Let me start by saying the people working at this RV park were very friendly and helpful. It's a very large park with around half of its spots occupied by seasonal campers. The park itself is built into a steep hill and that's where the problems began. When we arrived they escorted us to our site only to find that is was impossible to back into with our 36' 5th wheel due to the extreme slope and trees on 3 sides of the site. Management quickly found us another site which was not much better but was all they could offer. The roads in the park are very narrow and while heading to the new site we scraped a tree that obviously had been struck many times. Our new site was very large but the entrance was almost completely blocked by a giant boulder. After several attempts we got in. As I said the roads in the park are very narrow and pocked with pot holes. There are many rock islands where 2 roads meet making turning difficult. On the good side, Halloween is very big in this park and they had a great hayride and haunted house. The park needs to improve their roads and remove a lot of trees. While the staff was great I would not stay here again. - TED JURY
Oct 2019 - $50.00
Arrival and check-in was smooth. Staff were available to assist with questions and directions to site. This is primarily a gravel lined site for motor homes, but fortunately a overnight spot was available for tents. Positives were staff courtesy, cleanliness, laundry, activities for kids, fire pit and picnic table at the site. Hiking trails were not in great shape but I don't believe many take to the trails. - outsideismyinside
Oct 2019 - $50.00
We stayed during their Halloween Weekend. There were many activities, including hayrides and a haunted house. We enjoyed seeing the kids trick ot treating. The check-in was quick and easy. The staff was very helpful in making sure we got to the site and settled. Our site had a full hook-up, including cable. Cable picture quality was not great. The OTA quality was good, but there were very few channels. AT&T cell signal strength was weak. Overall, we enjoyed the weekend and will probably return. - BillU8

Very nice 1000 Trails campground. Check-in staff was great and they took us to check out the sites in a golf cart. We then picked the site we wanted and we were off.
Very nice site and my wife and the granddaughter enjoyed the pool. - Frankk
Jul 2019 - $1.00
My wife, adult daughter, and I spent a long weekend at PA Dutch Country RV Resort in July 2019 and had a great experience. Unlike most Thousand Trails parks, we were met at check in by a ranger who drove us on his golf cart to examine available campsites that would fit our rig. This was much nicer than the usual "Thousand Trails Shuffle" of driving one's own rig around and around in the park looking for a campsite. Our site was mostly level, fully shaded, and more than long enough for our 37 foot motorhome and toad. The staff were universally friendly, and nice activities such as hay rides, crafts, and even an ice-cream party were offered for the kids. The pool is on the small side but well maintained. The free miniature golf course was one of the best we've found at a campground with a good combination of easy and challenging holes. The only thing detracting from the camping experience is the location of a shooting range not far from the campground, so the sound of gunfire was fairly regular through the daylight hours. The road into the park (Lehman Road) is not well marked and hard to see. There is no break in the painted lines on the highway, and there is no "Thousand Trails" sign. In fact, the sign still reads "Outdoor World." If coming from the north it's IMMEDIATELY after the Martin RV sales lot. - Miles and Smiles
Jun 2019 - $54.00
Camped in a 35" motorhome. We are self-contained so cannot comment on restrooms/shower facilities. Pros- - We arrive mid-week and were able to get a shady, full hookup site. - This is a Thousand Trails campground but surprisingly there were many permanent or long term RVs. That said, it was still clean, well maintained and quiet. - Verizon worked great - Kirt checked us in and took us by golf cart to choose a site - delightful man. A very quick and nice process. - Great location to explore Hershey and Lancaster areas. Cons - - none - Gina A

If you are looking for a spacious, wooded campsites then Spring Gulch is for you. All the elite sites are among the best you will find of any campground. The rest rooms are very clean and well maintained, the pool and hot tub were left open due to unseasonably warm weather. The campground sponsored activities each night, including their Thanksgiving in October. The location in the Welsh Mountains is one of the best location in all of Lancaster County. - dadseven
Jul 2019 - $65.00
We stay in here every year for just under a week next to our friends in the 1500 section. The staff could not be friendlier or the park cleaner. Plenty of room for our 45ft coach and full hookups. - WMSmith
Jul 2019 - $86.00
Very nice park, eaay access to spacious sites. A bit expensive at $86 a night. Golf cart rentals by an outside vendor at nearly $100 a day so be prepared. We will definetly stay here again. - Mgee

Great park in a great location. Very well kept park. We had a nice quiet site in the H loop. All the staff we dealt with were very friendly. Pool looks good but of course closed for the season. We did enjoy the hot tub a few nights of our stay. - RLKeller
Sep 2019 - $1.00
This park is so peaceful and really clean. We have a small rig with a wet bath, so the facility showers are important. These are probably the cleanest I have ever used. The park is quiet and the staff are very friendly. - RV Path chosen
Aug 2019 - $1.00
Great campground. Lots of sites. The weekend we stayed they had live music (Dave Mell's Blues Band) Saturday that could be heard all over the campground and they sounded GREAT. It was nice to sit around the campfire and listen to them playing. Made the weekend special. - Frankk

My wife and I stayed here mid of Oct 2019. We found this to be an excellent campground. The staff were polite and very helpful. The location is well placed to see and enjoy all that Lancaster County offers. When entering I was put off by the entrance gate which is behind the building and not immediately visible. It looked tight but I was able to get my 42' fifth wheel thru without any difficulty. Full hookup site was very spacious. Mostly level, but I did use more blocks on my door side. - Bob and Karen
Oct 2019 - $1.00
We stayed at site S1, which was right on the river. This was our first outing with our new camper and the staff were exceptional in helping us to get us into the site and settled. The park was clean and we had no issues with the facilities. AT&T signal was excellent. OTA TV was poor at our site. - BillU8
Jun 2019 - $1.00
This place is pretty crowded with the FHU sites all around each other. It is surrounded by the Conestoga River so there is not much land around for trails. We took a site along the main road and there is not a lot of room for the truck. WiFi is sketchy, have to pay for cable but got the best OTA stations with antenna toward Harrisburg. The water quality is good; electric good. Lots of activities such as pool, basketball, etc. There are sites along the river, but they are just W/E. There is a large ball field down near the river to let the dogs loose to get some exercise. There is a trail along the river. - Kerch Family

Easy off and on to highway. Friendly staff and easy check in. Small camp store. Level site. Shady. Dump station was awkward to get to. We were travelling though and happened to be there for Halloween activities. Lots of decor and fun things for the kids. Gas at exit. Walmart and lots of shopping and restaurants 1 exit north. Lots of seasonal sites but they are separated from travelers. - Jan Orlando

Arrived late because of a flat tire all paper work was waiting and they even upgraded our site. Very easy in and out and will stop again when in the area. - toytowner

Well, we arrived Friday at 8 o'clock, unhooked and got a fire going. My 17 son took the golf cart out for a ride around the campground. So he came back in 10 mins and behind him came 3 golf carts all being staff including the owner. He didn't even say hi. All he said, as he got into my face, this golf cart you have may not be used in this campground. I did not say a word as he said again this golf cart may not leave the site. He said no gas-powered carts are allowed. As all three of there carts are gas powered. The way he handled it in front of my family was extremely rude. Anyways rules are rules. I just didn't know that was a rule, he could have been a lot nicer...Campground itself is very close together as sites are on top of each other... If you wanna fish in there fishless pond you have to pay 5 bucks a person. What a joke!!!! Sites are not level either. Would not recommend. - Harrison jones

Was our first time semi/boondocking (had electric). The park is beautiful and the sites are spacious. We had to area to ourselves for the most part. Enjoyed the local hiking trails. Very quiet and relaxing. Campfires and stargazing - what more could you desire? There is one blind turn that we had to hold our breath and pray that there wasn't anyone coming. As it was, we just made the turn without scraping the side of our rig. So, be careful! - LongTermParking
Apr 2018 - $48.00
We just returned home from here for the weekend. We won't be returning. It's not terrible, but a few things turned us off. First the site had trash on the ground that I had to clean up. Secondly, it's all wide open (like being in a parking lot). Looks like only the seasonal spots get privacy of trees. And this was the whole park. Third, there is a gate that you must call the office every single time you come in. I understand and appreciate security, but having to call the office each time and being questioned really pissed me off (I have your tag hanging in my window, do I really need to tell you more?). Or give us a key card that we can use. Lastly, I forgot ketchup, so I run down to the little store instead of taking the 20 min ride. Well, I get that they should charge a little for convince but.... ketchup $3.25, dozen eggs $4.80, qt of milk $3.90 a pack of hot dogs $6.99... this is just being greedy and taking advantage of your guests. One more thing.. We lost electricity 3 times while there. It wasn't just our site. We won't be returning. - neff
May 2017 - $6.00
Been going to the camp site for years. Not always the best camp, but reasonable. They just added a new gate to the site, which I would normally be fine with. However, there was other priorities, like renovating the bathrooms and the playgrounds that are falling apart. - chris782

Jun 2009 - $40.00
This campground is overrun by golf carts. If you have kids, beware! Seasonal sites are allowed to have a golf cart. Many of them race around all day and play bumper cars. No beer is allowed off of the campsite. It looked like a golf cart convention blocking the office doors when I went up for firewood. Everyone had a beer and cigarette on their golf cart. Very unsafe to drink and drive. Believe me, these people are juiced up. Kids try to feed the ducks at the pond and the drunks come racing past to scare the ducks away. Roads are very bad with many holes. Many sites get flooded. This owner needs to improve his safety and conditions for this campground. - Jakari
May 2009 - $35.00
Camped here Memorial Day Weekend, 2009. Minimum reservation of 2 nights which is reasonable. Site was not level, but saw that most sites were level. Our site, though not level was creekside and was very private and very beautiful. Overall, the campground was very well maintained. Only two major complaints: during the day we did have some kids playing in the creek behind our site, which was essentially part of our site. Also, the campground is obviously geared toward seasonal campers, and there was NOTHING to do. No trails, nothing. Would be great for families with kids, and the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We were very pleased with our experience, just wish there were more activities for adults on the grounds. - KStar1926

We loved this place. Our campsite was perfect, shady with woods all around us, very private but open to the road so we could visit with passers-by if we wanted. The owners are friendly, wonderful people. We did not use any of the amenities but there was a lot of kids and families enjoying the pool. The place is huge, plenty of room for walking our dogs. The view from the top is really nice but we didn't want that much sun. I'd recommend calling for your reservation and describing what you want for a campsite, they know all their sites and will be happy to place you in the perfect spot. The laundry room is spotless and cheap. Our AT&T phones and T-Mobile hot spot both worked great. Some if the interior roads are gravel and a bit rough, just go slowly. - janci

Aug 2018 - $45.00
We made a late reservation to Starlite, but they were able to accommodate us. Our site had full hook ups. The Staff was very friendly and helpful. The store was very well stocked. It had everything one could want. The site was pretty level. I did need to use some leveling blocks but when I did the trailer was dead on. The connections were convenient. If I had to find something to nitpick it would be that the sewer connection was not threaded and you had to find a heavy object to put on top of it to make sure that the hose didn't come out of the ground. Also, our site was a little difficult to back into because the interior roads are narrow. Our site was wooded which afforded us quite a bit of privacy. Bathrooms were clean. The view from the plateau sites was really nice. Highly recommended. We will definitely be back. - Tim W
