Rate was $33 Canadian. Exchange was around 30%. Campground is right on the water, Northumberland strait. They told us to drive back in and pick a site, as many were soggy and underwater due to hurricane Dorian. Sites were grass, and pretty level. We stayed 3 nights, and would recommend. We camped at Linkletter Provincial Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

We drove, without trailer, up to north cape, circled back to West point, where we picked up fresh lobster, right off the boat, for just $6 each. Dont miss the Potato Museum. Fries are the BEST.

Fantastic place. Huge park by the ocean. Our site was a corner next to the beach so we didn't see our neighbors. There aren't trees so if you like the forest type of parks it's probably not going to appeal to you, but if you like the beach and the sunsets, then you'll love it. We camped at Linkletter Provincial Park in a Travel Trailer.

Every year on our PEI trips we stay at Linkletter. A good base for exploring the Island; the most courteous and helpful staff of all the PP's (they are all good but this is the best). Sites are close together and some were spongy due to the rain but now with a minimum of 30 amp for the serviced site you can run your A/C. Washrooms are the most up to date and well-kept of all the PP's. Not too much of a beach, tide difference here is minimal but the ocean views and sunsets are the best. Wifi was strong but would drop off occasionally. We camped at Linkletter Provincial Park in a Motorhome.

This Provincial Park near Summerside had camping for all types. Our pull-through "3 way" site (water, electric, sewer) had a nice view of Northumberland Strait. Satellite TV worked fine. A malfunctioning 50-amp socket was fixed promptly. We camped at Linkletter Provincial Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The (mostly free) Summerside Lobster Carnival, the second weekend in June, had cooking demonstrations galore with lots of free samples, and complimentary dinnertime hot dogs and lobster dishes. The Confederation Trail is an island-length rail trail of packed dirt and gravel with many parking spots to launch short rides or walks. A visit at a nearby alpaca farm was interesting but protect your ankles with bug repellant. Carr's Oyster Bar, a half hour drive away in Stanley Bridge, had ice cold and very fresh oysters, and a nice view of the bridge and fishing boat port. On the way back, we visited the house on which the Anne of Green Gables series was based and bought a pound of fresh scallops at Basin View Seafood.

Back for another stay at Linkletter. Price is in Canadian dollars and includes 10 percent discount and tax. Customer Service still second to none here and another change for this year in that they have upgraded the sites in the area we are in from 15 to 30 amp which is really good considering the warm and humid weather we are experiencing. Ideal base for seeing the Island and as always a very friendly and hospitable place to stay. We camped at Linkletter Provincial Park in a Motorhome.

A must see is 'Great Scot'- a new production in the brand new theatre seating 300 at the College of Piping. Eleanor's Dairy Bar on way to campground has great treats. Lots of good shopping on Grenville Street. Stop by the track on Sunday afternoons for harness racing.

Back again at Linkletter..everything from our previous review still stands..great location..staff who are second to none and clean facilities including a new washroom in the unserviced sites area..and for the first summer they have WIFI..apparently all the Provincial Parks on the Island except one now provide this service. This park is on Bedeque Bay. The full hookup sites are 50 amp and right on the water. There is not a good beach area but at low tide you can walk forever. The office staff in this park is a group of the nicest ladies I've ever met. They were certainly warm and friendly as we had heard PE Islanders are. The location is about 10 min from shopping and restaurants. It has very close access to the Confederations Rails to Trails Bike Path. We camped at Linkletter Provincial Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Sobeys, Atlantic Superstore, Walmart, pharmacy, hardware, restaurants all nearby in town of Summerside. Close to Confederation Bridge and major roads. It's a short drive (30 to 40 min) to the north shore where the more scenic beaches are; however, there are lots more tourists and traffic and the amusement parks on the north shore. About a 35 min drive to Charlottetown.

Nice Ocean Views.
We enjoyed our stay at this provincial park; it allowed us to explore PEI as well as enjoy the nice water views from the campground. Based upon our desired length of stay, I selected what appeared to be the best available site (which we enjoyed). Sites are a little closer than we would prefer, given there is no privacy between the sites. However, the sites are better spaced than at many campgrounds and most campers were quiet and respectful of their neighbors. We camped at Linkletter Provincial Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This was our fourth straight year at Linkletter and it is our favorite of all the Provincial Parks on the Island. Here are the cons- no WIFI, interior roads bumpy, field does not drain well after rain, mostly 20 amp service. Here are the pros- cleanest and best kept washrooms, level sites, laundry for a dollar a wash and a dollar a dry, excellent view, quiet and most of all it's the staff to a person they get it..friendly and number one in customer service! The campground is gated and manned 24hours a day. We camped at Linkletter Provincial Park in a Motorhome.

Camped here in mid June, season was just opening in this area. There were only about five campers in the park. The park sits right on the water's edge and you can see Confederation Bridge in the distance. Nice sunsets off the water. They allowed me to park my fifth wheel (large back window) rear facing the water. Electric service was dated but the climate didn't require us to run AC. We used this campground as a base to explore the central and west side of the island. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would camp there again. We camped at Linkletter Provincial Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Look for the smaller, rural, m0m and pop restaurants and order what the locals call a "Lobster Dinner" you won't be disappointed. Also, we enjoyed the flavor of the butter and dairy products from the island. "Heritage Trails" are unpaved dirt roads. You must update your GPS for Canada, our Garman wouldn't work because we didn't update it. $52 to use the bridge with RV.

This was our first stay in a state park type of campground. If you like those types of parks, than this one is excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful. The view of the waterway is outstanding. Our grass site was large and level. Located in the town of Summerside on PEI.It doesn't get much better. The park is close to everything you need or want to do. The downside is that it is a state or provincial park with no Wi-Fi or cable and offers only 20 amp service. Really felt unplugged for 5 days. However, the town offers free Wi-Fi, so all you need to do is drive the 4 miles into town to get Wi-Fi. This is a very nice CG, but probably would look for a CG with Wi-Fi and cable before staying here again. We camped at Linkletter Provincial Park in a Motorhome.

This is a nice park. The internal roads are in good condition and they are wide enough to make easy turns. The sites are level, wide and long. The laundry facilities were clean and reasonable. The staff were friendly and helpful when requesting local information. The water pressure and power good. I would certainly stay here again. We camped here five nights. I do wish it had WI-FI. Rate reflects senior discount. This was an interesting spot right on the Bay of Beddeque waterfront with a view far in the distance of the Confederation Bridge. Due to the area's dramatic tidal changes, periodically the water recedes and you have tidal mud flats you can walk way far out on. We had very strong winds the first day, too windy to eat outside, but kept away bugs. Basically though it is a flat grass field campground - some sites very large and others close to each other - none with privacy. Laundry was a bargain $1 per load wash or dry. Nearby town of Summerside has a great Atlantic Superstore Grocery and a Walmart. Wasn't bad for a couple of days. We camped at Linkletter Provincial Park in a Motorhome.

This is a great little park. The staff was friendly and helpful. We were late checking in so we called ahead to tell them we would be late. They waited for us and when we got there they walked us down to our site and helped me back in the trailer. The amenities were clean. We stayed on the last weekend of the season so the park was not full but the sites are spaced out well. There are shaded sites but they do not have hookups. The showers and washrooms were clean and well repaired. There was not a lot to do at the campsite, but it made a good base for us. This park is on the Straights of Northumberland side of the island so the beach had a lot of weeds on it. It was a fun place to take the dogs in the morning for a run. We camped at Linkletter Provincial Park in a Travel Trailer.
