Great park in a great location. Very well kept park. We had a nice quiet site in the H loop. All the staff we dealt with were very friendly. Pool looks good but of course closed for the season. We did enjoy the hot tub a few nights of our stay. - RLKeller
Sep 2019 - $1.00
This park is so peaceful and really clean. We have a small rig with a wet bath, so the facility showers are important. These are probably the cleanest I have ever used. The park is quiet and the staff are very friendly. - RV Path chosen
Aug 2019 - $1.00
Great campground. Lots of sites. The weekend we stayed they had live music (Dave Mell's Blues Band) Saturday that could be heard all over the campground and they sounded GREAT. It was nice to sit around the campfire and listen to them playing. Made the weekend special. - Frankk

Jul 2019 - $1.00
Very nice 1000 Trails campground. Check-in staff was great and they took us to check out the sites in a golf cart. We then picked the site we wanted and we were off.
Very nice site and my wife and the granddaughter enjoyed the pool. - Frankk
Jul 2019 - $1.00
My wife, adult daughter, and I spent a long weekend at PA Dutch Country RV Resort in July 2019 and had a great experience. Unlike most Thousand Trails parks, we were met at check in by a ranger who drove us on his golf cart to examine available campsites that would fit our rig. This was much nicer than the usual "Thousand Trails Shuffle" of driving one's own rig around and around in the park looking for a campsite. Our site was mostly level, fully shaded, and more than long enough for our 37 foot motorhome and toad. The staff were universally friendly, and nice activities such as hay rides, crafts, and even an ice-cream party were offered for the kids. The pool is on the small side but well maintained. The free miniature golf course was one of the best we've found at a campground with a good combination of easy and challenging holes. The only thing detracting from the camping experience is the location of a shooting range not far from the campground, so the sound of gunfire was fairly regular through the daylight hours. The road into the park (Lehman Road) is not well marked and hard to see. There is no break in the painted lines on the highway, and there is no "Thousand Trails" sign. In fact, the sign still reads "Outdoor World." If coming from the north it's IMMEDIATELY after the Martin RV sales lot. - Miles and Smiles
Jun 2019 - $54.00
Camped in a 35" motorhome. We are self-contained so cannot comment on restrooms/shower facilities. Pros- - We arrive mid-week and were able to get a shady, full hookup site. - This is a Thousand Trails campground but surprisingly there were many permanent or long term RVs. That said, it was still clean, well maintained and quiet. - Verizon worked great - Kirt checked us in and took us by golf cart to choose a site - delightful man. A very quick and nice process. - Great location to explore Hershey and Lancaster areas. Cons - - none - Gina A

Sep 2019 - $48.00
We spent a week at Gettysburg Campground in Gettysburg, PA in our 39' fifth wheel. We were in a large pull-through site that had easy access and exit. Since we were on a curve, there was a great deal of open space on our door side. The hookups worked well and were well positioned. The restrooms were clean and the laundry room, although small, was also clean. The office staff was very friendly and provided us with information on nearby attractions. The campground is only a couple of miles from downtown Gettysburg. We recommend this campground and would return. - Phil G
Aug 2019 - $1.00
This RV park is also a working farm. There are chickens and rabbits running around the RV park along with a beautiful petting zoo. This is a great place to stay. We actually added 2 extra nights to just enjoy the amenities at the RV park. You do get to pick your site. My only negative comment are the bathrooms. They were very clean but dated. There was mold and things falling apart. The mini putt putt was also old but we played anyways and figured the lumps in the floor were a extra challenge. - RV Path chosen
Aug 2019 - $1.00
Visiting the different animals was the highlight for our granddaughter. Scheduled another stay for September so she can visit them again. Great 1000 trails campground and only 10 miles from my house! - Frankk

Nov 2019 - $40.00
Stayed a little over 3 weeks. For any stay over 14 days you pay a flat, monthly rate. Much less than other RV Parks in the area. Sites are mostly flat and very clean. They have storage sheds for the year-round people so sites don't get junked up. The people in the office were great. Heated pool stayed open until Oct 15. Very close to interstate so some traffic noise. Didn't bother us and made it convenient for exploring the area. Laundry room very clean and reasonably priced. Very comfortable. - Hartleyfam
Aug 2019 - $62.00
Lovely, clean, well-managed, conveniently located campground. Excellent signage! Nice and well-organized folks in the office. We saw some sites that required minor leveling but our site (505) was level and well away from I-283, very little highway noise and only a few airplanes in the mornings. Electricity and water supplies were fine, good wi-fi, about two dozen cable channels. Verizon service was excellent. Swimming pool, laundry and bathrooms clean. We recommend. - Mom_of_Two
Aug 2019 - $68.00
Campground does not reflect the expensive price. Big rig friendly with level sites. Easy on and off to highway. Wifi, showers, and laundry was good. No dog park but grass to walk dog. Cable was okay and could not get our satellite due to trees. Asked office the first day to move to another site so we could get our mobile satellite. Office said there was no open sites but there was lots of open sites the remaining of our stay. - Fulltimersrv

Sep 2019 - $69.00
The big thing about this park is that it is close to all things 'Hershey'...Hersheypark, Hershey Museum, Hershey sports complex, etc. In fact on the days when Hersheypark is open there is even a free shuttle there. Otherwise parking is $15/day+. As for the park itself - sites are pretty tight and because of the narrow roads, somewhat difficult to get into (especially for bigger rigs). The roads are gravel, narrow with tight turns, and more than a few potholes. Oh, and there is a main line railroad track that runs behind the park, although it didn't seem too bothersome. Actually, other than the trains, the park was quiet. We were there during the week, but maybe weekends are less quiet. The section we were in (Carousel Circle) is heavily treed, so don't plan on using your satellite antenna. The park is neat and clean and they do come around twice a day to pick up your garbage. All the staff we came in contact with were friendly and informative. I thought the daily rate was on the high side, but then there is the convenience of being close to the major attractions. Might have to think twice about staying here again, mostly because of the high daily rate. - boardman
Aug 2019 - $85.00
Not a park for big rigs. Check-in is not identified nor is there any parking. Then, could not take a direct route to site. Sites are tight and definitely not a pull thru. People taking the reservations have absolutely no idea if you fit a site or not. Not a positive image for Hershey. - Fdl
Jul 2019 - $79.00
Convenient to park especially with shuttle service. Our site was in the pioneer heights area, but further from the train tracks and with the air conditioner running there was barely any noise from the train. The sites in the pioneer heights area were much nicer with a little more room between sites than the carousel area, although they were back in and not pull through sites. Also a little hard to get level. - Lunamoth

May 2015 - $25.00
I kept asking if our 35' fifth wheel would fit; the man avoided answering. I would have really liked it if he told us that the campground was RIGHT before the 13' 6" bridge. We were at a standstill staring at the bridge when we noticed the campground sign. We managed to fit, but it was not easy. The campground road is uneven, dirt/gravel, narrow with low branches and wires strung at a nail biting 13' 6". The three riverfront sites that we had to choose from were not delineated; it took us a while to figure out what was a spot. There were water spigots here and there. There were more wires strung across the 'sites' that were definitely lower than 13'; they were attached to boxes and outlets nailed to trees providing 15 amp electricity. We backed into the only one we could maneuver into as far back without hitting the wires. Luckily we did not stick out into road, but leveling was the most difficult we have ever had to do. Even just walking around was tricky. We ran an extension cord about 50' to get our electricity and about 30' water hose to get water. Full hookups means that you can flag a guy down to pump out your tanks. In general the place was unkempt and littered. Being on the river was nice and peaceful (except for the train that is about as close as the river). They provided a fire ring and picnic bench; it was way too buggy for us. There were lots of birds; we got a great view of a woodpecker who landed on our window. - MichelleKry
Jun 2011 - $21.00
This is an older campground and as the name says a fishing camp located right on the river. The store sells bait, tackle and rents boats, canoes and kayaks and will provide transportation for float trips. The campsites obviously get flooded and the electric, water and cable are raised above flood stage. The sewer system is individual holding tanks at the sites which are pumped daily on weekdays and there is a dump station. Electric is 15 amp. The cable TV had a good variety of channels and worked well. Local over the air channels were limited to one network and two other channels with poor reception. Verizon has a strong 3G signal. The roads are shale and dirt. Some sites have concrete pads and a picnic table. There is one old cinder block building with toilets and showers and some portapotties. - trailertraveler

New owner is doing things right! All new level sites with new fire pit, grill and picnic tables! New store and shower house almost done with new pool and mini golf to be done in early July. Great stay! - Greeofthree
Aug 2017 - $45.00
This is an older park. The spaces were large with grass all around. Grass was well mowed. The park needs updating. The showers were clean but need improvements.Electricity was stronger than at a lot of parks. Quite a lot of seasonal campers. - Rkserv

This campground is a former KOA facility that is still a nice place to camp near Hershey, Pa. While it is not a fancy resort, it is in a nice setting outside of the city. We have stayed here for many years when we got to the Antique Automobile Club of America Fall Meet and Auto Parts Flea Market in early October. - Susan L.

We loved the campground, very quiet even though it was full. I would definitely recommend. - 3HappyCamperrs
Aug 2019 - $60.00
If coming from the Pa Turnpike, use the directions provided by the campground that goes to Rt 743 and turns right on Market St. My 36 ft travel trailer negotiated that route no problem (follow the KOA signs). The campground is clean and the owners and staff are absolutely top notch. I bought discount tickets for Hershey online that had to be printed and since I was at the campground I had no way of doing that. The staff took care of that for me. They provided a shuttle to Hershey Park and back which was very welcome not requiring me to drive and park there. I would definitely stay here again. - HighCountry_trio
Jul 2019 - $65.00
Stayed 2 nights in July 2019 in a "Full Hookup/PullThru" site. Paid $65.25/night ($72.50/night less 10% KOA ValueKard discount). There were no additional fees or taxes. If you're big or tall, suggest using Newville Road to go between 230 and Turnpike Rd. This is as opposed to using the GPS result which is the combo of Bossler/Zeagler/Deodate/Toll House streets. If you happen to use the GPS method, it is do-able for big rigs. You'll just have extra hill-and-dale country road diving. I love the KOA online reservation system and was happy to get into this park at the last minute (we landed in the area for an unexpected repair issue). Check in was easy. Office staff was pleasant. The grounds are very pretty and clean. Site was a long, gravel pull through with better-than-average space between rigs. Hook ups were placed well and worked perfectly. Clear sky for DirecTV satellite signal in our section. There are lots of trees in other sections so I imagine not all sites have clear sky. You might call the office if this is important to you. They offer cable with 28 channels but we did not use it. Verizon voice and data worked well. Did not try their wifi. Did not use amenities but they looked nice. Campground store was large, organized and likely to have anything you might need including a good selection of souvenir items. Very quiet and dark at night for restful sleeping. A few gripes - 1. Park brochure has ENTIRE front page FILLED with "Park Etiquette & Rules". I find that a bit off-putting. Normally it's the inside, back cover or on a separate sheet. 2. I specifically asked our escort about trees because we are tall (13'0"). He assured me all was fine. We brushed FOUR different tree branches going to site (no damage done). I made escort aware and he immediately had someone trimming. 3. Site was unlevel side-to-side so much so that our auto level system couldn't level without manual override. Overall this is a nice park and we would consider staying again. - GottaGoNow

Bathrooms are falling apart and floors are very dangerous! Slippery as an ice rink... Plus the lights are only on a timer, no way to turn them on! It's dark in there even in the daytime! I fell and hurt myself, even with 3 shoe options and being very careful. Same goes for the men's and women's. And you can hear guns going off. Why would a state park allow hunting is beyond me. (even if you are a hunter, that's not the place = go into the woods!) - FunfinderXYZ
May 2019 - $41.00
We stayed in a nice full-hookup site in loop B perfect for our 36 ft travel trailer. Lots of space in the cite. Park rangers drove around every day to make sure everything was running smoothly. The park has lots of shade. The trails were very nice, though some have some steep hills. We’ve camped here many times, and plan on returning. - LolaAndPappy
Oct 2018 - $45.00
Site Details: We stayed in the Dragonfly camping cottage (quick weekend trip without the husband, and I'm not quite up for towing and setting up the popup by myself with 3 kids!). It was a standard rustic-type state park cabin, with one double bed, one single twin bunk, and one regular set of bunk beds, so it sleeps 5-6 comfortably. There was also a sturdy dining room table with chairs and an oscillating fan inside. Electricity/lights and heat, but no AC. Very clean inside. The cabin also had a really nice front porch, picnic table, and fire ring, and was situated with a beautiful lake view. The area we were in contained both rustic cabins and yurts (which looked really neat). Facilities/Overall Park: Multiple bath houses were scattered among various loops, and each one we visited was very old, dim and drab, but they were also spacious and reasonably clean. Showers all had old rust and water stains. However, it was nice that there were so many of them, because this is a very large state park with multiple camping loops. Most tent and basic RV sites were shaded and private, while the newer FHU sites were more open (but still nicely spaced). Hosts and rangers were nice, but not very helpful or proactive when my family members arrived to find their reserved site occupied by someone else (ended up finding a solution, but not the best way to start off the trip). There is a beautiful lake with a really nice day area in the center of the park, with a great playground and concession stand. The lake is popular for fishing and swimming, although there is oddly no sand beach; swimmers just entered the water straight from the grass. Overall, this was a very pretty park with site options for every type of camper, but certain elements are in need of updating. I don't think I'd go out of my way to make this park a destination, but it's a nice option as a base camp for visiting the RV show or other attractions. - Jenventola
