy showers with great water pressure. The pool and deck were spotless too. The sites are a little small and narrow. Big enough to use slide outs & awnings, but had to park our tow vehicle across the front of site along the road. This was our second stay here and we will definitely be going back We camped at Country Acres Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed in the new section across from the pool. Everything was new and the pool/bath house was great. Cable was very good with around 70 channels. We stayed in a pull thru site. The site was large enough to park three vehicles. Our daughters visited with our grandchildren and the costs for extra guests was very minimal. We have been full timing for 14 years. This is the most well-kept RV park that we have found. The sites are spacious and level. There is gravel throughout the grounds and the interior roads are wide and easily navigated. The shower and restroom facilities are immaculate. There is a good-sized swimming pool and a small doggy park. Our site had plenty of room, had excellent facilities, and was wide open for satellite reception. The WIFI was consistent and reasonably fast. The location of the campground is just off a very busy route 30. The main roads - at least during the time of our stay - were surprisingly congested. But things quiet down quickly on the back roads where you must be aware of the Amish buggies. I am reluctant to give the campgrounds we visit a 10 rating. This one is an exception! We camped at Country Acres Campground in a Motorhome.

We were very pleased. Staff was friendly, the site was level and had some shade (It was a VERY hot week), and the pool was perfect for our 2 young granddaughters. There was a small playground and sites were well spaced. The fact that there is no seasonal camping is a plus. Nice family friendly place. We camped at Country Acres Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
