Aug 2019 - $65.00
We visited the Peaceful Woodlands Campground from August 9, 2019 to August 12, 2019. We found this facility to live up to its name... It was quiet and peaceful. Very enjoyable. Our site was easily accessed from the road. It was paved with gravel. It was outfitted with a fire pit, picnic table, and hook-ups (30 amp electrical, water, and sewage). The only problem we had was getting our trailer leveled. Had to pile up some gravel; then roll the left side wheel up on the mound. Trailer still was not leveled, but it was close. The restroom was fairly close, which we used on a regular basis as our teardrop trailer has no bathroom. There is no cable TV, but over-the-air channels were fairly easy to pick up. There are 9 channels available and came in clear once we got the antenna adjusted correctly. We found the WiFi at the campsite to be most disappointing. Logging on was easy, however, the use of the system required opening an account with the provider who in turn would charge a fee for the service. Not real impressed with that setup for the price we paid for the campsite. The Park is nicely located for easy access to local attractions. There is a play yard for kids and cabins available for folks without a trailer. The store is well stocked with items needed for camping in the event one needs them. The staff was friendly and made us feel welcome. Overall, we had a very enjoyable time and would visit the campground again if we travel to the Poconos in the future. Restaurants and local attractions with in an hour or so of driving. - James3
Jul 2010 - $54.00
We stayed here over race weekend and for a campground that is 2 miles from the track it should have been packed, but it was not full at all. We had to move to a different site because the one we were in was uneven and the auto level for the motorhome wouldn't level us. The second site wasn't much better but we leveled. The site itself was tight and we had no space on the side to set up chairs. With only 20 amp service you can't run electric water heater and a/c without blowing a fuse. We were only able to get 3 channels on TV via the antenna. The roads are narrow and to exit our site to leave campground I had to back up twice in order to make the turn. The interior roads are in need of some repairs. Some people who were registered guests had to leave their car in parking lot and walk to there site because there was no one to let them in when they returned from race at 7 o'clock. The campground made no arrangements to get these people in. The mini golf course is poorly maintained and not worth the money to play. If you are going to the race and do not have to spend to much time in the campground, this place will be OK, otherwise I would find someplace else. - Tom M

We just arrived home from our camping trip in the Poconos. We had a great time at the campground. The bathrooms were super clean and the staff were very friendly. I love going to a campground that has trees and is not a field. This was a true campground and allowed us to really enjoy nature. We even saw some deer, lots of chipmunks, turkeys, and rabbits during our stay. The sites can be tight if you do not know how to back in and it did take us a couple tries to get into our site, but it was very worth it. Our site had a beautiful rock wall and fire pit. My kids had a great time too. We hiked up to the tower and once you get up there, there are so many hiking trails to take. The swimming pool is only open for the afternoon, but the weather isn't really warm enough to go in the evening or morning. We had a great time and we booked another weekend for August. I would recommend this campground to anyone! - campinglori

Stayed here again this year, and same good service as last time. Did use the pool this year and it was nice. Bathrooms and showers were cleaned regularly, grounds were clean. Sites are tight, but we were at the races most of the time so it didn't really matter. Water pressure and electric were fine. Sprint and AT&T service was fine. Just wish they had a small playground for the kids. Definitely returning next year. Has become one of my favorite camping weekends. - acenorm
Aug 2017 - $55.00
The raceway purchased this campground a couple years ago and have done a lot of renovations. Bathrooms and showers were clean, grounds were clean. Pool looked nice, didn't use. Some sites are tight and the septic was raised in some. Still even with those problems, it was better than camping at the track where there are no hookups. campground is about a mile away and didn't run into any problems getting to and from the track. Interior roads were either gravel and asphalt. Room for big rigs. Sprint worked ok, got 8 over the air TV stations. Quiet hours were observed. Ice was $5 for a 20lb bag. Rating based on its a basic place to stay for the race, tightness of some sites. Wish they would add a campground for the kids. Definitely will stay there next year for the race again. - acenorm
Aug 2015 - $45.00
We stayed here in our 5th wheel for the NASCAR races, and enjoyed ourselves very much. My GPS brought us here on back roads, but we eventually found the CG. Many of the sites are on a slope, so be prepared to extend your levelers quite a bit. For full hookups, you will only have 30 amp service. For 50 amp, there is no sewer. The CG is very pretty and convenient, being only about 1 - 2 miles from the track. We would stay here again. - Gus the Fireant

After Labor day the camping sites you are put in is classified as " off season " campground. Their are NO moderns restrooms facilities at this location, no showers, only a vault type toilet, that is unheated and not maintained in a clean status. We stayed in a TT on 9/13/2019. - Cdr Bob
Sep 2019 - $33.00
Reserve your site online and avoid having to stop at the office. (They will charge you a $6.50 service charge even if you register and pay at the office). Limited parking for big rigs at office. Campground entrance is temporarily 600' beyond regular entrance while new visitor center is being constructed. The 6+ mile drive off I-80 is a bit of a "whiteknuckler". Do not attempt at night. Lots of hiking (43+miles of trails), 10 miles to bike trailhead in White Haven. Some sites surround 2 huge open areas of grass (my preference). Wooded sites available too, as this is a huge park. - Todd Fogelberg
May 2019 - $44.00
The campground is about 2 mi past the park office on the right - I stayed in site 12, which is a huge pull-through next to the bathhouse, which is clean and new. While it rained most of my trip, it'd be a sunny, busy site in the summertime, and I'd recommend one further from the baths. The tiny red gravel sand they use gets everywhere... and many sites are very close. Very good Verizon reception here. Also many birds. - minapie

May 2019 - $42.00
Nice folks, good place for an overnight..a bit costly for the amenities, but I guess decent for Northeast. Overall a pretty good place..shower areas seemed quite serviceable. Had a bit of an issue with the WiFi, but they were nice enough to come out and try to help. Site not super level, and the power hookup was almost too high for me to reach..but ok for an overnight stay...will probably be back. - NFRS
May 2019 - $43.00
Site 9 not near level, driver side rear tire off the ground, sewer hookup not convenient and TOO HIGH up, very expensive for 30 amp and lousy site. Roads in park were at one time paved, little left of pavement. I won't stay here again. - travelingjerry
Oct 2018 - $53.00
Site 12, pull thru. 50 amp Box was bad with bad neutral. Maintenance person came by and said my surge guard was bad, hooked surge guard to site 11 and showed him it was working. I was allowed to hook up to site 11. Site 12 was not level, stayed just overnight, roads were tight with trees overhang branches, mostly wooded, many full time residents, very pleasant lady who checked us in, electrician knew very little about electricity. Site pictures are somewhat deceiving, not what you see at the actual sites. Don't stay here if you have a Class A motorcoach. We won't be staying here again. - Kilde

Very clean well taken care of campground it is very beautiful and clean, lawns is mowed weekly, entire staff is very friendly and always helpful store and food area (their cheese fries are to die for.) I highly recommend this campground to anyone I know amazing peaceful place to spend a weekend. Beautiful swimming pool, bikes/ walking trails around campground property, campground events, great neighbors beautiful area to spend a long relaxing weekend with your family. - Jason Holden
Jul 2018 - $43.00
We have stayed here a couple times over the years. They are a little unique in that the 'transient' sites are mostly Buddy Sites. Not bad if you are traveling with friends and Family, but it could be an issue if your neighbor is not to your liking (or you theirs!) We had more than ample space for our 40' A and my brother's B. While we usually leave the park each day and tour the area, this time we never left. It was quiet and the weather was just about perfect. One other 'oddity' is that the pool is OVER THERE meaning it is a hike from any site in the park. It's nice, just not near anyone. This is neither good nor bad, just different. We will definitely return here in the future. One more oddity, we don't get any OTA channels here, but right next to us my brother had about 15 channels! Weird that! - blues traveler

A gem of a park. Quiet. Clean. Gorgeous views. Many seasonals so there are activities, a mini cafe and store. Sites aren't too level so bring extra levelers - but it's worth it. - mac2school

Sep 2019 - $48.00
We just 'overnighted' on a weekend and that's about as long a time as we'd want to stay here. The campground is 3-4 miles off of Hwy 209 on some very narrow, twisty roads. In fact, we scraped the side of of our 38-ft fifth wheel trying to negotiate one of the tight, tight corners. So be aware if you're planning a visit. Inside the campground, interior roads are dusty gravel. Made worse with the speeding vehicles (cars, trucks, golf carts, etc). Interior roads are fairly narrow with some sharper turns and hills to negotiate. Not necessarily big rig friendly. Sites themselves are gravel/grass and very close together. Quite a few seasonal campers and not all of them do a good job of maintaining their site. The weekend night we were there, the park was nearly full and noisy. May be quieter on a week night. Also, might be a good place to bring the kids because of the swimming pools and fishing ponds. Just not a place to go if you're looking for peace and quiet--at least not on a weekend. - boardman

This campground is an excellent place to stay with your family. The owners are super nice and really aim to please all their guests. The staff is very professional and work hard to keep all areas maintained. I let my daughter run free with no worries ! - Sophia83

This campground has its own private fresh water 10 acre lake. They have a nice sandy beach. My children enjoyed digging in the sand. They rent row boats and canoes. There is also fishing. The campground has blanket fishing license. Sites were very large, level and has stone on them. Well run and very organized. I had an issue with my trailer and one of the staff was there in a few minutes to help me out. We will definitely be back. - Josephg

We got there about 7:30 on Friday the office was closed we ran into a guy cutting the grass he helped us get a spot and asked if we were good or needed anything. We didn't and got set up. We found out the Office is pretty much closed on weekends but there are so many guys running around if we needed anything we would just grab one of them. Now this Campground is a Motorcycle and RV Campground we knew that going in. That is one of the reasons we went there. Just about everyone Rides and they all have just about as much or more into there Bikes than their campers but both look good or great. It is also a work in progress the Owner and Crew are working hard and adding more Sites. On Saturday they had a free with a Donation Live Band and Eats it went from about 8 to Midnight. Once the Band stopped everything stopped it was Lights out and quiet time. Yes there were Motorcycles but not late at night as the had respect for the other Campers. When we got there we were also greeted by one of the Owners and he had asked if we had everything we need as well. Like I said they are all a great bunch. We pulled out about 1030 on Sunday. - ztoymaker
Jun 2018 - $75.00
This time we stayed here they had Lehighton Bike Night so the price went up a little but we were all good. We had a Blast the whole weekend. One of the Owners said they had 2000 people last years and this year he thinks they doubled it. It was one hell of a party. All I can say if you ride a Bike of any kind come to Riders Resort. This is our second time and there will be more in 2019. - ztoymaker

This place was a little tricky to find but, glad we did! It's all wooded with a small lake and just a few amenities, good old fashioned camping. This place is not for big rigs but, the sites are decent size, bath house was reasonably clean and close to all sites and had lots of showers. It's quiet, away from traffic, maybe a best kept secret! - 88camper
Jul 2008 - $28.00
This is the worst campground I've ever been to in my life. Website shows nice pictures of the playground, pool , and gameroom. Those pictures had to be a couple years old. Gameroom is closed and full of junk. Pool was a nice shade of green. Playground was not taken care of and missing different pieces. The bathrooms weren't cleaned except dumping the garbage and the showers were pathetic. Two of the seven shower stalls worked; however, they were filthy and no hot water. Sites were a decent size but not taken care of. Broken picnic tables throughout campground including ours and exposed steel thru-out coming out of the ground from falling apart retaining walls. This is a real hazard to children. I would not go back here if it was free. For $28 I expect more. Its worth about 5 bucks. And lake in picture is only a pond , roads throughout were terrible. - Jim Carp
