Easy off and on to highway. Friendly staff and easy check in. Small camp store. Level site. Shady. Dump station was awkward to get to. We were travelling though and happened to be there for Halloween activities. Lots of decor and fun things for the kids. Gas at exit. Walmart and lots of shopping and restaurants 1 exit north. Lots of seasonal sites but they are separated from travelers. - Jan Orlando
May 2018 - $21.00
Arrived late because of a flat tire all paper work was waiting and they even upgraded our site. Very easy in and out and will stop again when in the area. - toytowner

Well, we arrived Friday at 8 o'clock, unhooked and got a fire going. My 17 son took the golf cart out for a ride around the campground. So he came back in 10 mins and behind him came 3 golf carts all being staff including the owner. He didn't even say hi. All he said, as he got into my face, this golf cart you have may not be used in this campground. I did not say a word as he said again this golf cart may not leave the site. He said no gas-powered carts are allowed. As all three of there carts are gas powered. The way he handled it in front of my family was extremely rude. Anyways rules are rules. I just didn't know that was a rule, he could have been a lot nicer...Campground itself is very close together as sites are on top of each other... If you wanna fish in there fishless pond you have to pay 5 bucks a person. What a joke!!!! Sites are not level either. Would not recommend. - Harrison jones

Only 4 miles off I-78 and easy to navigate. For your first trip, disconnect your toad at the top of the hill just before the park entrance. (The roads are steep inside the park). The park is located in a very beautiful part of Pennsylvania and very convenient to the Kutztown and Allentown areas. It was very convenient to have free cable TV. This is an Encore property and part of the "Trails Collection" offering. Lots for the kids to do. Friendly staff. - Todd Fogelberg

First Impression: Too far out in the country for a stop-over CG. Many seasonal sites that look nice. CG buildings appear to be aged farm buildings (wood rot, deteriorating). Safety: No concerns. Access: Exit 40 off I-78, turned north on PA-787, immediate left onto Old Route 22. Right on Donat Rd, straight on Little Round Top Rd, to Robin Hill Rd that puts you in the CG. Old Route 22 in poor condition. Garmin GPS is accurate. Office: Nice store with snacks, food items, souvenirs, RV equipment items. Credit cards accepted. Online reservations available through RVontheGO. No price discounts. Facilities: Pool and big game room ($). Small, clean laundry room. Restrooms near office need restoration. They're outdated, have mold, and need a deep cleaning. The men's room smells like an outhouse. Propane sales. Multiple playground areas. No off-leash dog run. Campground: In a flood plain (stream). Wooden buildings might not survive a storm. Moderately wooded. Interior roads are narrow, dirt/gravel and asphalt in good condition with gentle turns and no overhead obstacles. Mostly seasonal sites. Big rig challenging and long coaches might have maneuvering problems. Tent areas, no yurts but cabins are available. Sites vary from close to secluded (seasonals), sufficiently level, grass/dirt/gravel, all back-in. Pedestals at middle of site with electric 20/30/50; metered for long-term. Adequate water pressure with good taste. No sewer; "FHU" means using a bladder lying on the ground. Mine was smashed - unusable. No patios; usable picnic tables. Fire rings. Marginal satellite views (trees). Free cable TV (34 channels). Tengonet Wi-Fi but limited range. Verizon phone and 4G at 1-2 bars. No recycle bins. Noise: Some CG road traffic - minimal. Bug Report (late July): biting flies. Runners: CG roads good for running. Yoga: put your mat on the grass if so inclined. Conclusion: Score 5-Acceptable. IMO: overpriced. CG charges $4 "resort fee" per day. - StephenK

Pretty much a park for annuals, about 90%. There are a few open sites for passers through. Our site was weird to figure out; we parked the trailer on the grass with our site itself gravel. Big enough for the truck as well. Our section was up a huge hill but level on top. FHU site; water quality is good; electric good. Verizon coverage is OK and the park offers cable, which is nice. Pretty big park with a couple of playgrounds, swimming pool, activity center. Have not found a place to let the dogs loose though; there are lots of farms in the area. - Kerch Family

Wi-fi internet is for all intentional purposes, useless. No sewer hookups. One dump station. Big sites, good spacing between sites. Good clean Christian run park. Rules enforced for noise. Great kids park. Nice heated pool, playground, dog friendly, game room. Plenty to do in the area. Close to Cabelas. Mostly permanents. Call ahead as weekends fill up quickly. - Salem Cruise Lite

This was our first CG during our first time long term full-time RVing and we were very pleased. We hope that this would be an example of what we will be encountering on our journey. The owners are very nice people that did everything they could to make our stay comfortable. We had the unfortunate timing of hurricane Irene and ended up without electricity for 3 days. But it was all good. Great experience and we learned how to boon dock. The CG has narrow roads made of crushed stone and the location for RVers, nicknamed the airport, is an open space that is newly converted for RVing, with modern electric and water. The spaces were tight, when the park was full. Not much for shade as the trees are still young and not very tall. We stayed during both an empty park, with only a few guests, and a full one, during labor day weekend, which had a lot of activity going on. All in all, it is a clean CG, great people, clean showers, nice pool. The road getting to the CG is steep, as are the roads within the CG. We enjoyed our stay and would return. We recommend this CG. - thesarge7
Mar 2011 - $25.00
We camped here in March with our brand new travel trailer (we just picked it up) and it could not have been nicer. The people there were super friendly and let us pick any site that was available. We stayed in what appeared to be a newer gravel section that was really nice and clean. Sites are roomy and well marked. We had a guest visit and they were great. The staff helped us find local activities and was very helpful. Large playground facility that my 5 year old really enjoyed. I enjoyed that the seasonal sites were set apart from the nightly sites; it made it more camping and less summer home. The only thing missing was the sewer hook up, but that is not a deal breaker. - RVFamily1221

This was our first time here. We planned a stop over for a night on the way home. The entrance is steep hill that is barely wide enough for two cars to pass each other. We had to pull over when we left so a car could drive up. This campground mainly caters to seasonals and it shows. They available sites they had were very close to together and made for a tight fit backing in. The campground itself was quiet though. We were white knuckling it trying to get our camper out as we drove out of the campground because all roads were one way and the tree overhang made it difficult. It may have been easier for smaller rigs to navigate, but we have a 26' foot travel trailer and have never had that many issues pulling through a campground. When we checked in, the person at the front desk offered no assistance in helping us figure out to get to our campsite. Thankfully the people camper next to us offered help since it was dark when we arrived. We probably will not return due to the accessibility issues of entering/exiting the campground and also trying to find the site, as well as backing in. They have no pull thru sites. There was a bit of a drop off at the back of our site which was a little unnerving. Don't arrive at night or in wet conditions. The roads are too narrow and rough. - Bebe and Pat

After hearing mixed reviews about Rosemount, we went anyway. I think we found a hidden gem. I think Wi-Fi is available at the office. Only reason I didn't give a 10 was because of the funky sewer hookups. Most come out of the ground on steep angles and do not have any fittings. That's easily fixed with duct tape. Pond is nice but not within walking distance. Campground is on a hill but it's not bad to walk. Sites were huge and level, but the exit roads were a little tight. Will return. - mikeh

Locust Lake is a very nice state park. Some camping spots could be tighter, tough to pull in with a bigger rv but park rangers are quick to accommodate and give an alternate spot. Electric at Rv sites, water easily accessible, dump station very easy in and out. Lake is beautiful, bike/walking trail around the lake. Pair of eagles put on a 'great show' during our 4 days at the lake. Have a small camp store, canoe and kayak rentals available. Nearest town is 15-20 minutes away. - Mgnause
Apr 2019 - $35.00
We were here for an overnight. The park is near I-81 but you have to drive a round-about 7 mile trek through narrow potholed roads to get there. The park website said it was 2 miles to I-81 but that is as the crow flies. There had been a number of storms prior to our visit and there were many tree branches down and some severe erosion on the roads and campsite. I would hope that it is cleaned up prior to the busy season. - VtLee
Jun 2018 - $37.00
Picked this (out of not much choice) for a "quick" overnight as we drove through PA on 81. While the park is really lovely and looks like a great place for a multi-day stay, for a one-nighter, would recommend a different solution. Pluses: beautiful park on pond with swimming area and fishing, shaded sites, electric hookup. Minuses: much harder to get into than looks on a map -- driving through smaller winding country roads to get to park. Sites are tight, heavily treed, and can be hard to get into on narrow campground roads. Sites not level, so needed all the levelers in this one (and that was suggested as a "good site" for us!). We were in a 26' trailer on site 40. - A New Chapter

High season rates for adequate site. It was pull through but had to unhook and maneuver to get to over to right side of site. Neighbor's awning hung over to our space and picnic table partially on our site. He wasn't home so we managed. Glad to get satellite access for TV though there were some trees. Staff was very friendly, helpful. Pool looked great though we didn't use it. Park was well maintained. Next time we'd probably go down an exit and camp free at a store parking lot. - rwarner22
Apr 2017 - $37.00
The campground was very clean, well maintained and the service was great. Our campsite was next to their beautiful lake/pond area. The reasons I didn't give it an excellent were the showers were timed you paid $.25 for 8 minutes and they were FREEZING! I have never had to pay for a shower before so finding the change to make my shower last was a little difficult. The other thing was our campsite wasn't level we were leaning downhill so trying to make breakfast was a little challenging besides that we really enjoyed our stay here. - NKatieA
Aug 2011 - $39.00
Sites were large but extremely difficult to back into. Sites were shaded but not a lot of privacy from your neighbor. Pool was clean, lake was stocked with fish. The few planned activities they had were fun. Staff was friendly. This is connected to a mobile home park, but no problems there. Roads were paved so good for bike riding. Nice playground for the kids. Not sure if we would return as I think we could find better CG's in the area. - autismmom

Site HT04, gravel, washed out gravel roads, very bad site, had a stack of lumber on drivers side and fenced in yard area on passenger side, very little usable area for use or for driving thru. 50 amp electricity did not work, low power on L2, power monitor would not accept it, 30 amp did work. Did not use the sewer, but cover was not on the sewer hookup. Verizon OK for phone, very weak for internet. Passport America should be ashamed to have this camp site on their list. PA valid Monday thru Thursday, it was Sunday so they charged full price of $49 for a trash site. - travelingjerry
Oct 2019 - $49.00
We stayed here for one nite on your way to Florida, and we will never stay there again. I would have been better off in Walmart parking lot. I went into the office upon my arrival to check in, and was given a map with our site number on it. The nightmare started immedialty, We were not given a clue where the site was, the signage is very poor, almost non existant. I would have thought one of the 3 employees would have escorted us, but that didn't happen, they were all busy watching what the other one was doing. So I proceeded down the main road only to find the road getting smaller, run down rv everywhere, and so sharp of turns, it is impossible to drive out of this area without damaging my RV. After finally getting out of this area, we came across the site that was noted, Did I mention it was also pouring cats and dogs. After setting up. hooking up the cable, and trying the wiFi it was unsecussful on both. I contacted the office, and they said I was to far away for wifi, If I was any closer I would be parked in front of the office which was very visible from my rv. As for the cable they are in the process of "fazing it out" in there terms. Do your self a favor you wont regret, GO ELSEWHERE, or try WALMART. - Dennis B

Jul 2016 - $36.00
We stopped twice once on our way northbound on our second day of traveling and southbound on our way home. Owners were very friendly. We found it the perfect place to stop due to it's proximity to I-81 though as others have mentioned it is a bit steep coming down hill to the entrance but my older Tundra was able to make the descent and climb with ease on both visits. Next time we plan to stay for at least a day to relax and enjoy the pool. - Tom Killackey
Jul 2016 - $36.00
We stayed here for just one night as it is close to I-81. We were very pleased with the look of the place, felt like we were in a state park! Very heavily treed so our site was kept cool in the hot weather. Only 30 amps so you have to be aware of that, but it was a pleasant place to be. We were in a pull-thru that was long enough to leave our toad attached behind our 36' motor home. They have a nice big pool on premise, too. We would come back. - dbcordello
Aug 2015 - $36.00
Heavily wooded in deep valley, hence the extremely steep grade from the Interstate. Staff friendly but no TV or WIFI due to tree coverage. Sites are close. Larger unit may have issues. Good overnight stay going North/South. Just remember grade - steep. - KilaH

Stopped here for one night on our way to Connecticut. Staff was very friendly, gave us a pull-thru site that was dead level. Didn't even have to disconnect from tow vehicle. Sites for transients were narrow but well maintained and power, water and sewer hookups were very convenient. Very well stocked store, very reasonable prices as well. If you stay, you've got to check out the bathrooms! They are spotless and more like home than a campground. Very pleasant stay and will definitely stay again. - Gumby52
Jul 2018 - $39.00
We stopped here for the night off of I-81. We had just come back into the US from Canada, so didn't have any fresh vegetables and purchased canned vegies from the camp store. The campground looks like it is more suited for the seasonal folks, than itinerants such as ourselves. Our campsite was a pull-through out in the open, the other campsites are sheltered under trees along curving lanes. The person in the office was brusque and almost rude. She made a point (and there are also lots of signs) about dogs not going into certain areas as they "urinate" on the plants and ruin them. All said, we were grateful to have a spot to stop for the night and get off the road. - ShoreXplorers

It was the first time we stayed and we loved it. I have three daughters and they had a blast meeting new friends. The staff was very helpful park was very clean, camp activities and entertainment, pool the playground sand volleyball hiking where also a plus at this campground. Definitely coming back next year, already booked our date with them. A must see campground to visit. We loved the Rocks. - Mike and Jen
Jun 2014 - $48.00
The campground is farther off the main roads than you would expect after reading their brochure. No discounts for anything. Narrow entry and exit pasted the office. VERY hilly with huge drop off ditches on each side of the road. Steep road up the hill. Sites are no where near level. The bathhouse is old and outdated with no a/c or heat. The check-in clerk had no idea if the campground could fill propane in a motorhome. I did see the propane station but it was not reachable by a motorhome. I should have but did not read the reviews. Do not even think of going here in a motorhome. I will not return. - cmprcountry
Aug 2011 - $47.00
We enjoyed our stay here. They have an on-staff security officer who drove around the campground. Although, there didn't seem to be a need for him to drive around, it was comforting to see him. The campground was well maintained and the owners take pride in it. We especially enjoyed the ice cream shop. The couple that worked there was very friendly. We took a hike to the top of the mountain. The view was amazing, but we were not prepared for how hard it was. I think that there should have been more information on how difficult the trails were. - Mike in NJ
