Nice views, best for medium size or smaller RVs.

We stayed here for a few weeks and enjoyed the views from the campground. The campground was nicely kept and conveniently located between Gaspé and Percé. Additionally, the woman managing the office was very nice and helpful. However, I would not call this campground big rig friendly. Their largest site (45'+) fit us, but it required us to back down a pitched gravel road for entry and exit. Due to the angle of the road, gravel surface and our heavier weight, the RV slipped/slid on the gravel road, while getting into and out of site #11. That was not a comfortable experience. Most people stayed at the campground for one or two nights, so we saw many RVers struggling to get up and down the pitched gravel road that looped around the terraced water view sites (sites #11-18) - those that appeared to have the easiest time had lighter weight RVs. They do offer some non-water-view 40' long sites that would offer easier site entry/exit, since they are off a non-pitched road. We found the campground free Wi-Fi was typically better than our Verizon coverage, but both were intermittent. If we had a smaller RV, we would choose to stay here again. We camped at Camping Tête d'Indien in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a fairly rustic camp and will not appeal to everyone. There are a variety of site types. The hill sites require quite a bit of maneuvering for large RVs. There are also 50 amp sites on the level and some grassy 15 amp sites for campers and smaller RVs. Only some of the hill sites and the grassy sites actually have a clear ocean view. The Wi-Fi indicates that it is good but it is extremely slow to load pages. Overall we were disappointed and only stayed one night. We camped at Camping Tête d'Indien in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Comfortable picturesque CG located outside of Perce, and half way to Gaspe. Hillside sites have a nice view out to the ocean and all sites are close to the beach. Access to the hillside sites is steep but okay. Water pressure is the only problem we encountered and it was okay. Their decks and fireplaces on the hillside sites are very nice. Walking distance to a small restaurant. Satellite friendly. Big rigs (like us) do come here and enjoy the CG. We camped at Camping Tête d'Indien in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Great little rustic campground with million dollar view over the entrance to the Bay of Gaspé. Friendly staff. Has a homemade look to the installations, but everything works and is clean. Free shower gel and shampoo dispensers in the showers. Free coffee. Outdoor shower for divers. Well thought out tent sites along the cliff with wooden windbreaks that also have a counter space and shelves. Some spots for big rigs, not the easiest to get in to, but saw 40' class A in some places. WiFi is not the fastest, but it worked for me, and there are not many campgrounds in the area that have it. 3$ for 24 hours on the honor system. Only 20 minutes to Percé town site with all the tourist attractions, Percé Rock and Bonaventure Island with a big bird population, well known for its Gannet colony. For me Tête d'Indien is the best campground in the area, as the campgrounds in Percé are very tightly packed and often noisy. We camped at Camping Tête d'Indien in a Travel Trailer.
