30 amp, FHU, pull-through site. Analog cable TV included. Our phone hot spots worked well here. We were one row removed from the park boundary which adjoins the PA Turnpike so it was very noisy most of the day and part of the night. If you were in a tent or soft sided rig of some kind it could be a real problem area for you. The picnic tables were atrocious, the most disgustingly dirty we've seen in many years mainly due to mold and mildew. At the prices they charge here you would expect cleaner tables. Except for the office personnel, we found the campground workers to be condescending and smart alecks. We will not return. We camped at Pinch Pond Family Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

We liked this park. it is conveniently located off the highway. Reasonably close to both Hershey tour and Shady Maple buffet. We stayed here for a few days mid week. We called ahead when we were a few hours out and they were able to get us in to a 50 amp pull through. We were met at the gate and escorted to our spot. They preferred that we drop the Toad prior to parking. Road were easy to navigate with our 35' MH. The site was gravel. Water, sewer and cable were all good quality. Even the wifi worked well. the fire rings are oddly placed near the front corner of the site. There seem to be a large number of seasonal or sites to the rear of property. we stayed near the front by the pool. The pool was not heated but it was plenty warm in early august. The bath house was clean and did not have hot water. The water was warm and acceptable for a shower, But not a hot shower. The gun club is on one side and the turnpike was on the other. We noticed the Turnpike more than the gun club. My wife didn't even notice the gun club until i said something about it. Kids enjoyed the playground and pool. We would stay here again if passing through the area. ATT, Sprint and T-mobile all had strong signal and data. We camped at Pinch Pond Family Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Hershey is about 30 minutes away. Shady Maple Dutch buffet is about 40 minutes away. Pennsylvania has odd beer/wine laws. Beer can be purchased at bars or a distributor, Mary's Cheers just up the road sells beer to go. Wine and Liquor are only available at State run stores that close at 9PM.

Really nice campground with friendly people. We camped in a Hybrid, and because of proximity to the PA turnpike we heard traffic (especially the trucks) all night long. Hard sided trailers and MotorHomes probably won't be bothered by this, but be aware renters and those in pop ups and expandables. We camped at Pinch Pond Family Campground & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

As previous reviewers stated, there is on one side of the campground is the PA Pike and the other side is a gun club. The staff is very accommodating and helpful. There is a playground for the kids and a pool that is very nice and clean. They have Hershey's ice cream in the office but the office closes at 6pm. I would think that they would stay open till 7:30 or 8. There is no WiFi at this campground. The turns can be tight and some of the trees have limbs that hank low. It's OK for a one nighter. Cable TV is available. Not far from Lancaster and Hershey. We camped at Pinch Pond Family Campground & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

As other reviewers have pointed out, this campground sits between the PA Turnpike and a gun club. If you're looking for a quiet campground, this isn't it. It was easy to get to and navigate around with our 45' motorhome. The sites look fairly level in the section we stayed in. Water pressure wasn't great so when we wanted to shower we switched to our water pump and then just refilled our fresh water tank. We camped at Pinch Pond Family Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire is very close by making this an ideal campground if you don't mind noise (or have a white noise machine). Hershey is also a short distance away with Hershey Park, chocolate factory tour, and the American Antique Car Association museum.

This is a large campground with many seasonal sites. We had a 30AMP F/U pull through site which was level and mainly gravel -very little grass. They do have analog cable. Cell service was fair - we have Verizon. You must pre pay in full 60 days prior to arrival. There is a gun club on one side of the campground and the turnpike is located near by also. So you have noise from both. There is a nice state park up the road where we took our dogs for a walk. They escort you to your site and then you go to the office to check in. They also have gate cards for you. This is a good half point from Hershey or Lancaster (Shady Maples Area). They have activities on the weekend for kids to do. Some staff very helpful. We camped at Pinch Pond Family Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a big family campground. As it was Spring Break and Easter weekend there were lots of kids. Kids were good, but parents stayed outside making noise until well after midnight, even though quiet hours are explained at check-in as beginning at 10:30pm. We were on site 344 which was high and dry, so when it rained there wasn't any issues. Very wooded so grass doesn't grow. Therefore mostly roots and mud at the sites. Pad was gravel which was fine. Lots of space between sites. Had to put a brick on hose to hold sewer hose in. Convenient to Hershey. We camped at Pinch Pond Family Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

The staff was more than helpful as we were running a little (two days) late and they accommodated us and changed our reservation. Bathrooms were really clean and even heated so showering was really nice. The store had a lot of options even in the off-season and the female staff member was really nice and a good conversationalist. We will definitely return. Campground is dated. Bathrooms absolutely need an update. We were there simply because it was the closest campground to the Hershey area that wasn't booked. Sewer connections ran uphill from the trailer. Site was nowhere close to level. We wouldn't go again. We camped at Pinch Pond Family Campground & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

We made our reservation Sep 13, 2017 online for Thanksgiving 2017. The online reservation program and Pinch Ponds own website made no mention of water being turned off for winter. We thought we would have full hook-ups as stated on the reservation confirmation. Even when we arrived, the staff didn't mention that the water had been turned off. We didn't know there was no water until after the RV was leveled, slides were out and I went to hook up the water. I completely understand the need to turn off the water and winterize certain areas of campgrounds - that is certainly not the issue. The issue is that we were not notified ahead of time. The staff was able to run a hose to our site so that we could fill our tank. We made the best of it and didn't let it ruin our Thanksgiving. As far as the Campground goes, it has a mixture of seasonal and nonseasonal. Some of the seasonal sites are rundown and messy. Our site was sloped to driver's side and we had to put the wheels on blocks to get the auto level to work properly. Trash dumpster was overflowing. Office/store building was nice, but other buildings were run down and in need of repair. Most likely will not return due to inadequate communication from the staff, noise from I-76 and an adjoining shooting range (even Thanksgiving day, range was active). We camped at Pinch Pond Family Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This is a nice family campground. The layout can be confusing due to the number of roads and the fact that there are 3-4 camping areas. There are many long-term campers and many campsites under construction. The upper pull-thru sites are very nice and reasonably level. The 'woods' sites are a bit tricky to access. The restroom near the office could use some updating. The showers are separate free-standing units separated by curtains only. The new restroom and shower area nearest the road is very nice but the showers themselves are not very spacious. The office/store is well-stocked. There are a lot of activities available for every age group. The roads could use some attention due to washed-out areas. There is plenty of shade for most campsites. It is relatively close to all the area attractions. It is close to the Pennsylvania Pike but there is little highway noise. Would return if we were in the area again. We camped at Pinch Pond Family Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
