Overall Rating:

Lovely campground overlooking the Gulf. Many campsites have a view of Bonaventure island and Perce Rock. Campsites are level and on gravel. Loved the look outs with the comfy chairs to sit and watch the water and Perce rock. We took advantage of the look out each day. Close proximity from Percé but not right in the town which is good because it can be a bit busy. Staff was friendly. Comfort stations were clean. Nice to have rec hall including nice chairs, tv and community refrigerator. Nice touch to have bbq for the campers to borrow. We used the laundry facilities and they were clean and efficient. Loved watching little ones feed the chickens and play in the playground. Overall, a lovely place. We will be back. We camped at Nature Océan Chalets - Camping in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Lots to see in Percé. The rock of course. Boardwalk. Mount Joli walk up to look out... great place for a picture of the rock. Forillon National Park is a 30 minute drive away, but lovely and worth the trip. Emerald Chutes Trail just up the road from Percé.... lovely!

We just returned from 9 days at this park. Great park...super clean and well run. Discount applies on stays of 7 plus days. Highly recommend...45 min walk to Perce or 4 min drive. Pierce...is beautiful. We camped at Nature Océan Chalets - Camping in a Travel Trailer.

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

No discount offered for our four night stay. The sites are on a hill, but terraced and level. The interior roads are mostly gravel, but the road to our site was mostly grass. Our limited ability to speak French was not a problem for the office staff. Our site was a large, gravel/grass, pull-thru, FHU site with 30 amp electric. There was a picnic table and fire pit on the site. The park has an overlook area for viewing Bonaventure Island and Perce Rock. Park wifi (unsecured) worked well. We had good Verizon voice and data reception and good DishTV satellite reception for 2 of the 3 satellites. Surprisingly, we still were receiving Presque Isle, Maine local channels via DishTV. We would stay here again. We camped at Nature Océan Chalets - Camping in a Motorhome.

We enjoyed the boat tour of Perce Rock and Ile Bonaventure. We also enjoyed hiking the island and viewing the Gannett colony.

Overall Rating:

We stayed here two nights in a Springer Camping Van. I can't say enough about the ambiance and courtesy of this place

Firstly, it's the quietest campground I've ever experienced. People seemed to be especially courteous in general. Secondly, it offers spacious sites for all. I hate to feel cramped! The management could easily put 3 times the number of campers and tents on the grounds, but clearly chose not to. We looked at other, warehouse-style grounds, some of which are mentioned on this site, but there is no comparison. The campground is across the street from the ocean but still has a lovely view and is on a hill. The higher up, the better the view. Also, the personnel were delightful and were fine with speaking English--no attitude!

The showers were great, with a hand built shelf in the shower for bathing supplies. A community room, good laundry facilities, small barbecues to borrow. I wish all private campgrounds could be like this one.

This was the best private campground we've ever stayed at. We camped at Nature Océan Chalets - Camping in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

5 minutes from downtown Percé and the ferry to Bonaventure. We took the 10 AM ferry to the island and around the Rock, and the 3 PM one back after a great hike and gannet visit, a must for visitors. Plenty of time.
