Only 4 miles off I-78 and easy to navigate. For your first trip, disconnect your toad at the top of the hill just before the park entrance. (The roads are steep inside the park). The park is located in a very beautiful part of Pennsylvania and very convenient to the Kutztown and Allentown areas. It was very convenient to have free cable TV. This is an Encore property and part of the "Trails Collection" offering. Lots for the kids to do. Friendly staff. - Todd Fogelberg

First Impression: Too far out in the country for a stop-over CG. Many seasonal sites that look nice. CG buildings appear to be aged farm buildings (wood rot, deteriorating). Safety: No concerns. Access: Exit 40 off I-78, turned north on PA-787, immediate left onto Old Route 22. Right on Donat Rd, straight on Little Round Top Rd, to Robin Hill Rd that puts you in the CG. Old Route 22 in poor condition. Garmin GPS is accurate. Office: Nice store with snacks, food items, souvenirs, RV equipment items. Credit cards accepted. Online reservations available through RVontheGO. No price discounts. Facilities: Pool and big game room ($). Small, clean laundry room. Restrooms near office need restoration. They're outdated, have mold, and need a deep cleaning. The men's room smells like an outhouse. Propane sales. Multiple playground areas. No off-leash dog run. Campground: In a flood plain (stream). Wooden buildings might not survive a storm. Moderately wooded. Interior roads are narrow, dirt/gravel and asphalt in good condition with gentle turns and no overhead obstacles. Mostly seasonal sites. Big rig challenging and long coaches might have maneuvering problems. Tent areas, no yurts but cabins are available. Sites vary from close to secluded (seasonals), sufficiently level, grass/dirt/gravel, all back-in. Pedestals at middle of site with electric 20/30/50; metered for long-term. Adequate water pressure with good taste. No sewer; "FHU" means using a bladder lying on the ground. Mine was smashed - unusable. No patios; usable picnic tables. Fire rings. Marginal satellite views (trees). Free cable TV (34 channels). Tengonet Wi-Fi but limited range. Verizon phone and 4G at 1-2 bars. No recycle bins. Noise: Some CG road traffic - minimal. Bug Report (late July): biting flies. Runners: CG roads good for running. Yoga: put your mat on the grass if so inclined. Conclusion: Score 5-Acceptable. IMO: overpriced. CG charges $4 "resort fee" per day. - StephenK

Pretty much a park for annuals, about 90%. There are a few open sites for passers through. Our site was weird to figure out; we parked the trailer on the grass with our site itself gravel. Big enough for the truck as well. Our section was up a huge hill but level on top. FHU site; water quality is good; electric good. Verizon coverage is OK and the park offers cable, which is nice. Pretty big park with a couple of playgrounds, swimming pool, activity center. Have not found a place to let the dogs loose though; there are lots of farms in the area. - Kerch Family

Easy off and on to highway. Friendly staff and easy check in. Small camp store. Level site. Shady. Dump station was awkward to get to. We were travelling though and happened to be there for Halloween activities. Lots of decor and fun things for the kids. Gas at exit. Walmart and lots of shopping and restaurants 1 exit north. Lots of seasonal sites but they are separated from travelers. - Jan Orlando

Arrived late because of a flat tire all paper work was waiting and they even upgraded our site. Very easy in and out and will stop again when in the area. - toytowner

Well, we arrived Friday at 8 o'clock, unhooked and got a fire going. My 17 son took the golf cart out for a ride around the campground. So he came back in 10 mins and behind him came 3 golf carts all being staff including the owner. He didn't even say hi. All he said, as he got into my face, this golf cart you have may not be used in this campground. I did not say a word as he said again this golf cart may not leave the site. He said no gas-powered carts are allowed. As all three of there carts are gas powered. The way he handled it in front of my family was extremely rude. Anyways rules are rules. I just didn't know that was a rule, he could have been a lot nicer...Campground itself is very close together as sites are on top of each other... If you wanna fish in there fishless pond you have to pay 5 bucks a person. What a joke!!!! Sites are not level either. Would not recommend. - Harrison jones

Nice park the interior roads where a little tight. The site size was average with trees. The sewer connection was about 4 inches above the ground so a little harder to dump. There was some road noise as the CG is between a freeway and a busy state hi way. If we had not unhooked we would have been to long for the site. They are busy making improvements and it is in a beautiful area. It was okay for an over night stay. - sjones
Sep 2019 - $50.00
Great camp for big rigs of any size . Clean , quiet and seems to be an older crowd here at least during the week . Not a resort but a very good campground with great utilities and friendly folks in the office . Also the best wi fi I have ever found in a campground . Slight background hum from interstate 78 but nothing disturbing . Roads are very good and sights are flat and level . Great overnighter or place to stay while touring the area . Surprisingly beautiful countryside for being this close to Allentown . Lots to do in the area if you take the time to check it all out . - GDM
Jun 2019 - $43.00
Have stayed before several times just for an overnight. Stayed one week this time to visit family in nearby Reading, PA. Very pleased. Laundry a little strange. One washer and dryer in the men's and lady's bathroom each but more than adequate. Was in a 30 amp row, power good. Water pressure a bit low but OK. Not far from Allentown to the east and Reading to the west. Little college town of Kutztown pretty neat. Worth wandering through. A couple of "dive bars" very close to campground. Both had pretty good food and reasonable prices. Camp store pretty well stocked. Will continue coming back if passing through or visiting family. One thing to watch out for... When you leave the campground, vision to your left is limited by a hill. Oncoming traffic may not see you and you may not see them. Just be careful. - MissingLinc

Nov 2018 - $38.00
We were in the lower section of the campground (1/2 mile from the office and main campground). The sites are level and a good size. The staff was very friendly. Had no problems getting satellite reception and had good TMobile service. The lower section has no restrooms (other than a porta-potty) or other facilities. The office, restrooms, and dump station are located on the main campground which is on a very steep hill. The dump station is located in a dead end so you have to back up to get out of it. Fortunately, the campground provides honeypot service to drain your tanks twice a week for free. Avoid this campground if a heavy rain is expected. The small creek next to our campsite flooded late at night and created an 18-24 inch deep, fast flowing river under our camper. It washed away everything we had outside including our mat, wheel chocks, and Anderson levelers and actually moved our camper sideways a couple of inches. We had to pull out before the water got high enough to get in the camper or sweep it away. It is not fun trying to hand crank the leveling jacks when they are underwater. We ended up in a Walmart parking lot at 3 am. Others in the campground told us the same thing happened a month earlier and they had to get tow trucks to pull their campers out. - Chuck Shrader
May 2018 - $36.00
We camped here because it was close to our family. When we booked our site we didn't understand that there are 2 separate areas in this campground. We did know it was water/electric only. When you check in you need to go to the main campground up the road and then turn around and go back to the lower section. They did escort us our site from the main office. They do have a dump station but it is up the road at the main part of the campground. No cable or wifi in the lower section. Our site was close to the road but it was level and grassy. This section is very close to Rt 100 and near a intersection where 3 roads meet so you did hear the traffic when sitting outside. We didn't use the bath house or laundry. We would stay here again if we could get a site in the main part of the campground. - joinpa
Mar 2018 - $40.00
Stayed here 3 nights due to need to be close to a family function. Other parks in area were full. Older park with mostly permanent residents. Staff was friendly and reasonably helpful, but the park itself needs vast improvements. Here to attend family matters in Philadelphia, did not do any leisure activities. Lower section of park was only half full, so parking for toad off my site wasn't a problem. Trash dumpster stayed full and campers left bags on top of or around it. Based on overall conditions of park, we did not use bath facilitijes or look for laundry facilities. - Movgfwd

Odd set up in a little valley. Pull thru sites are on the flat valley floor, no sewer, and they are all set up to face the neighbors. Owner called them 'jack and jill'. This is great if you are camping with friends but awkward otherwise. Our Saturday night was quite unusual. The opposing camper decided to bring about 30 people for dinner. The noise was incredible. The owners did swing by after we complained and they told the owner they would break it up in about a half hour. An hour later they did finally dwindle down to about ten. Will not go again due to the set up. The owner was nice and I had a very nice talk. - Leggy

We really liked this park. Lots of trees and a stream runs through the middle of it. It was a bit tight to navigate the turns with a 43 foot coach but possible. - Tour49

It was the first time we stayed and we loved it. I have three daughters and they had a blast meeting new friends. The staff was very helpful park was very clean, camp activities and entertainment, pool the playground sand volleyball hiking where also a plus at this campground. Definitely coming back next year, already booked our date with them. A must see campground to visit. We loved the Rocks. - Mike and Jen
Jun 2014 - $48.00
The campground is farther off the main roads than you would expect after reading their brochure. No discounts for anything. Narrow entry and exit pasted the office. VERY hilly with huge drop off ditches on each side of the road. Steep road up the hill. Sites are no where near level. The bathhouse is old and outdated with no a/c or heat. The check-in clerk had no idea if the campground could fill propane in a motorhome. I did see the propane station but it was not reachable by a motorhome. I should have but did not read the reviews. Do not even think of going here in a motorhome. I will not return. - cmprcountry
Aug 2011 - $47.00
We enjoyed our stay here. They have an on-staff security officer who drove around the campground. Although, there didn't seem to be a need for him to drive around, it was comforting to see him. The campground was well maintained and the owners take pride in it. We especially enjoyed the ice cream shop. The couple that worked there was very friendly. We took a hike to the top of the mountain. The view was amazing, but we were not prepared for how hard it was. I think that there should have been more information on how difficult the trails were. - Mike in NJ

Oct 2018 - $55.00
Worst experience we have had all year while traveling cross country, very trashy run down campground. I called ahead to check on Passort America rates and was told it was $25 so I requested 4 nights. When arriving we were allowed to pick from a number of sites and were told the 50 amp was the same rate so we picked the only one available to fit our 38 ft 5th wheel. When coming back to the office we were only then told that Passport America only covers the first 2 nights and then were told that in fact 50 amp was an extra charge. They obviously are just trying to get people into their nasty campground and get as much money as they can from them once they're there. This campground is not even worth the passport America rate. It is 90% "seasonals" which have obviously been there for many years and are covered in junk and stayed in by people who look like drug addicts. We feared things would be stolen if left outside. Save yourself and pick somewhere else. - BrittanyFenn
Sep 2018 - $25.00
Gravel sites, many speed bumps, roads in bad shape (once paved), very poor campsite layout. Sewer hookup was 1' high, hard to get that to work. Water was actually in next site (dual hookup), electric (30amp) was way behind site, fortunately I have very long 50amp cord. Reg price $45, quite expensive for what you get. One night only and won't be back again. - travelingjerry
Jul 2018 - $32.00
The roads into the park are good, once in the park there are pot holes and some tight turns. Check in was fast and friendly. The park has a very run down feel to it. Most sites are permanent and not very well kept up. There is a fair amount of litter on the roads. Over the weekend it was very noisy with lots of partying. There is a pool, and numerous other activities, along with a catch and release pond. We were in site 118, a gravel pull through, end site. There is a picnic table and fire ring. Site was level with full hook ups. No issues with any of them. WiFi was very spotty. Verizon signal was good. We stayed June 14-18, 2018 and paid $32 a night. - BarrettsHappyTrails

May 2018 - $45.00
Large percentage of seasonal campers but very quiet and well kept. Campground is terraced and roads are all maintained gravel. Our campsite was open, grass and dirt, level with 30 + 50 amp service, fire pit, and a picnic table. There were trees throughout the campground but the site we chose was open to satellite service. They escort you to your campsite. This is being developed as a destination campground. So far, they have a pool, playground, full size basketball court, soccer field, etc. - don-marg
Apr 2018 - $47.00
This is a small park mostly filled with seasonals. There was a pool but, due to the lingering cold weather, I don't believe it was open yet. It was quiet, well-kept and all the staff that I spoke to were very nice and helpful. There were two washers and 3 dryers in the coin-operated laundry. Our first site required that we level with the front tires on blocks so we requested, and were granted, a change in site on the second morning. The internal roads are easy to navigate, but I would suggest big rigs bypass the first sign at Germans Rd (if you are coming west on 895), go to Lauchnor Rd and backtrack a bit. Germans Rd is very rough and there is a weight limit of 10 tons on part of it. Lauchnor Rd was in much better shape. Shopping and restaurants are not really convenient. - CnCOntheGo

Aug 2019 - $40.00
Very, Very rustic campground. We needed to stay in area for a wedding and work. It is very rustic, it has pool, which we didn't use, camp store is rough. They have activities for kids, but they announce over loud speakers at 9 pm and 11 pm, which woke up the grandbaby. No Wifi that we knew of. No Cable, and our Dish had too many trees in the way for signal. - JD LKG
Oct 2016 - $38.00
The road leading to the campground is narrow, but we were able to drive our 32' motorcoach to the campground with little problem. The campground is aptly named. Sites are wide with a gravel base and lots of boulders and trees. Sewer is not available for non-seasonal stays, but there are dump stations available and there is also a honey dipper service available for a fee. The campground offers different activities on the weekends and made announcements over a loud speaker about them occasionally, including when the quiet hours started at 11:00pm. It was noisy with children playing in the area we camped in (site 15).
One feature this campground offers is a deli that is open on Fridays from 4:00-9:00pm that offers dinner (this weekend was meatloaf - ask when making a reservation). This could be helpful when arriving in the early evening for a possible meal solution.
The owners are very helpful even with repairs, which we found out when one of our sliders stopped functioning. We appreciated Bill taking a look at it for us and helping us get it back in. - JC06
Jun 2012 - $35.00
This is the first time staying at this campground and we were pleasantly surprised. It is tucked away on some back wooded roads and the campground is spread out on two sides of the road. We stayed in a section away from the main campground where the pool and activities were going on, across the road, but we liked it. Very spacious, wooded pull through site. It has a lake for fishing and lots of activities for kids and grown-ups were posted. We walked around to see what the other sites looked like: 90% are permanents, but they have 2 small sections dedicated pretty much to weekend campers. And both sections were shady and set up nicely. We went to Rice's Flea Market on Saturday, which is about a half hour away. The only reason I'm giving a 9: the two wooded sections for weekend campers, do not have any bathhouses. You would need to walk a pretty far distance to use the bathhouses. We were only here for 3 days, so it was ok that they don't have sewer hook-ups at any sites at this campground and we could dump on our way out. We will definitely be coming back here at least one or two more times this season. We just loved that it was tucked away from it all. - pokey
