Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Small campground very convenient to highway and services. Price is right for PA discount. Location off I95 likely justifies the $36 no discounted rate. Sites were pretty level, although some were grass, some sand, and large trees created some pretty large roots across several sites. Grounds were clean, however, and hookups all worked.

We were able to get quite a few tv channels with our regular antenna. Wifi, however, is sketchy. Even within a few yards of the office, it was on and out. We heard that a long term camper has set up his own network which interferes with the campground setup. I had to resort to posting this review via my phone and never was successful in posting a photo to share.

The lady running the office was very nice. The store is sparse. No groceries, but everything is very close.

Although right next to interstate, we did not notice much road noise. Fishing lake seems to be biggest asset. No picnic table or fire rings on site.

Good overnight stop particularly if u can get the discounted rate. We camped at Bass Lake RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Came in late one evening but was greeted by a very friendly staff member, check in and shown to our site via four wheeler. Very large, level grassy field with full hook-ups. Campground was very clean and well cared for. There were people working the next day on various projects such as storm clean-up and improvements. We extended our stay another two days. Great staff, very friendly and helpful.
Would stay again.. We camped at Bass Lake RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Stayed one night. Nice park. Nice people just off the highway and easy to find. It was easy access from heading north on 95 but I don't think I could have made the tight u turn needed from the south bound exit in my 40 ft motor home with tow. Only used electric and stayed one night. We camped at Bass Lake RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Flat campground with level sites on grass. It puddles and gets muddy when it rains. Office staff is helpful and nice. Close to I95 and you do get some road noise. There are several permanent older units but they don't bother anyone. We camped at Bass Lake RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

No cable, but OTA channels were OK for an overnight stay. Couldn't access the WI-FI but we have our own Mobile Hotspot so no problem.

The sites are all on grass. Ours was level enough that we didn't have to use our levelers for an overnight stay.

50 A. power worked fine and sewer was available but we didn't need to dump.

Office was very polite and helpful. We camped at Bass Lake RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Stayed 2 days. Very courteous staff and security gate after hours.
Mix of open areas for good sat reception and 46 good digital channels, and shade trees as well. Roads are gravel, sand and bumpy. We camped at Bass Lake RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Harbor Freight distribution and outlet store (prices seemed the same as regular stores), but new and nice store. Wally World nearby and in Dillon, Del Sol Mexican restaurant was good and Pates coin laundry was OK. Neat small town feel.

Overall Rating:

The roads through the park need some work, several pot holes, but not deep. Easy on/off I-95. Close to a Wal-Mart and restaurants by car. You can hear the interstate traffic, but not horrible. We were in the second row from the front, site 8. It was pretty level, but only packed grass and sand, but firm. Other sites behind us had trees that seemed to be close. Electric, water and sewer. No cable and we did not try their Wi-Fi. There is potential here. Pretty little lake. Gated security at night. We were guided to our site, so we are not sure of the row letter or number. We camped at Bass Lake RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Our 3rd stay at Bass Lake & we will definitely always go back when en route to and from Fl. Very easy access from 95 - minor road noise - major train noise (but we love trains!). Efficient, friendly reservations & office at check-in. We called a day ahead on our way back from FL & were told all the 30 amp full hookup sites were reserved, so we arranged for an available site without sewer (they have a dump station). When we checked in, that was still the case. We were escorted to our site, but minutes later, the nice office lady came by & said she was able to rearrange sites & redirected us to a full hookup. Clearly, the staff goes out of their way to accommodate. Sites are mostly in a grassy, sandy field - a few wooded, but those seemed mostly well maintained seasonals. Hookups are functional & well placed. Immaculate bathhouse. Our verizon signal was excellent. Wi-Fi available but not terrific. No cable. It's a rustic, serene environment - a treat after a day of enduring inconsiderate/speeding/non-yielding drivers on I-95! A lovely place for a walk with or without a dog. We camped at Bass Lake RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We had a reservation and arrived shortly after 3:00PM. Check in was very efficient and courteous. We were escorted to our site by the owner/manager and politely thanked. The sites are grass and mostly level. 50'amp service with water and electric along with sewer hookup.

No real extras such as cable, etc. but plenty of over the air TV channels were found by our antenna system. Not a destination, but wonderful for an over night stay. Nice lake on site offering catch and release fishing no license required. We will definitely stay here again. We camped at Bass Lake RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Just 5 miles south of South of the Border, SC. Some traffic noise from I 95 but to be expected since it is so close and convenient to the Interstate.

We stay here because it is close to some relatives. This is convenient to I-95 but trees and shrubs block noise. Staff is helpful and full of good info. There are a number of full time residents but there are some pull thru transient slots separate from the full time residents! They do have propane! Very clean restrooms and showers. Good Wi-Fi . No cable but plenty of local channels. Lot of permanent trailers . good for an overnighter. Would give it a higher rating but we was put between 2 permanent sites and it was very unlevel. Plenty of level empty sites out front. We camped at Bass Lake RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: December, 2015 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Stopped just for a night. Had read reviews and saw rates of $18-$20 which we felt fair just for a place to park for the night. Didn't need services. We're quite surprised to have to pay $31 even with Good Sam discount. Lady said "you may as well use the services since you have to pay for them" and when we were deciding "do you want to stay or not?"; not the friendliest. Worst part, Not just a little noise, this park is directly adjacent to I-95 and roars all night, all trains must be very close by as we regularly heard them. We camped at Bass Lake RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed for 2 nights. Older campground with clean washrooms. Not much pictures on their website to show how the rv park is. Our site was open, no shade very close to the other. Could not open our awning. The sites with only water and electric are beside the full hookups. You park back to back as there is only one sewer for two sites, which puts the other site very close to your rv. The sites with some trees are a bit larger and are more for monthly or seasonal campers. WiFi hotspot only at the office, very slow and cuts all the time. The Walmart Wifi was faster! Good TV. A lot of noise from I-95 and trains all day and all night, it would wake us up. More noise Saturday and Sunday 14 & 15 November from around noon to 7PM (Dillon Motor Speedway Monsters Truck) just the other side of the airport and camping. Would not stay here again because of the noise from I-95. We camped at Bass Lake RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
