Stayed here overnight as we were passing through the area. Site was long and fairly easy to maneuver into and out of. I could see larger rigs (like motorhomes) having a difficult time due to the angle of this specific site. Park was convenient, staff was friendly, utilities worked well. Would return if passing through the area again. - Megan McGrath

We had to take an overflow site, but it had electric and water which was fine. We were frustrated though when a class A pulled into the campground and couldn't get past our rv into his site. He knocked and told us to move. We explained that we were on our assisgned site and couldn't back up with a tow dolly on the back. He left and came back with either the park owner or staff person. She wanted us to unhook, unplug, pull in all the sides, drop the levelers, and move temporarily off the site she gave us. Unlike us, the other RV was towing a trailer that could be backed up. Finally the man backed up his rv and trailer and maneuvered into his spot. The park person was being quite rude so I asked if she was mad at us. She said she wasn't mad but didnt want an argument. We didn't plan to cause one. Maybe she knew something we didn't. The park staff person handled this poorly in our opinion. It should have been handled without involving us at all. We were quite unsettled by both the rver's and campground's behavior. We won't be back. - Tammy7

Spacious and long, big-rig friendly sites in Section A. Finely-crushed gravel, level sites with grass in between and a patio with a picnic table. Convenient laundry room, reasonably-priced machines. As others have mentioned, wi-fi not the greatest. Grocery store within walking distance. About two miles from either I-20 or I-26. Stayed three nights. Would stay again without question. - Halfmast

Rustic setting. Park was clean and quiet. Enjoyed having the flea market close by, as well as reasonable driving to town. Staff friendly and helpful, especially with directions. Enjoyed our stay. - witchey1
Jun 2011 - $30.00
'Enjoy American' lists this park @ $25, we paid $30. The host did not get out of his chair during check in and was discourteous. No park map is provided and no information on the location of showers or restrooms and dumpsters. The host told us to pick our spot, to avoid the sites that are roped off because they have no electrical. There is a huge dip in the entrance, just past the office, and from that point on this park just did not feel good. The entrance road is paved, a frontage road to the left is paved, all the others are soft sand. I drove a little way into the park and parked the rig, then walked until I located a site that I felt I could access without getting stuck in the sand towing the fifth wheel. All the sites are tilted so leveling blocks will be required and they add stability in the sand under your jacks. Fire and Piss Ants are everywhere and the park has done nothing to control them. After I set up I moved my pickup to clear the road in front of the rig and got stuck briefly in the sand on the road. Wi-Fi is free here, local company. We use Clearwire and had a strong signal here. Cable TV is not available; over the air picked up 4 channels, two of them the same. 50AMP with good voltage, water and sewer are good. 95% of the residents here are long term and some of the rigs are pretty rough. The park is is a bad state of repair and maintenance. Once upon a time the park was much larger but much of it is abandoned and no longer in use. It's quiet and services are 4 or 5 miles away. Diesel is down to $3.69 at several stations nearby. I do not usually rate quite this low, but this park just doesn't feel good, its poorly kept and there are no areas set aside for kids or playground equipment. If you ride a bicycle, this isn't a place to try it with the loose, soft sandy roads. - SilverBear
Oct 2010 - $30.00
Nice park, lots of trees, wide sites. All sites are on grass/sandy but easy to get level. Close to the SC State fair, dining and Wal-mart. Friendly owner staff. Would stay there again. They do have a sign that says "bath house" by the building but never used it. - reviewer3

Beautiful park, tall pines, quiet, decent trails, friendly people, clean bathroom. T-Mobile and Verizon both worked. Nice gravel level site, very spacious. Easy back in with the angle of the site - why can't more campgrounds figure that out? Some of the interior roads were tight in our 40 foot motorhome, with tall pines right up to the side of the road, but it's manageable if you go slow. You hear some road noise during the day if you're around but it's quiet at night. Saw deer strolling through campground. - Roaming Together
Jul 2018 - $23.00
Sesquicentennial seems like a real gem for day-use locals -- a beautiful lake with kayaks & paddleboats; a very nice playground & splash pad; quiet even in the midst of a city. So why the low rating? Unfortunately the campground doesn't match that same standard. Probably half the sites are unsuitable for RV -- or even tent -- use. The others are wildly unlevel, washed out, too small, obstructed by vegetation & roots, etc. The campground is the narrowest I've ever tried to navigate; trees right on top of the road. Our first site was unusable; fortunately the campground had plenty of vacancy, and we were able to find another that worked better. If you know the campground, and can pick yourself a good spot, then it's quite nice. If you aren't so lucky, you might not have much of a viable camping trip at all. - Spiffe
Dec 2017 - $27.00
About the Rates: The rates listed on Reserve America site show $21 per night during the week and $27 per night on weekends. This is the second State Park I've stayed at this year in South Carolina and despite what they tell you it works out to about $30/night +- with 12% tax. Basics: This is a park that use to be out in the country but is now a urban park. There is a constant hum of traffic but it's not too intrusive. The roads are gravel and tight in several places but wide enough and the turns are gentle, set up right and go slow and it's not a problem. Sites are gravel and most are reasonably flatish but some are pretty sloped. Picnic table and fire ring at each site along with 20/30 amp power only and water. No sewer but the dump station is on the way out along with the one dumpster they have for the campground fill your fresh water tank at your site. The bathrooms are not handicap friendly. They are clean, a bit old but functional with good pressure and lots of hot water, . No wifi but Verizon phone and Mifi work just fine. Multiple hiking and biking trails in the park with a nice lake for fishing and paddling around in. They rent canoes and kayaks. This Park CG is the closest to Congaree National Park, about 10-14 miles to downtown points in Columbia, and shopping is close. If you are beer lover they have 5 breweries and brew pubs in town. We'd stay here again. - pumper9x9

Very nice campground on the shores of a pretty lake. Access to level, concrete pads is a bit of a problem - campground is on a slight hill, rains wash deep ruts into the roadways! Parking pads are new concrete, level with lit pedestals, water and sewer and 30/50 amp electric. Found each site had a picnic table, grill and fire pit with grill as well - however, lazy people leave trash in fire pits which are not cleaned by personnel. In fact over 10 nights, we saw no one around other than patrols by Military police. - Retired Wanderers
Sep 2018 - $20.00
It is sad that this park doesn't take pride in itself - roads are washing away, ruts everywhere. Lawns needs TLC. No wifi. No TV. Staff indifferent. Nice spacing between sights. Price is right but they could show some pride and spruce the place up a bit! - CSM Carolyn

Oct 2017 - $20.00
Small 16-site park. Friendly owner. Decent Wifi. Passport America. On our way from Asheville, NC to Atlanta, we found this little park and we were not disappointed. We scooped up the last available spot, and it looked like everyone else was longer-term. Owners were very nice and lived in the house in the front of the property. Not much to do in the park, but there was decent Wifi (was able to stream low quality with a few interruptions). The site was wide enough to park the truck next to the trailer. We had 50amp FHUs. 4LTE Verizon. - Unknown_Normal

This is a gem of a hidden campground. Located on a major highway with easy in out access. Very clean, friendly helpful owners and a great pool. They also take passport america without any stay restrictions. Far above our expectations. - Dixster

As you enter this park you have a bad feeling, rough roads, mostly unkempt with pot holes, tree roots etc....A small park with more than a few permanents rvs. Highly advise asking for sites 31 thru 38. These sites are set aside from the rest and actually aren't that bad. Stayed in site 31, the best they got. Open and could get satellite on any of the 30s sites. Over the air tv was fine. Wifi was good. The owners live in a beautiful 2 story log home at the entrance. I truly believe the owner ran out of money after buying this log home because they apparently haven't put any money into the park. Run-down is the right word. Yet they were nice and helpful. Will not return....PS Bring leveling blocks! - Caseysplace
Apr 2018 - $31.00
Stayed one night while traveling. We have a 36ft 5th and had no problem in or out. The site was a very long pull thru. A little un level but doable. The roads are narrow but had no problems. A lot of tree cover, so no satellite. Wifi was good. People were friendly and easy to work with. - roybrody
Apr 2018 - $28.00
Made a reservation for a one night stay while traveling (no Credit Card, they just write your name down). Campground is close to I-26 but far enough out so you don't hear any traffic noise. Full hookups including WiFi. You get what you pay for, this is a great overnight campground but not a destination site. The roads are narrow but had no problem with a 30-ft Fifth Wheel, the sites are small, gravel and uneven. Our neighbor would not have been able to put his awning out without hitting our slide. The campground was quiet and worked great as an overnight stop, will use again when traveling thru. - Sub Vet

Very enjoyable stay at Dreher Island Campground...love the location of the sites in relation to the lake. The gas and general store are really a great feature, as are the campsites being paved. --My suggestion would be boat ramps in close proximity to the camping sites. --Also, due to supply/demand, it would be nice to see more camping areas on the island. It is a wonderful place, but must book way in advance. (booked June 2019 in Oct 2018) - CSB801
Jun 2018 - $35.00
Here are a couple of the things about our recent trip. The campground is all paved in the front Campground so you're setting up on the pavement which makes things a whole lot better. The pavement is only the size of the camper, so when you step out your stepping right onto gravel and/or grass. The road coming into the front campground is narrow but it is pretty much at water level so easy access in and out of the water for you and your kayak if you wish to take one. Facilities are very nice. all the bathhouses have been remodeled and are even air conditioned and heated. this is very very nice during the summer time. The boat ramps can get very busy on the weekends. there's one that is set up for large tournaments so the boat traffic in the area is very high so the water became very choppy so be careful when using a kayak. There's not too much around the Island so driving to get something was roughly a 10 to 15 minute drive to the closest town of Chapin. Groceries store (6 miles), Walmart (20 miles) The camping store/Ranger store does have a couple of items like ice, basic camping supplies, propane, charcoal, Etc. They also has some food items. they also sell live bait for fishing and rent fishing rods. The Back Campground is up higher than water level so to access the water was a little more challenging but the sites were very beautiful. Some of them were not paved and were gravel. There were several swimming areas around the State Park which meant accessing the water was very easy. There's a couple of hiking trails The only thing that I would say is negative about this park is the campground roads are really narrow. Backing a trailer into your site can get kind of difficult especially when people around you have cars parked everywhere. - Stephen Howard
May 2018 - $35.00
This park is 30 minutes from the interstate which makes it time consuming to get to because the roads are narrow and winding. It is a beautiful park with lots of trees. Many of the sites are lakeside with great views. The sites on the lake are a lot cooler because of the breeze. Many of the sites are hard to back into. All of those on the inside of the loop are hard to get into, with sharp drop offs. The sites were all paved and fairly level. The sites are narrow with limited area to put chairs or tents. - winnie1

We stayed here due to an evacuation in Myrtle Beach for hurricane Florence a group of us went seeking safe shelter. Once we got there, a few of us decided to leave due to the uncertainty of which direction the hurricane was going. When we checked out a young lady told us we would receive a two night refund. After several phone calls no one returned our call. Finally called and spoke to owner whom was very rude, and proceeded to tell me the reason we left was to have a hurricane party. The craziest thing I've ever heard. Campground is run down, owner is nasty. We are retired and on limited income it is very sad that people that people like her take advantage of evacuees. Don't waste your time visiting this campground. - Beachinmysoul

We planned a trip with our 2 young grandchildren and wanted amenities suited for kids. My wife found this campground online. We knew nothing about the area, but the website and reviews were impressive. We made the reservation...and crossed our fingers that we would not be disappointed. It was about 2 1/2 hour drive. When we arrived check-in was quick and easy and the staff was very friendly. We were on Site 41 which is a very level, spacious, grassy, pull-thru with full hook-up directly across from the playground. No cable, but we had excellent air antenna reception. The grounds were well maintained and clean. Very nice swimming pool and 3 catch-and-release fish ponds. Restrooms were very clean and convenient to our campsite. A kiddie pool would have been nice for our 2 year old, but he loved hanging onto "Pa" in the big pool. Our 6 year old loved the big pool, playground, jumping pillow and even tried her hand at fishing. I never tried the wifi connection. We had an amazing time at River Bottom Farms Family Campground...and we're already planning our next trip there. There were lots of other grandparents with their grandchildren there. Very family-oriented. I highly recommend!! - Roger Boggs

Little Cedar Creek has become a regular overnight stop for us on our trek south for the winter. The welcome at check-in was very pleasant, and our pull-thru site near the office was large and easy to access. The park was very clean, as well as very quiet at night. The hook ups were easy to reach, and the 50 amp power was was solid. Note that this park accepts cash and checks only, and they offer a veterans discount. We will definitely return the next time we're in the area. - NYDutch
Sep 2018 - $40.00
Strange experience and we won't stay again. When we arrived, the office was supposed to be open but was closed. Before someone came there was a traffic jam at the entrance. We made a reservation and confirmed it, but they said that we didn't have one. I think that we were the only people in the original park that weren't permanent. I didn't like that. It was just a weird experience that I don't want to repeat. - FSUWizard
Sep 2018 - $35.00
We stayed one night on the way to Charleston. The sites are level and the staff friendly. The negatives are no WiFi and the dreaded little round toilet. One toilet for the entire park...unisex. It has a. handicap placard but no way it meets ADS guidelines. The camp should spend a few bucks to correct the deficiencies. Good for a one night stay only. - Geodoc
