The rate includes a Good Sam discount for five nights. The site was level, gravel, pull-through, FHU with 30 amp electric. There was an additional $5.00 daily fee to use 50 amp at the same site. The site had a picnic table and fire pit. We had good Verizon voice and data reception and good DishTV satellite reception. The park has several rows of seasonal sites occupied by long term campers. These sites have been improved with patios and screen rooms. The park has a very nice swimming pool with a morning exercise class. The park is near the highway and has road noise at night. The park had staff members that were bilingual so our lack of French was not an issue. We would stay here again. We camped at Camping Transit in a Motorhome.

We have stayed at this campground twice when visiting Quebec City. Campsites are generous and the staff is great. This location is perfect for taking the Levis ferry across the St. Lawrence to Quebec City. The view from the ferry especially at night is spectacular. We camped at Camping Transit in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

A restaurant we fell in love with in Quebec City is Q-de-Sac Resto-Pub. We liked the outdoor patio and the food is soooo good. We had the linguini and the ribs, both delish! Nice selection of beers too.

Price reflects US currency with full hook-ups. Nice grassy site with gravel road. Many seasonals had blacktop pads. Site 215 very way in the back, which was fine, but it was very close to the highway. I was happy that I had ear plugs and needed them to sleep. Otherwise it was a shady, large site. WiFi was extra, but it was spotty. The laundry facilities were nice. The dryers required many quarters as each quarter was only good for 4 min. There was 1 TV channel in English, but the staff spoke English and gave us information about the ferry. The shuttle worked great, we took it one evening, then the next day we drove to the ferry ourselves. This was a area, close to Quebec City and the ferry. We camped at Camping Transit in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice park with convenient access to Quebec City. They provide a free shuttle service to the ferry terminal, but it does limited trips at specific times and requires reservations. There is adequate parking at the terminal for $6 per day and it's only 10 minutes from the campground. There is a restaurant on-site and they will deliver to your campsite. Office staff is friendly and we were escorted to our site. Everyone speaks English well. There are lots of seasonal residents, but everyone kept their space clean and neat. I noticed someone mowing the grass as soon as someone left a site so that it would be perfect for the next visitor. We camped at Camping Transit in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

A lovely day trip is to the Ste. Anne-de-Beaupré Basilica and Shrine. Parking, entry, and guided tours are free and it is quite beautiful. About 5 miles further north is the Ste. Anne Canyon Park which has picnic table, easy hiking trails, a waterfall, and a zip line. Almost everything you might want to see in old Quebec City is within 3/4 mile of the ferry terminal, so I recommend avoiding the bus tours.

It was a busy weekend and we only booked for a 3 nights a few days in advance. Unfortunately, our campsite was situated close to the highway so it was loud. Other than that, it was a very nice campground, most of the roads were paved (perfect for bikes, roller blades, scooter), the pool was clean and warm, nice playground for younger kids and the washrooms and showers were very clean. There was also a restaurant and the campsite offers delivery at no charge on the campsite. Close to Levis mall (5 km). We camped at Camping Transit in a Travel Trailer.

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This a convenient park for exploring old Quebec. It is in a rural setting only a few km off the highway. The roads are thin gravel and the sites are grass. The front part of the park is for seasonal rentals; the back portion, nearer the highway, is for short-term use. Highway noise is significant, but our coach is well insulated and it wasn't a problem with the windows closed. 50A service is $5 extra. WiFi is extra. Most sites are quite wide, which is the good news. But the management often uses them as "buddy sites" with two RVs being crammed into a single space. Furthermore, although some sites are designed for "dual use" most are not. As a result, when we pulled into our site, the "buddy" from the next door site was using both the 30A connection on our pedestal, he was also using our sewer connection!! The park was totally full because it was a holiday weekend and the owner asked "could we take turns with the sewer connection?" I was willing to go along with this for one evening because I was promised that the neighbor would be leaving the next day. When he didn't leave as expected, we simply announced that we were using the sewer hookup that we had paid for. IMHO this was a very unprofessional way to handle things. When we return to Quebec I'll consider other places to stay. We camped at Camping Transit in a Motorhome.

Very long pull thrus with lots of nice grass between each site. Site is dirt with sparse gravel. We are in the middle of the park and road is noisy, but didn't bother us. Must pay for WIFI at a daily rate of $2.60. We declined as we had 2 bars of 4G on Verizon. We received most DISH channels. The free shuttle to the ferry was a nice touch. Staff and owners very friendly and helpful. Everyone communicated in English. No problems with language. Deducted 2 stars for needing a load of gravel on each site, so we weren't in the mud ftom the recent rain. And, owner mowed the grass at 8pm one night. That should have been done during the day, not when everyone is relaxing for the evening. We camped at Camping Transit in a Motorhome.

This is a very well run park. It was spotlessly clean, grass and gardens trimmed and no trash at all. We were in a site close to the highway, but while the noise was there, it wasn't a problem. They are usually completely full on weekends in August. The shuttle service is priceless. They take you to the ferry at 0900 and pick you up at 1630. It's about a 20 minute ride. The ferry drops you off in old town Quebec. The staff is friendly and helpful and the wifi is great. There is a small pizza place on site. All in all, one of the better RV parks we have stayed in. We camped at Camping Transit in a Travel Trailer.

This is a campground that is close to the highway, if you're a light sleeper or if you Rv is poorly insulated I would recommend getting a site as close to the camp office on opposite side. Geography at the campground is mostly open and flat. Roads are either paved or packed stone and seem to be in good shape. Our pull through site was level, had crushed stone and our full hooks were in good working order. Also noticed most other sites the same and sites were available for the larger Rvs. Our OTA roaming signal was poor. Campground is very well maintained as with the bathrooms & showers were clean and updated. Staff was professional and friendly and very helpful about the area around the campground. We enjoyed this campground and would certainly return or recommend this place to anyone. We camped at Camping Transit in a Travel Trailer.

Nice park. Easy access from Highway 20. Spacious sites. Good roads. Good pool. Restaurant on site--didn't use. Quiet. 30 amp. Water. Dump stations. Grass sites with a few asphalt. Park manager will change American Dollars to Canadian Dollars at the daily exchange rate which changes daily, with no fee charged. Free shuttle to the ferry to Quebec City. Ferry was $6.00 Canadian per person each way. Will stay here again. We camped at Camping Transit in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Quebec City--Old Town. Ferry ride. Hop on/Hop off buses. 4 different tour buses. Many, many, many shops. DO NOT DRIVE YOUR TOAD TO OLD TOWN--YOU WILL REGRET IT GREATLY!! City roads are narrow, crowed with busses and people, no accurate road maps--there is no grid system for Old Town. Wear good walking shoes--many steep hills.

Take the early shuttle to Québec ferry and make a full day of it - you'll need it. Two days would be better. This is one of Canada's very oldest cities- and it is beautiful.

Site 218 is a long, very wide pull thru on gravel and lots of grass. Paid for 50 amp, water, sewer. Could not use 50 amp. The L1 line kept dropping under 106 V with any load and our power protection system cut power to the coach when that happens. We used the 30 amp, but really needed two A/C units one day. We stayed on the site rather than move. Small but nice laundry. Pay showers took money but no water one night. Big pool full of kids, small pizza joint on site but didn't try it. Owners work very hard, try to please but fall short on execution. I think they are feeling overwhelmed with running a park this large. Many seasonal sites, all very well kept and friendly. No dog park but enough space to walk. Very, very noisy, right on a major highway. Would stay again but not in row 214-227. The owner claims he will dig up and "fix" it this winter but I'm skeptical. Note that the wife speaks very little English, which means she has to refer even simple things to him to answer, a real hassle. Nice people, I hope they succeed. We camped at Camping Transit in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Great place to stay to visit Quebec City, 30 minutes via ferry from Levis, an attractive large town in its own right. Parking at the ferry $8 USD, ferry is $3 C for seniors. Wear walking shoes and plan to get really tired. Make sure you see the Chocolaterie Creative, aka Museum of Chocolate. The Citadel tour was really uninteresting. Lots of services including supermarkets, Walmart, Canada Tire, etc, in Levis, ~15 minutes from the park.

This campground is located on a quiet road about a three-mile drive from route 20. It still backs up to route 20 and that means a little road noise, but not bad. Most of the sites are pull thru sites with 50-amps available for an extra charge. Good Wi-Fi is also available for an extra charge. Most of the sites are also satellite friendly. The road in front of the campground is quiet enough for bike riding and you can reach a nice bike path after a 4-mile road ride. Access to Quebec City is available via a ferry that is about 20 minutes by car from the campground. There is also a shuttle available that runs twice a day. Shopping and restaurants are available by car about 10 to 15 minutes away. We camped at Camping Transit in a Motorhome.
