I stay here 3-4 days per week in a tent on a primitive site. It’s very peaceful down by the river. Some of the RV spots look very tight to me, but my RV is a van so I would use a tent site even if I did sleep in my van there. I have a thousand trails zone Park pass. I think it was $450. Divided by the nights I’ve used it I’m at about $8/ night. I typically use it 6 nights per week. - MrBoondock
Jun 2018 - $1.00
Price reflects Thousand Trails membership. Campground is slowly making improvements. They are starting to try and control site usage better as in suggesting sites that better fit the size of the unit and needs. They still need to level some sites and trim some trees but, in their defense, sites become filled as fast as they empty. Sometimes it is hard to get a nice transit sites as they are holding sites to become seasonal but, in a pinch, will let transits use them. Small improvement. - DBLR
Apr 2018 - $30.00
Some sites spacious, others crowded, not level but only took couple of boards on one side. WiFi didn't work...said wrong password and staff said " it should work". Not well designed. Host building about 1/2 mile away. Pick your own site. - Marie Hodgdon
Aug 2018 - $46.00
A simple, no-frills campground among Mennonite farms in Lancaster County. Sites along Muddy Run, which borders half of the campground, are flat, short and rather narrow, but do provide nice creekside ambiance. Site was mostly grass, but not surprisinging, given the area is prone to seasonal flooding. Basic family and food activities are planned each week. Camp store fairly spartan on supplies; Walmart is about 10 mins away. WiFi service is non-existent at most sites; Verizon customers will struggle with poor cell signal strength. Picnic table was in bad shape and fire ring rusty. Playground area large, shaded, with decent equipment. Staff was friendly. One of two dump stations is in the center of the campground, which is great to keep dumpers from being careless, but does put you on display when you're dumping. Pump-out service is $6. - Lancaster Camper
Aug 2017 - $34.00
Older campground is spacious, shade with water and 30 amp hookups. Monthly folks get sewer spots. Pump truck is 6 bucks. Beautiful creek - we put our lawn chairs in while we watched grandkids play. Nice large swimming pool and playground for kids. Amish ride down road between two sides of park. Wagon ride following Luau Pig Roast. Each Saturday is different them. Some firepits are too close to rigs for comfort. - ThePattersons
Oct 2016 - $41.00
The New owners are turning this place into kiddie city. This used to be a very nice friendly, clean, we'll run campground. Now if your not booking at least 2 nights they hold open sites till the last moment hoping to get someone looking for 2 or more nights, if they cannot get a 2 night reservation they will give up a 1 night . Events every weekend are drawing in the loud drinkers and rowdy types. If you enjoy Wildwood you'll like this place. After spending many weekends here we are done with this place. - Dan Fong
Jun 2017 - $52.00
Came here based on prior reviews, and pics of the pool (our 7yo was excited about the big slides!) Called for reservations only a week in advance, so sites were limited... But we got a site not far from the pool and office/store area. Pluses: - the pool: large, clean, big tubular slides, plenty of deck area with large amts of seating - pretty creek by the office/pool area, with sites available on it (mostly seasonal from what I could tell) - well-stocked store, with actual penny candy & lots of choices for munchies - did not experience any unfriendly staff Minuses: - Very hilly. There is a lower area, and then a steep winding road up to an upper area. Almost no flat places on the whole site, except right by the creek. - Sites packed close together, with little/no trees etc between sites. - Many noisy gas golf carts buzzing around at night, up until quiet hours start at 11pm. (Although it's probably the best way to get around the hilly terrain.) Probably won't return, too hilly/noisy/crowded for our tastes, with better cg options nearby. (It's a very pretty area, though, so glad we visited.) - Will Dennis
Sep 2016 - $55.00
Trashy. Very rude staff, clientele very strange. No freedom to be at your site without management or others interrupting. Smells like sewer, would not recommend at all. Other campgrounds within a mile radius much nicer and much friendlier staff. - JJLJ
Jul 2016 - $55.00
We have stayed at this campground several times before. It is a very well run park. Seasonals and staff are all friendly and all rules are followed. No speeding golf carts and no excessive noise!! This is the first time the weather allowed us to use the pool--it was nice and warm and quite clean. A bit disappointed, though, that on a holiday weekend the water slides were not open. The golf cart parade was a lot of fun as was the selfie scavenger hunt for teens and adults. There are quite a few activities as well as a church service to choose from. The local bakery comes and sells some yummy desserts as wellThere is a nice hunting trail opposite the lake that leads up to "Devil's Den". I recommend checking it out. The sites are clean and nicely spaced out so you are not right next to your neighbor. Most of the sites have quite a bit of shade as well. If you do rent a site and you are in the "D" section, I would suggest renting a golf cart as well as the hill heading down to the pool and store is quite steep. We already have plans to return next year. - autismmom

We wound up here when heavy rains and weekend festivals closed or filled up all the parks near Gettysburg and Hershey Park. Getting to the park was easy but required several miles of 2-lane zig-zagging over the Turnpike. The interior roads were a bit steep and scary at first, but I unhooked, took it slowly, and didn't scrape the bottom or sides on anything. The pull-through site was spacious but not at all level side to side. This turned out to be a big advantage when torrential rains came. The slope allowed water to run downhill instead of pooling at our site. Our Verizon MiFi was almost unusable, but the camp wifi was excellent. We opted for the $10/3 day plan that allowed us to access fast wifi with 2 devices. They also had a "turbo" wifi, but I didn't try it out. The sewer cap was stuck on so hard we had to hammer it off, and the sewer pipe isn't threaded. It also raises up more than a foot above the ground, almost negating the nice downhill flow that leads up to it. The camp hosts were incredibly friendly. There are many seasonal campers, and most of them look just fine. There was one whose roof was dirty and caved in, but most of the permanent sites were well cared for. Since we were spending time over at Hershey and Gettysburg, we didn't get to enjoy the pool or the fire ring. The boys loved the playground, except for the swarms of noseeums that attacked every time we went outside. All-in-all a great stay. - TedandElle
Sep 2017 - $50.00
Stayed here for the NHRA race. The campground is close to race track, but not within walking distance. WiFi only at the office and no Verizon service .They had lots of activities over the weekend and a band on Saturday night! The roads in the park are tight but go slow and you will have no problems. Most people here are seasonal but they put was travelers all together. - Donny and Donna
Jul 2016 - $52.00
We had a very nice time at Sun Valley. We had no issues. Everyone in the office was very nice. Yes, there are a lot of seasonals but all were very nice. If I have to complain about something it is the size of the rocks in the roadways. Definitely tough on the feet while walking but we all managed.
Enjoy your stay and remember "it beats staying home." - grs34
May 2019 - $68.00
This is an older campground that has recently been taken over by Sun RV resorts. Ice cream and mini golf are reasonably priced. The pool is small and not enough chairs. The bathrooms are clean but dark and dated. We camp here every year for the Memorial Day holiday. They show an outdoor movie which is a fun event for everyone; you can watch from your golf cart or bring blankets and chairs. Sites are shaded and have some privacy due to the established trees in between sites. There is an RV area with out trees which might be good for spring and fall camping. There is a pond for fishing, plenty of open space for baseball, frisbee, etc. People need to be respectful of others and pick up after their dogs when walking their dogs in the play area. The staff is welcoming and friendly. There are boats for rent. There are a lot of seasonal units; most are very well maintained. The golf carts get a little out of hand....lots of near misses, driving at night with no lights, speeding, etc. Parents seem to let their kids (under age ) drive the golf carts and they have little control or don't know the rules of the road. We rode our bikes to travel around the campground but most campers seem to use the golf carts or walk. They sell Hershey Ice Cream. Very good! Kids seem to enjoy this campground. Lots of family activities. - User3758
May 2019 - $75.00
We stayed at this campground the first weekend in May. This is one of the nicest and cleanest campgrounds we've ever stayed at. We had a deluxe red carpet site. We booked this weekend the previous July, it's a very popular campground. The interior roads were all paved, our campsite had a concrete pad. Very level. The campground is a bit of a maze, we found our campsite easily but there are people who can guide you to your site if you so wish. Some of the interior roads were a bit tight. Everyone there was very friendly and accommodating. Check in was fast. It has the nicest camp store of any that I've seen. Our site was next to our friends who we went with. Even though they were right next door we were separated by trees and bushes, so it gave us quite the feeling of privacy. The water pressure was good. The electric was conveniently located and stable. The sewer hook up was at the rear of the site but I was able to hook up without problem. My only complaint is that the sewer was slightly uphill, which was a little problematic when it came time to dump. The sewer connection was not threaded either. A rock on top of that took care of the problem. There are many things to do at this campground like hiking and fishing. The fishing was pretty good. They also rent golf carts, we rented one and enjoyed ourselves driving around this quite large campground. Plenty of stuff for kids to do. All in all an excellent weekend getaway. I would highly recommend this campground. - Tim W
Aug 2018 - $90.00
Awesome campground. This was our third time here and we are never disappointed. Clean, friendly atmosphere. Lots of activities and an amazing pool! Our new favorite campground! - wheezer01
Jun 2016 - $65.00
We stayed here spring 2016. As we pulled in and as we got close the office, you could smell sewer. The smell was really bad all weekend. But that was not the only problem. The price was higher then we wanted. Higher rate for family. 51 base rate but extra for older kids. But I realize that adding for adult kids is normal.
Internet was spotty. Kept kicking us off. The RVs/trailers are packed in like sardines. You have campers very close on 3 sides of you. No privacy at all. We really didn't have any grass. We didn't even have a fire ring, not that we had the space to use it. I don't think you could park a car between the campers--they were too close. We couldn't use our awning.
Also, there is many permanent sites. It seemed as if 75 to 85% (could be much higher)are permanent. Just looked and felt like a trailer court. Doesn't feel like you are camping. The bathrooms were not clean and smelled of mold. There was green algae growing on things--not all things but the propane tank and shed were the worst. The office looked OK. And the people seemed nice.
There was a few 'cabins' that from the outside looked good.
We didn't check out the pool. The campground roads were confusing a bit. We will not go back because of the smell, no privacy, high prices and lack of good atmosphere. - KayG
Mar 2016 - $42.00
Owners of this campground are wonderful. I have never seen owners cooking food and doing pedicure's for mothers day. They are aware of everything in their campground and they want to keep people happy. Nicest people you ever want to meet. Our site is great has lots of room. Game room is very nice. Bathrooms are clean. Pool looks very nice can't wait to swim in it. The pavilion is over the top it is so nice closed in all season pavilion has a bathroom and a kitchen. This is the nicest one I have ever seen. Playground is nice. Store is very cute has a lot of cute things in it. People in campground are all so nice. We love it and plan to camp here for a very long time. Lots of fun activities to do. - NIKKI66
Jul 2013 - $41.00
Nice enough campground. Gravel roads and level gravel sites. Cable TV was good. Internet was very spotty. Very friendly people run the park and their guests are friendly, too. Many permanent campers have been left there by owners who come periodically. They are not kept clean which makes the campground seem a little ratty. But it was quiet and peaceful while we were there. - traveling2s
Oct 2018 - $45.00
First off I'd like to say that the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The campground is very conveniently located near an entrance to the Pennsylvania turnpike. With that said, there was no traffic nose from the turnpike, there was some road noise from a nearby road but that wasn't too bad. The interior roads were wide but they did have a few bumps that were rather large. The campsites were all gravel. From our campsite there was a grassy area for walking our dog, so that was nice. Our campsite was pretty level. The hook ups were conveniently located. The water pressure was ok for most of our visit although there were a few times where it seemed a little weak. The electric was fine, no sags that I noticed. Sewer was convenient for me, however the connection was not threaded. I did not care for that. You needed to place something heavy on the sewer hose to keep it in the connection while dumping the black and gray tanks. The store had a few basics but was not really well stocked. They did have gold cart rentals that ran $40.00 for 24 hours and they rented paddle boats which you could use to explore the pond. The price for that was $2.00 per half hour, one of the cheapest prices I've ever seen for that that of thing. The fishing in the pond was pretty good. The pond has Bass, Bluegills and Catfish. - Tim W
Sep 2018 - $50.00
Had planned on a two-day weekend stay but had family emergency. Campground refunded second night without penalty or complaint. Excellent customer service. Site was back-in and not level. But backed to trees and spacious when sites on either side were empty. Barking dogs everywhere. Roads were in terrible shape - dips and bumps. Would stay here again - nice place to walk - large pond on site with fishing. - D-S
Jun 2017 - $48.00
Back in sites very close together no grass all gravel. Pool nice but bathrooms were from what we could guess were only cleaned once a week. Few activities. Peaceful close to market n turnpike. All in all our stay was okay. Staff always seemed put out. - Rv living_73
Aug 2018 - $45.00
Not much to do at this campground but it is rustic and pretty. Some sites can be tight to get into (a lot of trees). - Bjb1775
Sep 2016 - $45.00
Basic no frills campground. Owners very friendly. We have camped here several times, no problems. Easy access to major routes. Sites are level, crushed stone, large enough. WiFi and cable reception good. - dkiefer
Sep 2016 - $45.00
We stayed 3 nights in site 56. The site is on an outside row. It was near perfect level and had a large fire ring of local stone loosely laid.
Our 30 amp, water, sewer, and cable hookups were fine, however, the wifi was not so good, slow as molasses in January.
This campground is mostly stone, meaning, little vegetation, though the entire campground is under a mature canopy of trees, almost all shaded. There's a little playground to the rear of the grounds. The sites are close together in the interior, and there are numerous rather permanent setups. - majorairhead
Aug 2018 - $58.00
This place is rather large, but many of the unused sites are unkempt. The permanent spots are well-maintained. Bathrooms and showers are clean and the pool was clean as well. The best sites by far in this campground are the elite spots up on the hill. They are all well shaded. However, our site, 1547, flooded after a night of heavy rain. It soaked in but the site was wet all weekend. The activities were a lot of fun but ended at 8:30 on a Saturday night. The staff is friendly. There are two pools, the lower pool has no parking lot available and only one row of value sites are really close. We camped here in a travel trailer and our spot was quite large and shaded. - autismmom
Aug 2017 - $72.00
Nice Beach area and fishing pond....2 pools one was supposed to be heated...it did not feel as though it was heated. Low hanging branches making it difficult to navigate large rig to campsite. Septic system backed up causing feces to float around campsite. The front desk advised they could not fix the problem....after 2 days of not being able to use water and flush toilet, waste management arrived. Also, in the next campsite a water pipe broke causing large puddles in the mud. As we were doing a family camping trip my niece was renting a cabin for 4 adults and 2 young children. After checking in and going to cabin we were horrified by the condition of the cabin. In addition to being filthy, the window was broken and taped together and the screen was broken. After arguing with the manager her cabin was eventually changed. On a good note the front desk clerk was very polite and apologetic. - Chriss6
Jul 2017 - $52.00
Unfortunately, made reservations to stay one month to the tune of 845.00. Finding the site was difficult as the sites are not marked that you can see the site from roadway. Had to request that limbs be cut to accommodate our opening of slides. Pulled into a very untidy area with two other side by side neighbors that are to be desired as they are unkept, garbage outside and curtains just hanging in windows. Very disappointed with site and hope they can remedy our situation that we do not have to search for other accommodations. Be sure you deeply investigate your camping ground choice...taking advertising shots as your guide could lead to a disappointment. - Cnova
Jun 2019 - $67.00
We averaged $67 for water/electric 50 amp/ sewer/cable/wifi with KOA discount ($74 without). This was a premium site on the edge of the campground that had a spectacular view of the rolling hills in the area. The woman in the office was very nice. The campground is on quite a steep hill and some of the paved roads are very steep. But our site was level. - Teddi2
Jun 2019 - $70.00
What a relaxing gem. This is the perfect getaway to relax and recharge the batteries. Beautiful views of the area and close to good restaurants and shopping. - Mdmilburne
Apr 2019 - $52.00
This Park is under new ownership. We had a great stay and met new owners Chad and his wife. First improvement no more gated entrance. They are an energetic young couple that should be able to breathe some new life back into this campground. We stayed here in a 32'ft MH.in one of their back in 30Amp spots. Beautiful view of the valley. - Germania
