Another very nice COE campground. Paved roads and sites with lots of grass and widely spaced trees. Each site with table and fire ring. A ½ mile away from highway. Surrounded by big trees so very quiet. Sites with and without trees. No Wi-Fi, no cable TV, good cell signal, satellite TV signal in most sites. No game room or club house, pool, playground, or laundry. Close to a recreational boat launch and right along the Intercostal waterway. A campground not a resort. Good for big rigs. Staff friendly and helpful. 25 miles north of Charleston. Price for Senior Golden age pass. - Pepper Dan

Great camping area. Sites are well spaced. Most are open with full sun. There is a dump station on site. There is no gatehouse, however we were greeted by the camp host upon arrival. The site was easy to locate and very easy to back in. Our site (6) is adjacent to the woods and offered more privacy than the others. There is a large staging area adjacent to the camping area. Perfect spot to hitch or unhitch a tow. Boat launch next to camping area Hiking trails Major stores are 20-30 min drive away. - DJR CMR

The park is small, quaint, quiet and beautiful. Stop at the camp host to check in. The bathhouse, unfortunately, needs to be torn down and replaced. One stall in operation and I refused to use it. If it was in good working order, I would have given this park a 10 rating. The camp host greets you when you arrive if you follow the signs. (The sign needs to be enlarged or replaced). There are 14 RV sites and 5 tent sites. The site we had was perfect and I would reserve it again. The view of the intercostal was beautiful and I believe could be viewed from all the sites. There was a public grassy area with benches directly on the waterway. It would be very nice if there were also picnic tables in this area. A short walk to the boat launch. There isn't much to do here but read a book and watch the boats go by which is exactly what we wanted at this time. - Mamag76

This is an older KOA Holiday but more than adequate. The power podiums are in need of an upgrade, but worked fine, Cable couldn't get most broadcast stations, and antenna reception was iffy. Management said cable issues were related to the last hurricane and they were expecting a complete rebuild in the next few weeks. - DrLewie
Aug 2019 - $75.00
Pretty expensive for what you get, but I suppose it's the only game in town if you want to visit Charleston. The fact that the only difference between a normal site & a "premium" site is a concrete slab with a couple of adirondack chairs is a joke. Lots of shopping areas on hwy 17 & several restaurants. - Smooth Running

This is a fairly large clean, well maintained kid/family friendly KOA. The staff was excellent. The roads were paved and the sites were gravel. We had a pull through on a site that was level and a large tree for shade on the windshield. The park has a large catch and release lake and a very clean dog park. There is a long walking trail through the woods around one side of the campground. I took away 1 point because they do not recycle. - Michael47
Sep 2019 - $22.00
Used this park as a home base to visit Charleston and it works great for that. Not a destination spot at all, the campground is the old Navy Housing trailer park. Spots are close together but very easy to back into. If your cheap like me the cost can't be beat but you could probably pay $70 a night and get closer to Charleston. I was looking for full hookup within driving distance to the sites, this is it. - Sub Vet
Apr 2019 - $20.00
Pretty quiet and decent park with full hookups, but with some issues. During rain, some sites build up some deep water (2-3") levels. The play ground is caution-taped off. There is some old landscaping debris that hasn't been cleaned up in a long time. The restrooms/laundry are in a trailer. The laundry is in a small room with 3 washers/dryers (one dryer is not working). The campground borders Foster Creek where there is fishing - beware the alligators (they'll go after your lure/bobber). There are also about 20 miles of hiking/biking trails just outside the fence to the campground. - Wandering With Us

The camp Ground has nice deep sites that are well laid out and it's very quiet. It has two concrete "tracks" for the RV and large concrete patios with a picnic table and charcoal grill. The camp ground host is very friendly and efficient. - R Peterson
