If you are looking for a spacious, wooded campsites then Spring Gulch is for you. All the elite sites are among the best you will find of any campground. The rest rooms are very clean and well maintained, the pool and hot tub were left open due to unseasonably warm weather. The campground sponsored activities each night, including their Thanksgiving in October. The location in the Welsh Mountains is one of the best location in all of Lancaster County. - dadseven
Jul 2019 - $65.00
We stay in here every year for just under a week next to our friends in the 1500 section. The staff could not be friendlier or the park cleaner. Plenty of room for our 45ft coach and full hookups. - WMSmith
Jul 2019 - $86.00
Very nice park, eaay access to spacious sites. A bit expensive at $86 a night. Golf cart rentals by an outside vendor at nearly $100 a day so be prepared. We will definetly stay here again. - Mgee

Let me start by saying the people working at this RV park were very friendly and helpful. It's a very large park with around half of its spots occupied by seasonal campers. The park itself is built into a steep hill and that's where the problems began. When we arrived they escorted us to our site only to find that is was impossible to back into with our 36' 5th wheel due to the extreme slope and trees on 3 sides of the site. Management quickly found us another site which was not much better but was all they could offer. The roads in the park are very narrow and while heading to the new site we scraped a tree that obviously had been struck many times. Our new site was very large but the entrance was almost completely blocked by a giant boulder. After several attempts we got in. As I said the roads in the park are very narrow and pocked with pot holes. There are many rock islands where 2 roads meet making turning difficult. On the good side, Halloween is very big in this park and they had a great hayride and haunted house. The park needs to improve their roads and remove a lot of trees. While the staff was great I would not stay here again. - TED JURY
Oct 2019 - $50.00
Arrival and check-in was smooth. Staff were available to assist with questions and directions to site. This is primarily a gravel lined site for motor homes, but fortunately a overnight spot was available for tents. Positives were staff courtesy, cleanliness, laundry, activities for kids, fire pit and picnic table at the site. Hiking trails were not in great shape but I don't believe many take to the trails. - outsideismyinside
Oct 2019 - $50.00
We stayed during their Halloween Weekend. There were many activities, including hayrides and a haunted house. We enjoyed seeing the kids trick ot treating. The check-in was quick and easy. The staff was very helpful in making sure we got to the site and settled. Our site had a full hook-up, including cable. Cable picture quality was not great. The OTA quality was good, but there were very few channels. AT&T cell signal strength was weak. Overall, we enjoyed the weekend and will probably return. - BillU8

My wife and I stayed here mid of Oct 2019. We found this to be an excellent campground. The staff were polite and very helpful. The location is well placed to see and enjoy all that Lancaster County offers. When entering I was put off by the entrance gate which is behind the building and not immediately visible. It looked tight but I was able to get my 42' fifth wheel thru without any difficulty. Full hookup site was very spacious. Mostly level, but I did use more blocks on my door side. - Bob and Karen
Oct 2019 - $1.00
We stayed at site S1, which was right on the river. This was our first outing with our new camper and the staff were exceptional in helping us to get us into the site and settled. The park was clean and we had no issues with the facilities. AT&T signal was excellent. OTA TV was poor at our site. - BillU8
Jun 2019 - $1.00
This place is pretty crowded with the FHU sites all around each other. It is surrounded by the Conestoga River so there is not much land around for trails. We took a site along the main road and there is not a lot of room for the truck. WiFi is sketchy, have to pay for cable but got the best OTA stations with antenna toward Harrisburg. The water quality is good; electric good. Lots of activities such as pool, basketball, etc. There are sites along the river, but they are just W/E. There is a large ball field down near the river to let the dogs loose to get some exercise. There is a trail along the river. - Kerch Family

We stayed here well after the main tourist season, so many sites were open. Most of the sites are workers or seasonal. Some were well kept, not not all. The restrooms were ok, but very musty smelling. The day before we had to leave, the management directed another 5th wheel to park right in front of us while we were out. There was no way we could hook up, so they had to move the next morning so we could get out. We chose this campground mostly because of it's proximity to the Philadelphia airport. Otherwise, I wouldn't stay here again. - Ralph Pinney

The check-in process was very painful/slow - it is clear they cater to seasonal site folks, and do not have many (if any) weekenders. 98% of the campground is seasonals - some are OK, most are very dirty, run-down, and trailer-park-ish, very few are nice. Their cancellation policy is the worst I have ever seen - basically forcing you to lose money if you need to cancel. Kids activities were OK, folks running them were rude, and you could tell they cater to seasonal folks. I would not go back. - Lspajm
Apr 2013 - $44.00
Arrived after office closed - no instructions for late arrivals but all 'visitor' sites empty (site seems to be mainly residential)so no trouble setting up. All sites have sewer connections despite some being marked 'water & electric only'. Very old shower block: cold and drafty. Showers have to be held on constantly to get water. Wi-fi might be available but password required at additional charge! $44/nt for very basic provision. There are better, smarter RV Parks in the area - better positioned for exploring Amish country. - UK RV'ers
Sep 2012 - $50.00
Spent Labor Day weekend here and had a very nice time, they are slowly fixing the place up still some rough looking seasonals that need some cleaning up and the bath house is not that large they could really use an upgrade there but things take time. They did upgrade some of their sites with upgraded electric and also sewer and also graded some other sites so in time I am sure things will improve. We will return. - DBLR

The park was clean we got there just after a storm came through so the weather wasn't very good. We got there a little late they waited for us. It was a nice place to camp for the weekend. I would stay again. There road ways are all paved. But it was late in the season so everything was closed up. But we were there for a Company Picnic some where else so it was a good place to camp for the weekend. - ztoymaker
Jul 2016 - $30.00
My husband and I stayed in a popup camper on 4th of July weekend. We had to arrive late, they were fine with it. We got a pull-through site. We forgot a few things but their little supply store had everything we needed. They do have a $10 minimum for cards though. The sites were nicely spaced and clean. The "quiet time" was 11 pm. We didn't hear a peep after then which was very nice. They had plenty of activities to do so you weren't bored. The fireworks on July 4th were AWESOME! The downsides were the narrow roads, WiFi was only available at the Office area and the map was a little hard to read at first but other than that it was great. We will definitely be back! - NKatieA
Sep 2014 - $49.00
Overall a good CG and well kept. Although we had a very good stay, I took a couple points off for minor annoyances. All sites are gravel with lots of trees and grassy areas for tents. The pool is only open 10-5 which I thought was silly if a person is out doing tourist stuff during the day and wants to relax by the pool in the evening. Most of the roads are narrow and curvy so you may want to walk to your assigned spot first to ensure you can make it. During the weekend there are a lot of tent campers, kids, and dogs but everyone adhered to noise hours. There are a lot of full-timers and some of those spots look rather trashy which initially cast a negative outlook to our decision to stay there. - Goodcruisin

Oct 2019 - $58.00
Stayed two nights while exploring Lancaster County. This is a very nice, clean campground located on the side of the valley overlooking beautiful farmland. Like most commercial campgrounds, the sites are side by side with few trees, but the sites are relatively level, well graveled and the facilities are clean. The park is central to Amish country and close enough to Hersey and other sites of interest. We enjoyed out stay there. - Buddy Ray

The campground is well maintained and naturally beautiful. We stayed in a Red carpet site and it was outstanding. All wooded sites are private. We had family members camping with us in TTs and a tent. The tent site (T13) was horrible. It was on a steep hill. The electric pole was near the fire ring, causing my sister to drape her electric extension cord over the fire pit to reach her tent. After the weekend crowd cleared out, she requested a different site and was able to move but had to pay an additional amount. This was our only issue - this tent site should not be used, however, it was a great place to find worm bait for fishing in the lake! The lake is stocked with fish and easily accessed. The campground has many activities, an onsite cafe with great food and many unique totem pools located throughout. We had a huge angel next to our site. Indoor and outdoor pools are well maintained for full season swimming. Our wooded site had lots of hickory nuts falling and a dead branch fell and punched a 2" hole in our roof. Trees bring a certain amount of risk which we accept as opposed to being in an open field. We look forward to returning next year! - LAFinn
Aug 2019 - $80.00
Lots of activities for kids but not big rig friendly for long 5th wheels. Plus the park wasn’t wired properly. Trees need trimmed and the roads need widened. If your rig is over 30’ this is not the place for you. Satellite did t work in our site due to tall trees. - KSTraveler
May 2019 - $68.00
This is an older campground that has recently been taken over by Sun RV resorts. Ice cream and mini golf are reasonably priced. The pool is small and not enough chairs. The bathrooms are clean but dark and dated. We camp here every year for the Memorial Day holiday. They show an outdoor movie which is a fun event for everyone; you can watch from your golf cart or bring blankets and chairs. Sites are shaded and have some privacy due to the established trees in between sites. There is an RV area with out trees which might be good for spring and fall camping. There is a pond for fishing, plenty of open space for baseball, frisbee, etc. People need to be respectful of others and pick up after their dogs when walking their dogs in the play area. The staff is welcoming and friendly. There are boats for rent. There are a lot of seasonal units; most are very well maintained. The golf carts get a little out of hand....lots of near misses, driving at night with no lights, speeding, etc. Parents seem to let their kids (under age ) drive the golf carts and they have little control or don't know the rules of the road. We rode our bikes to travel around the campground but most campers seem to use the golf carts or walk. They sell Hershey Ice Cream. Very good! Kids seem to enjoy this campground. Lots of family activities. - User3758

We had a wonderful time camping at Oak Creek. We camped in a 27 foot travel trailer. The park is a beautiful park in a beautiful setting. The ladies working at the desk and in the store were very helpful and friendly. This campground has a wonderful family atmosphere. We camped on site #264. The site was level and had good space. It was a little challenging getting out when we left. There is a sharp left turn at the top of the hill and a sharp ridge to get over. The biggest struggle was getting our front sewer pipe to clear the ridge as we went over. There are two main reasons my rating is not a 9 or 10. The first is the $20 per person per night charge for more than two people. We had my 18 year old son with us so our site was actually $75 per night. When my daughter came up for one night to stay with us she was an additional $20 per night. I believe that price is way too high. The second reason for my rating is that in my opinion the best feature of this campground is their creekside camping. Before Adventure Bound took over we camped creekside several times. Now that AB has taken over all the sites that will accommodate a trailer over 25 feet long have been converted to seasonal sites. Its their campground and they can do what they want but I wish they would reserve a few of those creekside sites for non seasonal trailers that are longer than 25 feet. - Big Guy 395
Jul 2019 - $55.00
We have been camping here on July 4th weekend for the past few years. Unfortunately, the sites that we really like have now become permanents. There are now about 5 sites in the whole campground to choose from that will fit our trailer. We did have a nice site though a bit tricky to get into. We have a deluge of rain with a river running right through our site the first night. Fortunately, it dried up quickly. We continue to enjoy the golf cart parade where about 50 patriotically decorated golf carts or more line up to drive through the campground. This is always a lot of fun!! The staff is friendly as are the permanents you run into. We didn't use the pool this weekend--too crowded and we ventured out both days. There are a lot of big hills so if you do not get a site on the bottom near the stream, I do highly recommend spending the extra money to rent a golf cart. We do plan on returning again as we always have fun. - autismmom

Came here based on prior reviews, and pics of the pool (our 7yo was excited about the big slides!) Called for reservations only a week in advance, so sites were limited... But we got a site not far from the pool and office/store area. Pluses: - the pool: large, clean, big tubular slides, plenty of deck area with large amts of seating - pretty creek by the office/pool area, with sites available on it (mostly seasonal from what I could tell) - well-stocked store, with actual penny candy & lots of choices for munchies - did not experience any unfriendly staff Minuses: - Very hilly. There is a lower area, and then a steep winding road up to an upper area. Almost no flat places on the whole site, except right by the creek. - Sites packed close together, with little/no trees etc between sites. - Many noisy gas golf carts buzzing around at night, up until quiet hours start at 11pm. (Although it's probably the best way to get around the hilly terrain.) Probably won't return, too hilly/noisy/crowded for our tastes, with better cg options nearby. (It's a very pretty area, though, so glad we visited.) - Will Dennis

We had a beautiful site. Lots of trees/foliage, and very near the creek. The problem was the parks interior roads for big rigs. This park is said to be able to handle big rigs, but there are a few big trouble spots that could be remedied by the owners. We have a 40 foot Motorhome. There was a tight turn to get to our site with a large plastic drainage pipe (with ditch next to the road) which is across from 2 trees close to the road. You have to do a 3 point turn to get by them. The bigger problem came with how we were supposed to exit. Many, many potholes and a deep ditch that are not good for a low bottom big rig to pass over. The potholes can twist and crack your frame. Coming out of that ditch can bottom out the back end, causing much fiberglass damage (we speak from $8K experience). We struggled to turn the rig around to exit the way we came in to avoid those potholes and deep ditch. The roads in have miles of low branches that hit the top or scratch the sides as you pass. It's only two lanes and with many hills so you can't ride the middle to avoid them. When I mentioned it to the owner upon arrival, she got defensive and said, "The town can't keep up. Pennsylvania is a jungle. You just have to go slow." Slow scratches are exactly the same as fast scratches. It is a beautiful park. Everyone is very friendly. If the park roads were repaired, and trees were trimmed along the route in, it would be darn near perfect. A little remote though You have to do some driving to get to stores. - Diane and Tom

Clientele is made up by mostly seasonal campers - their sites are bit junky. Grounds are well kept, swimming pool looked clean and inviting. The camp host are friendly and very helpful. This is our second time and probably not our last - as we have friends close by. The Brandywine Creek is of a historical interest to some and beautiful woodlands surround the park. oWater pressure is on the low side but do-a-ble. - bobbodean

Many seasonal campers, but also room for travelers. Nice location along the Brandywine Creek. I saw ducks, geese, and blue herons during my stay. - Woody48
